Their initial bid was almost 1/2 the next highest bid. I spoke w/ the owner and he recommended the larger (commercial) downspouts which tacked on an other couple hundred to the final price. They were able to modify the downspouts to accommodate rain barrels at no additional cost and included finished materials to return them to winter usage.

Last year they gave me an estimate for doing both front and back of my house and performed work on the back. We put off the front of the house until this year. When I called they were responsive and kept to the estimate to finish that they had made last year. They arrived within 2 days and performed the work. We have been very pleased with the results.

It went fine. I called, based on their rating here, and asked for an appointment. I left work to meet the gentleman, and by the time I arrived, he had already surveyed the house, and estimated the job. We went over his suggestions for improvement, and we were choosing colors 10 minutes later. They just completed the job, and it is flawless.

I had found this company on Angie's List. I thought that they did a great job. They had many colors and products to choose from. I thought that the staff was easy to work with and listened to what we wanted. The installation was top-notch.

They came over and did the estimate a day after I called them. They arrived on time when they said they would. They were very pleasant. They seemed professional.

Arrived for the estimate promptly, which is more than I can say for the other companies I requested estimates from. The work was scheduled and completed (1 day) in a timely manner. There were two issues - one was the result of me not carefully reading the estimate (a section of the roof line was not included in the estimate), and the other was my verbal request of a downspout routing direction not being properly translated to the estimate. I called that evening and relayed the information. The additional gutter was added and the direction of the downspout was changed the very next day. I am very pleased with my new gutters and would recommend Tonka Seamless Gutters for anyone planning gutter installation.

On my part I did not look close enough to the proposal to know that only one downspout was proposed for the front side of the house. The person responsible for the job, I believe his name was Chris, was not very accommodating when I pointed out that there was only one downspout opening and that it look strange to not have one on the other side. In a somewhat angry tone, he said that if I wanted one on the other side that would have to be another job on another day. He did end up putting it on. The day after the work was completed, I called in and spoke to Joe O'Connor to pay by credit card. It took a few calls before we got the payment all straightened out. One of the glitches was that I noticed I was being charged for 76 feet of flashing which was not installed on the house. There was existing flashing yet there was a charge included for it. It was verified that no flashing was installed and that my existing flashing was what was used. Joe did remove $75 for the flashing, however, my concern and complaint is that had I not witnessed the installation, I would have been charged for the flashing without knowing it.

In late May 2008, after consulting Angie s List, I hired Tonka Seamless Gutters to do my residence. The person that first answered the phone said the estimator would call back and within the hour he had called, and we set up an appointment at my house for the next morning. He showed up on time, picked the proper color, measured, advised no gutters for part of the house, answered my questions, wrote up an estimate, and said that unless he heard from me the crew would show up on a mutually agreed day about a week later. A crew of 2 showed up with their equipment, were neat and business like, did not play a boom box (loud boom box noise is particularly annoying to me) and were cleaned up and done within 4 hours. My only complaint was they left me nothing to complain about. Imagine that!

This company got to our home very quickly to do an estimate, and they were able to come get the work done within a week of hire. As far as I can tell, they did a very good job of installing the gutters. The one problem is that they left a huge mess: the yard was strewn with rusty nails, jagged pieces of metal, paint chips, gobs of adhesive, and other debris. In addition, there were bucket-loads of dirt and clumps of leaves all over our stoop and sidewalk. I spent 1 1/2 hours cleaning up the mess. Not sure why you did such a sloppy cleanup, since the job itself only took about 3 hours. I would seriously ask: Do you have a metal detector that you can bring to find any remaining nails and scraps of metal that you left in our backyard? Otherwise, I don't know if I can visually find and remove all of the sharp and dangerous debris you left throughout the yard where my family relaxes and small children play.

These guys were great!!! They responded quickly, were very willing to help and gave me recommendations that were better than I had requested. They did all this even though we did not use them for the system originally and in spite of the small size/cost of the request. Imagine how they would work with you if your need was much greater!!! When I need a new system or major repair....I know who I will call...TONKA!!!!

Called Tonka Seamless Gutters to request an estimate on installing gutters and downspouts on our home. The estimator called back within the hour and an appointment was scheduled for the next day. He showed up on time and provided a written estimate with a thorough description of the work that they would do. We had also called three other companies for estimates, only one of these showed up. We decided to hire Tonka based on their responsiveness and professionalism. The work crew arrived at the house at the scheduled time, they were friendly and wasted no time getting to work. The job took approximately six hours and the work crew did a great job of cleaning up the yard afterward.

They were here on time and put everything up well. They don't leak so I was happy with them. They had a good choice of colors and style, which I like. I found one screw in the driveway, which I didn't like, but it wasn't a huge deal. The gutters are great and I thought they were very good.

They where very friendly. They had showed up on the time they said they would be there. They where very professional about the job. They where very trustworthy.

Joe came in March to prepare an estimate and is very knowledgeable (as he isn't shy to tell you) in this business. He provided a written estimate and the price quote seemed very reasonable. I called two months later and I was able to get an appointment within a week of my request. The team was scheduled to arrive at 9am, and I was pleased to see them arrive 20 minutes early and immediately go to work. They had the gutter specifications exactly as I expected and completed their work by 9:03am. They were very polite and professional; and the cost was the exact amount of the fee quoted. I would recommend their services.

This company was great! The whole quote process took about 10 minutes. The quote was competitive, and I hired him on the spot. His team did the work in a very short amount of time and completely removed all debris (materials, old gutters, etc.). They even took out my old "gutter guards" and put them back over the new gutters. The service people left an invoice to make it easy to pay later. I would recommend to anybody, and will certainly use them again when I need this service.

Great service and great job! I called and spoke with Joe for a free estimate and he got out the next business day to do that. Estimate was what I expected if not better, so I called Joe to do the work. He had the job scheduled within the week for completion and everything looks great! No more leaky gutters and rain dripping on our heads!

They were very responsive--came out and did the estimate the same day I called. We set up a date for the work to be done and it was done that day while I was at work. No problems whatsoever.

Joe returned my call right away, actually, several times, as I was busy in meetings at work. They came out to do an estimate the next day. They were right on time to do the estimate and let us know where we did and did not need gutters. They didn't try to oversell us anything that we didn't need. The gutters were installed the next week while I was at work and everything was cleaned up when I got home. Also, I didn't put any money down. I was told not to pay until I was satisfied with the work.

Called for an estimate to install gutters on newly constructed house. Very punctual, friendly and knowledgeable. We talked with 6 different companies before deciding. Three of the estimates were very reasonable, this one included. We had trouble deciding between Tonka Seamless and another company to do the work and eventually went with the other because their warranty was slightly better.

They called back the same day, were professional and polite.

From bid to finish of the project all went well. Not cheap, but work done on time, efficiently and professionally. All communications with the office and company reps was good.

It went very well. The company representative came out and provided an estimate. We talked at length about whether to get LeafGuard or plain gutters with larger commercial-grade downspouts. We decided on the latter. The crew showed up on the day promised and finished the work that day. All the downspouts were laid out exactly as on the plan.

The installation went well and the gutters look great. They installed one section of the downspout in a manner that I wasn't aware that they were going to do. I'm okay with the results though - just unexpected. Also, a splashguard off of a valley wasn't installed and elbows that I requested were not left behind. On my request, they came back and added the splashguard and left the requested elbows at my front door. Also, two of the downspouts were installed crooked. I took off the brackets and reinstalled them so that they were vertical. The clean up could have been better overall. I am still finding old nails and strips of metal and have a $40 mower blade to replace because of this. I was told by Joe to spend $5 and get it sharpened. The edge of the blade is ruined though. He offered to take $20 off the price, but I was insulted by his reaction to my issue and declined. It wasn't about the blade - I was just pointing out how things could have gone better...

About as perfect as perfect gets. We weren't even home when they did the work and I couldn't be happier with the results. We had a dip in the roof line of our 1925 house and they installed the gutters in a way to compensate for this. They knew that we were getting other bids and didn't pressure us at all as we went through the process. Friendly responsive staff as well. The job got pushed back one day because of weather and they called first thing in the morning to let us know. We are happy with the results.

The appointment was scheduled about 2 weeks earlier by the owner, Joe O'Connor. He said the crew would arrive in the morning. By 10:20 am of the scheduled day no one had showed up, so I called Joe. He said the crew was finishing up a job and would be at my house within an hour. They finally showed up at 1:00 pm, with no explanation or apology for being late. However, they went right to work and did everything as planned in about an hour and a half. They showed me everything they had done. It looked great. They hauled away all the old material and left no mess. When it came time to pay the bill, I saw that it was $30.00 LESS than the original estimate. Whether that was a re-estimate or a concession because they were late, I don't know. But less is always good!
