I chose WBHC because they have been a great service company since I moved to MN in 2007. Before I found WBHC a few years ago, I had a couple other companies service my furnace and AC as needed. I never really trusted these companies because of the high (and sometimes unnecessary) costs, as well as pushy “replace it now” attitude. WBHC helped with a couple intermittent furnace problems over the years including check-ups, and also tuned my AC when needed. I squeezed as much life out of my old furnace as possible. I called WBHC a few weeks ago to get a revised quote for a complete replacement. I did not get competitive quotes because #1 I checked with some other furnace guys I know and they said yes, this was a fair price – and #2 I thoroughly checked the manufacturers and models they quoted, which were in the top of Consumer Reports and other review sites. I signed the quote and sent them a deposit and hoped they could install it before Christmas when we have a very full house. They completed the install within one week. The day they came they arrived on time, removed the old system and installed the new system, then walked me through everything including the fancy thermostat. They took great care removing the door to the utility room, covering my floors, covering other stuff in the utility room so it would not get dusty or damaged, and cleaning the area after the install was complete. I love the new furnace, humidifier, and thermostat – and especially the comfort of knowing I do not have to worry about a 20yo furnace making it through another Minnesota winter. WBHC was polite, professional, and competitive and I highly recommend them.

The consultant came out and explained that worse case scenario, I could apply my deductible and have a new unit within 3 days. He encouraged me to contact the company that I purchased it from to obtain the purchase records and contact Trane directly. He said I have a top of the line unit and was sure that this would be under warranty. Because of him, I did not need to fork out for a new unit which is was the three servicemen before him told me I needed. Saving me thousands.

Someone came out immediately and took the outside unit cooled it down and explained that he was unable to fix it but was forthright with limitations

Tye Schloer did a great job on getting our A/C back to working again! It appears we need to replace this old unit but for now, he got it working. He was on time, pleasant and very professional. We'll work with him and the company again.

Rick was friendly and answered all our questions. Fixed the problem and did a tune up also. We have always had good service from this company.

They were very timely, pleasant and quick. The are proffesional and very nice guys.

The service was great. They were easy to work with and had competitive pricing.

We were dissatisfied with them. We had them identify where the leak was in our system. Their proposed solution was for us to go without heat for 5 days while they ordered the parts to reroute the leak. Our insurance company refused that as a solution and brought in its own contractor. They did not do the work for us but we had to pay $99 for the emergency visit. We would not use them again.

The air conditioner was not working and we called them as they were the ones who had installed it 19 years ago. The representative came out and said the air conditioner was dead. They came a week later and installed the air conditioner. It took about 7 hours for them to complete the job. They did a very good job. They were careful about putting the equipment. They matched the size of air conditioner and the furnace to our house size. They made sure we knew how to apply for the rebates and they would process the information for the tax credit. They took care of all those details for us. The price was competitive. They gave us $115 credit on the original inspection. They were punctual and competent. They cleaned up after themselves.

My experience with this company was the worst customer experience I have ever had. I was told the estimate was free but they charged me $100.00. The technician was late. This company said the unit needed to be replaced when it did not. Follow-up calls to the company regarding the $100 for the estimate were not returned. When we did in fact get through to the company the lady told us she would return the $100 check and hung up the phone. We never received the check. I filed a complaint with the BBB and it was classified as unresolved.

IF THEY DIDN'T WANT TO DO THE WORK, THEN JUST BE HONEST. I HAVE NOW WASTED A LOT OF TIME WAITING FOR AN ESTIMATE AND HAVING TO FIND OTHER CONTRACTORS. TERRIBLE FOLLOW THROUGH.
