These people are real pros, and were easy to work with. They held their schedules, and carefully previewed the site to be sure nothing went wrong. They got us a beautiful results and I highly recommend them.

Marty is a good communicator and super reliable. The workers show up when they say they will and finish when they say they will. Not the cheapest but reasonable, and they do a good job. Have hired a second time already and will be hiring a third for our garage.

Hugo Painting & Drywall installed the bedroom ceiling drywall, taped and applied the knock-down finish. I did the preparation work of removing the old material. I also did the cleanup, painted the finished ceiling and reinstalled the light fixtures. It took several months to schedule the work, which was longer than I had hoped. However, once the work was scheduled it went very smoothly and quickly. The materials arrived 2 days ahead of the work. The drywall was installed in ½ day. The taping and the knock-down finish occurred over the following 3 days, about 1 hour each day. It was good quality work, and the people were courteous and professional. I am very pleased with the result.

Marty provided initial estimate breaking out hanging from taping/mudding of basement finish. They were out a bit on schedule and I chose to hang the sheetrock to save some money in meantime. I also used wider rock to avoid seams to kneewall which hoped would save some cost. Re-estimate came back for taping/mudding but to include lowest level (laundry) walls that I finished off about the same amount. He explained it would be no more than estimate but could be less if job went well. Ensured all was prepped well for them and went ahead with the job. I worked with their schedule around other larger jobs (no particular time crunch) and they completed job over course of five days. They were personable and professional in their work. While there were a couple minor areas found as we painted, the overall job looked great. Confident if something significant were to arise, Marty would ensure it was addressed. Job came in $300 less than estimate! That was nice to see.

They were fast and did not really live a big mess. Overall it was a good job.

Marty came for the initial estimate. He was thorough and professional and had an estimate to me quickly. I contracted for the work and they were up front and said they were about 6 weeks out. This was not a problem for me so they put me into a queue. They got me in sooner than the six weeks. They estimated 3 days to do the work. Dale arrived promptly and reviewed the work. He quickly finished everything within 2 days! He was professional. Cleaned up after himself and the job is fabulous. There is no question I would recommend them to do the work or have them come an do other work at my home!

Prompt, easy to communicate with, and was job was completed as scheduled. Two areas needed to be touched up with drywall patch after we painted and Hugo Drywall came back to fix them without additional charge. I plan to use them in the future, and will gladly recommend.

Went really well. They were on time and did solid work. They even helped with some other items that didn't fall under their responsibility. They will be doing the rest of the drywall work on my house.

It went fine. They got us in earlier than expected. It was pretty seamless. They did a good job. I didn't deal with them directly but my husband didn't complain.

Marty has a different person or crew for each stage which at first was weird to me but during the process I could see how efficient Marty has set up his business. Marty's first crew member was awesome and he was very professional and was on time and worked very efficiently to get his part done (he put in the drywall) and he was super fast! The second crew came in to mud and sand and again they were very efficient and professional, on time and they were super fast!! |All in all this is a company I will recommend and hope to use again to complete our basement! Great quality work. They finished ahead of schedule and called before each day to confirm timed.

This is the second time I have used them and for the second time it went flawlessly. Also for the second time the cost was lower than what they quoted me. I will use them again when we remodel the second floor of our house.

Their estimate was the lowest and I got the best vibe from Marty than all the rest of the estimates I received. They were able to start when I wanted and others were not that flexible. My schedule had them starting within a week. I was in the house construction business for around 20 years, 10 as a carpenter and 10 as a project manager and my expectations are high. They met all my expectations. They did the job in the number of days I would expect them to do it in, also the number they said it would take. When I had a couple of issues, minor as they were, they were right back the next day to fix them up. They now look good. The best thing was the cost was less than the estimate because they were able to do my job in between another job that was close by so their travel time was cut way down. You don't often see that. I will hire them again on the next part of our remodel.

Their prices was really great and the lowest I came across. They did a great job by giving personal service. The owner called and checked in with me throughout the job.

I had trouble finding a paint color that I liked, so Marty recommended that I see Jack at Forest Lake Sherwin Williams, who was a great help in choosing colors. Marty and Dale fit in our paint project before Christmas and changed dates for us when I couldn't find a paint color that I liked., which was greatly appreciated. Both Dale and Marty are very experienced and personable. They do great work and do a good job in cleaning up after their work. While Dale was getting ready to go out of town immediately following our project, he took the time to do a great job and to make sure we were happy with the work. Our estimate as for $1354, yet they charged us $1194 as they used less paint and the project went faster than anticipated. Hugo Painting is the only contractor that we've ever used that has billed us less than the estimate. This is the second time that we have used Hugo Painting and would never go anywhere else. They do great work and are extremely honest. They are the best.

Overall Hugo Painting and Drywall surpassed our expectations. We were VERY impressed with their work, proficiency and professionalism. In addition, they had the best price of the three companies/individuals we got bids from. They will be our go-to company for future projects in our home.

Excellent. Marty sent his crew out over the course of two days. The two doorways look identical to the other finished doorways in our home. The drywall on the top of the doorways had to be doubled up to make it the same height as the other plastered doorways in the house. Couldn't be happier.

After a remodeling project, we had a bathroom with some drywall seams that needed professional attention and a textured ceiling that needed to be re-painted. Marty came out and gave me a very fair estimate and then Dale came the next week to complete the work. Because it was such a small project, they fit me in first thing in the morning and Dale was there to the minute on-time both days. They did a great job cleaning up and the work was very well done. Invoice actually came in under the bid price because they wound up not needing to as much work as they originally thought they would. I would definitely hire them again and refer them to friends. Great guys and true professionals!

These guys are great. I have used them 3 times. They are super nice and always give a great price. They always help me find the best way to do things, and I've never seen a flaw in their work.

We did some sheetrock work in the laundry room. Our application of mud left a lot to be desired. Dale tactfully suggested that he could go over the area with mud once more for us, which I was very willing to take him up on. Even with this extra work, Dale and Marty charged us $200 less than the original estimate because the job went faster than then had anticipated and they used less paint then they had thought they would. I was so impressed by the quality of their work. They were very busy, but were able to fit in our home before we had guests coming to visit, which we very much appreciated. But most of all, I was impressed by their honesty. I have never had a contractor deduct from their orignal estimate. These guys are the best. What more can you ask for. The work was top quality, they were very professional, and their honesty was so impressive. Can't go wrong with this team.
