AWESOME people to work with, I worked directly with Steve. He came out, walked around the house with me and explained everything. He didn't try and sell me something i didn't need. Very professional and the crew did a great job! Would reco them to everyone!!! They cleaned up all of the mess!

This was the first time we used Shadywood tree service. All the people I dealt with were very professional and knowledgable. They did what they said they would do. It was a pleasant experience doing business with them. I will hire them again for my next tree service project.

Scheduling with Shadywood Tree Experts was easy. They provided me with a 4-hour time window (offered morning or afternoon hours). Steve, the arborist, was running ahead of schedule and called me to see if he could come before noon. It didn't work out for me to be home early and he was extremely understanding and professional about it. I didn't feel pressured to be home outside of that scheduled time window. When Steve came, he was very informative. He took time to explain concerns about how our Linden tree was originally planted and even dug into the dirt with his hands to show me issues with the root system. He then assessed the health and location of our two other trees. He recommended that though our trees were younger and looked good now, two of them would need to be moved in order to prevent spacing issues 5-10 years down the road. He educated me on the amount of watering needed for our new landscaping. He even took time to go into our backyard and recommend placement for transplanting our existing trees. I was very impressed with the time that he spent giving me information and tips for our entire yard. He mentioned that Shadywood Tree Experts does not do landscaping (such as transplanting young trees) but would forward my information to a company that they work with and that they would be in touch. Sean and his team did an excellent job trimming the trees in my yard. The cost was very reasonable compared with my other quotes and they did very good work. I would definitely recommend Shadywood.

They were prompt and they have all kinds of equipment. I have walk-out and it was big tree and they have a big boom to take the tree out. It's a good company. I had them once last year and I had a bid from at least one other company before and they are not as expensive as the other one. They did more work than the other one would have done. He came over here on Sunday.

Steve was the arborist who stopped out. He was very knowledgable about the wooded property I own and gave me a few tips in general. He was on time and called ahead to let me know he was on the way. I'm planning to have them do the work once my trees are dormant. Due to all the debris the trees leave on the roof I wish I would have called them earlier!

They did a really good job. They were polite, professional, friendly and quick. Despite the weather, they were able to get out quickly. I would use them again if I were able.

I asked for an estimate on my apple and crab apple trees and to let me know if my oak tree needed any trimming. They assured me that the oak tree was ok. So they trimmed both the apple and the crab apple. This was done when the snow was still deep in the yard, so they were not able to pick up all the branches that dropped. They came back when the snow was gone and did a good job of picking up the rest of the wood.

They came in during the winter and cleared away the snow with a bobcat to access the areas for branch removal. The equipment was then driven in. It was so impressive to watch. There was a man in a basket who could maneuver to any tree and professionally and methodically remove very large and smaller branches. On the larger branches they had to rig them with a rope and gently bring them down to the ground. The crew was continually cleaning up and disposing of the debris in their chipper. The owner was so nice and we were impressed with the whole process. Many years ago we received a very large quote to have this work done and his price was less than half of our original estimate. I will use no one else. Thank you for a job well done.

There was a limb that was hanging and I was concerned about what would happen. They took down a tree and did some other work. It was a good experience. They cleaned everything up and I have no complaints. They were very professional people, very good.

Again, Shadywood did not disappoint. Their crew of 4 came in and cut down a fruit tree in less than 15 minutes. My sons usually could do it themselves, but without the proper equipment - wood chipper, etc. - it probably would have taken them 2-3 hours. My property includes an overgrown "woods" which is fenced off from the rest of our yard. Each year, we'd whittle away at the branches from our woods that hung over into the yard. But with all the rain last spring, the growth was too much to tackle - I couldn't even bend over low enough to mow along the fence line. Shadywood to the rescue! They cleared the woods side 2-3 feet from the fence, which included a lot of buckthorn. I won't be whittling for many years - yeah!!!

The actual results won't be seen until this Spring but the tech was very knowledgeable and assured me of positive results.

Brian at Shadywood was great about keeping me in the loop regarding when they planned to show up. It took three re-schedules due to very severe weather (Jan 2014 cold and wind extremes) and he called each time to explain why they couldn't show up and he called the next day with the new scheduled date. In all cases, the reschedules were due to safety because of the -20 something temperatures and wind. The day of the work, the two guys that led the crew were very professional and very pleasant. The were very careful to check / ask about where they planned to position the cranes. The crew was very efficient. About a 1/2 hour after they showed up, the cranes were in-place and within another 15 minutes, they were making cuts and craning pieces to the street. They did a great job.

We had a great experience with Shadywood. They were prompt to quote the work and communicated thoroughly about all aspects of the job. They were very professional to deal with and did a great job. They're prices were very reasonable as well. We will plan to use them in the future.

I was very impressed with their pricing. They met the price of the lowest bidder. Other companies were coming in much higher. I think because of the recent storms, massive amounts of trees were damage, and some of those companies thought the demand allowed them to charge whatever they could get from the poor home owner. Shadywood was very honest with the necessary work and how soon they could get it done. The city gave me 21 days to have the tree removed. Shadywood gave me their bid with about 10 days remaining. The tree was down with 3 days to spare. The workers were very thorough and did a nice job cleaning up the yard.

It was great. I was very pleased with their work. They were prompt and came out within a few days of giving me the bid. The prices were reasonable. I would recommend them to others.

It went exceedingly well. Crew was pleasant, efficient and professional. They did a great job on the trees. We couldn't believe how much they were able to trim. Our neighbors were impressed too. They did a great job of clean up too. They are exactly as advertised.

When we moved into our new house, there were three large stumps in our yard, about 1.5 yards or more in diameter each. We went with Shadywood because of the pricing on both grinding the stumps and hauling the chips away. Right after it was done, we couldn't tell how well it was done because of the remaining chips that were there to fill the stumps. After the winter and summer, we realized, though they ground out the stumps, the immediate roots next to where the stump is still very high to the point where we may have to get it ground again. I didn't expect them to get all the roots, but it would have been nice if they at least removed the entire exposed area, and not just the center where the main stump was. They were very professional about timing, communication, and pricing, but the actual service turned out not to be as good as expected.

Our neighbors have partnered with us to hire Shadywood many times and have been very pleased with their work. This year we called to set up the estimate for our every 2 year trimming. Unfortunately the woman answering the phones was not able set up an estimate time. We were told all estimates are done Monday through Friday and are done by 4. The time window for an estimate is a 4 hour block where we are expected to wait around. We were told an option would be for me to take time off work to get an estimate for our trees trimmed. I work 7:30-5 Monday through Friday and do not have any time off due to a recent family illness. I like Shadywoods work but not enough to 1/2 day off of work. I have not had anyone give me a 4 hour block of time since cell phones became so popular! Fortunately Angie's list has an abundance of options that are able to come at 5 or on Saturdays, plus they gave me a 1 hour window and texted me the time they expected to arrive. We usually spend $800-$1500 every other year.

They provided an estimate within a day of my request and finished the work within a week.. Very easy to work with and great job done!

Brian came out to give me an estimate on the removal of a tree in the front yard and one in the back yard. He explained the options and the process for both, as well as the cost. He was very professional, yet also friendly and easy to talk with as he answered my questions. When I told him I hadn't decided if I wanted the tree in the back removed at the same time while he told me it was my decision he also mentioned the fact that if I was going to have it done eventually it would be less expensive to have it all done at one time and I could save a little money. The crew, maybe 7 or 8 guys, arrived one the scheduled day and went to work. The overall job took them less slightly less than 2 hours. While part of the crew and a picker was used for the tree in front others headed to the back where someone had to climb the tree while others spotted. The guys did an amazing job taking down both trees. They were very well synchronized and worked well as a team. The clean up crew in front even cleaned up the street then headed around to help in back. When all was done it was hard to tell anyone had been there except the trees were down and there was lots more sky. A few days later a different crew came to pull out both stumps. While they did a pretty good job, they were not quite as efficient as the guys that took down the trees. There were shavings and small branches on the front sidewalk and some fairly large pieces of wood chips in the backyard. Every time I turned around my dog had one in her mouth. Also, the shavings on both sides of my fence where the tree in the back (my yard and my neighbor's) was not cleaned up quite as neatly as when the tree was taken down. I believe they could have done a better job.
