Did all the work quickly and left no mess. Price was good, garden remained intact, mess cleaned up well and a satisfying experience.

Shadywood responded quickly to our phone call and came out to give us an estimate. Then they completed the work within the time frame they proposed. The work and clean up were both done very well. The cost was substantially lower than the estimate we got from the previous company we had used for our tree work. We will definitely use Shadywood again.

The crew was extremely professional and got right down to work on this difficult removal. The trees were quite large and were cut down in sections. A large crane was positioned in the driveway to move each section over the roof of our house and into the street. They did a complete job from start to cleaning up.

Shadywood did an excellent job. They were polite, professional, and responsive to all my questions. They showed up on time, removed the trees quickly, and cleaned everything up. They handled some unexpected challenges very well. Due to circumstances beyond their control, they had to modify their plans to remove the tree from the backyard. Despite having to change plans, they were still able to remove it the same day. I was extremely happy with them and would use Shadywood again.

It is very disconcerting to have a heavy tree on your house. Shadywood had a 24 hour answering service and rerouted their equipment to remove the tree before anything else happened. Very efficient and friendly.

This was a simple and quick job, but Shadywood was very responsive, both in doing an estimate and in completing the work.

The estimator arrived promptly and clearly explained his estimate. The work crew was prompt, quick, and very neat. I was very pleased with their cleanup job. When they left, you would not know that a large tree had ever been there.

The estimator, Keith, was pleasant and punctual. We were not here when the tree removal work was done, but neighbors commented on how well choreographed the operation was. One truck left some tire tracks on the grass median in front of a neighbor's yard across the street, (perhaps from backing up) but otherwise things went extremely well. This price was in the lowest third of multiple bids received, but at least $500 more than the lowest offer. Office staff was very helpful.

These guys did a great job! They were thorough, organized and very professional. I was very impressed with the cleanup after the job was done! There were no leftover branches, everything was raked and swept and the trees looked great. I will definitely hire them again the next time I need tree trimming work done.

They did an excellent job. The trimmer in charge of this job is an artist. The cleanup job was very good. There were no problems whatsoever.

Exceptionally good service. The tree was right on the lot line next to a neighbor with a newly sodded lawn. The team was very careful to prevent any large branches from falling on the lawn and possibly causing damage. Very professional and courteous workers. I felt it was a good value for the price, because they could not get access to the tree with a truck, so had to climb and take it down by hand. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Shadywood Tree Experts were a pleasure to work with, from the first phone call to the completed work. They removed a large white pine from my front lawn in mid-May, and ground the stump just today. Everyone I spoke to was very nice and professional. They gave me a detailed estimate of the work to be performed, and even suggested a way I could save money on the job. I am extremely pleased with their work, and I highly recommend them.

I contacted four different companies to bid the work. The bids ranged from about $1450 to over $4000, although the bids were not apple-to-apple comparisons because each company quoted different work. I was very happy with Shadywood's knowledge and advice on what to do so I went with them and added to few more trees to the work. The crew of five worked for 8.5 hours and they were very thorough and cleaned everything up nicely. I have a feeling they wished they bid more for the work based on how long it took and the amount of work performed. Next winter I'll need some more work done and I will call them for the job.

The representative giving the bid was knowledgeable & kind. The office staff answered promptly & was very helpful. The work was done in the time frame quoted. The work was done to our satisfaction. The price was less than the other bid we were given.

Very responsive. Office somewhat disorganized but always called back. Quote was very reasonable compared to 3 other companies. Would consider contacting them again.

Brian Curtis, ISA Certified Arborist, came out to give an estimate on trimming trees (2- one in the front yard & one in the back), the health of a 45-year-old maple, & stump removal (1- backyard). He explained that they charge more for backyard work because of the problem of getting the equipment into the back. He said that stump removal would be $75. They grind the stump below the yard level & leave the wood chips which we could use to fill the hole. I was in agreement with the work that needed to be done, but the cost seemed high so I decided to get more estimates for the job. He took a call on his cell phone during our discussion & answered many of our questions with either a question or long explanation that did not directly answer the question we had. He told us that they would not be able to do the work for at least 4 weeks but called the next day & said they would be in the area today. Did we want them to do the work today? We declined.

I cannot offer more comments other than they answered the phones promptly and called me back promptly when they discovered that they did not service my area. I was also impressed that they recommended another tree service for my work.

The company was very responsive and courteous. Someone came out the next day to give an estimate. The only reason we didn't use them was that the price was the same as another company we already had an established relationship with. The only small complaint I would make was that they were a little too aggressive for my taste in following up afterward. They called several times at both my home and cell phone to try and schedule the work.

The owner, Brian, was knowledgeable and aggressive communicator (on phone). What could have been better? (1) Have estimate done when I was at home. (This didn't happen.) (2) If I received firewood (not possible.) Overall it was a good experience. This was my experience October 2005.

After agreeing for the work to be done and price, THEY CAME THE NEXT DAY and did an excellent, professional job. It took them about six hours - some of the logs had to be hand carried out of difficult terrain. Their clean-up was done quite well - they even raked the snow! It was well worth the investment!

Shadywood did a very good job trimming the tree and picking up branches.

They responded quickly to our phone call and sent an arborist to discuss our situation. They performed as promised in terms of timing, work performed, and fees. We had five workers here between 3 & 4 hours. We selected them based on feedback in Angie's list. The fees seem high, we but did not check out other company's so we don't have anything to gauge these fees against. We received a 10% discount. Quality and timing was the most important to us, and we were extremely pleased. Everyone we dealt with was knowledgeable and courteous.

He gave us an estimate, came out right away, and had low prices. He moved the limbs the same day.

Easy to work with. Responded promptly for estimate and came back later for actual trimming.
