West Title

West Title was the buyers titling company during the recent sale of my home. The buyers closed on the house at 10am on a Friday. I was told the money from the sale of the home would be wire transferred to my account that day. I didn’t see anything and called my agent around 3pm on Friday. She called West Title and the told her they missed the wiring deadline for the day and I would see it on Monday morning. Monday morning came and went. I called and complained. The lady on the phone was nice and explained that she “just” put the transfer through (not on Friday as I was previously told). I’m writing this on Monday. I called my bank. They still have no record of the transfer. Chase mortgage says that my mortgage on the hose has not been paid off yet. I am living in a truck waiting for the money to come through. The buyers of my home (represented by West Title) got to move in on Friday. I’m homeless, gave up the house to the buyer, and have not seen a dime. I am certain the payment will eventually go through. However, West Title has caused me some hardships here. The unfortunate part is, the buyer that chose West Title to represent them doesn’t know any of this. They are likely enjoying their new home while I am waiting on their money so I can pay for my new home. Would not recommend.

don't use them! I purchased a house that sits on 5 lots (.45 acre) but West Title only did a title search on 2 lots. needles to say I only got 2 lots in my name. so half my house, septic and well are not even in my name. if they were to do a title search like they are supposed to they would have caught that! they said there is nothing they can do. I cant refinance or sell my house due to a bad title! update on bad title search. I had to pay just over 11,000$ to get a clean title on my house that west title said they will not stand by their work! why did I pay for title insurance?

Very, very well. They were the FIRST and ONLY title company that was fully informative with understandable answers to my annoying questions. They pointed out when and why I would want title insurance, and when I might not, and then also gave me both sides of the need for a separate closing company. Now I am more fully informed and able to make a rational decision. This makes me comfortable that the company is transparent and honest in anything else that may come up during future transactions.Way more comfortable than the other guys I was dealing with. You can bet I will recommend them to anyone who asks. Yay WestTitle!

This title company was able to save us around $1,000.00 because they had access to lower rates. They were very reasonably priced and we did not have to pay an appraisal fee. I thought everything was very well done and I would use them again.
