Well done. They had a large bucket for trimming as well as a large wood chipping trailer.

I had three estimates. Shadywood was the lowest. I had a specific list that was covered with each company, so that price comparison would be equal. When the trimmers arrived, they came to our door and asked my wife "what is to be done?" I come home shortly after that and was called out three times and asked how to do certain trimming. When they completed the job, three of the trees that were discussed were not trimmed at all. In addition, two relatively new apple trees that we asked to best trim to bear fruit were not trimmed because they said we wanted them to be trimmed for landscape. Their communication during the job was poor and after the job even poorer. The plusses were that the trimming crew was cordial and professional and they did respond after the trimming when I had concerns. They did ask what they could do which to me seems a bit unprofessional because I had stated the concerns...if they knew what they were, it seems to me to be an easy remedy...take care of them or at least make a response. They should have offered that but didn't. I'm very upset with them but most upset with myself. We had previously used two other tree trimming services which were outstanding (no communication problems with them on more complicated jobs) but had submitted higher bids. This one was not that much less and was certainly not worth the savings since 3 threes weren't even touched. Sorry but never again for these folks. I saw that they had a good rating on Angie's list and went by that. Hopefully, we are the exception. Finally, I have submitted reviews on other work done in various trades, and this is the first one that I rated poor. I note that because I am not one to complain. I'm sure that the company will have a response, but I'm not the bad guy here.

Great. They did a great job. They were able to get my work on their schedule pretty quickly and did quality work.

The got the tree trimmed and chipped up several branches.

They sent an arborist out who looked at the trees and told me yes it's Japanese beetles and that we could have them treat the trees for them. We arborist gave me an estimate and we decided to hire them. Hey second technician and arborist came to apply the treatments and when he saw that the trees were so young and small he reduced the price from the estimate. The problem has since gone away for now I think that I will have them return in the spring so that we can combat the beetle problem together before it begins to destroy my foliage. So yes absolutely we will be hiring them again.

I think they were comprible with price.

Very good People were friendly and very courteous So very pleased how well they worked around the remaining landscaping. Excellent job. They have been here twice now.

Estimator Jessi Ernst arrived on time and estimated work and offered opinion on leaning arborvitae. I wanted to proceed with removal ASAP as we were leaving town and if it fell while gone it would wreck our fence and possibly our neighbors property and/or hurt people. Jessi on the spot called into office to see how quickly they could be out. It was yet a week and we would have left. Did not want worry. Jessi, having been on work crew prior himself, went to his car to get his saw he happened to have, came back and took off the critical branches that could cause damage. I was so grateful and it was nice to do business with someone who showed concern for my situation instead of delegating me to scheduling. Going forward a week or two later the other work was done with precision. The two men who trimmed my crooked hedge evened it out very professionally. They patiently took their time and restored its image! It was a very tough job. All employees were great, including scheduler. Stump removal done following within a reasonable time frame.

First, we called the tree company that we have used in the past. Their schedule was full for 3 days. After checking Angie's List, I called Shadywood. They were very sympathetic to our situation and rearranged schedules to get the service done. The arborist came first and created a proposal for the work. A couple of hours later, the tree workers came and removed the big branch. They did a very thorough job of removal and cleanup. It's a relief to be able to use the driveway again!

They were on time, Honest about what work was needed and what wasn't

It went extremely well, even though the gentlemen who came to do the work showed up more than 30 minutes past their projected time. Hence the "B" under punctuality. We loved the work they did! I am hopeful that the tree will now be much safer on stormy days. Finally, with regard to responsiveness, the front office for Shadywood is very unresponsive beyond scheduling. I got their voicemail all day long: when I called to check on the ETA for the work crew (called several times; may have left a message); and when I called several times to ask when power was going to be restored to my home (didn't leave a message; called Excel Energy instead).

Shadywood Tree Experts exceeded my expectations. I had two previous quotes prior to calling Shadywood (one higher and one lower priced) we decided to go with Shadywood because they were so respectful and showed a genuine concern for our yard, damaged garage, and fallen tree. Tree Removal day went flawlessly. The team arrived ahead of schedule and quickly cleared the piles of debris we'd compiled. They used a crane to remove the fallen Maple and were careful not to cause further damage to the yard or structures. Shadywood efficiently completed the job, cleaned up any mess, and were professional and kind throughout the entire process. We will be calling Shadywood again with any future Tree needs.

Good they were out here last year. They were good. I would use them again.

Initial request was made on Monday. Shadywood responded, telling me that an arborist would be here "tomorrow", i.e. Tuesday to provide my estimates. Nobody showed up, and I've heard nothing from Shadywood since. It's now Thursday, and I've turned to another provider.

I think it went well... they did spray on a rainy day, but they assured me that there was only a 30 minute dry time for the treatment and they were able to complete it. Steve, the arborist, was very helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to go through my yard with me and answer any questions I had.

Person who came did a great job of explaining how to prevent any additional damage to our tree. I guess it was squirrels and nothing serious. Long story short they did a great job of helping us fix the issue and I would definitely suggest Shadywood to others. The arborist also walked around our yard and gave me tips on how to improve the health of the trees/bushes on our property. We have a fairly small yard so this didn't take long but it was greatly appreciated.

We were very impressed with Shadywood Tree Experts from start to finish. The estimate appointment was very professional and inspired confidence to the point where we decided to just hire this company with no further estimates. The crew who came out was extremely competent, cleaned up throughly and responded to our request to remove another branch (even though that tree was done and cleaned up) with no complaint at all. We would definitely hire this company again without hesitation!

Great. The crew showed up even sooner than the estimated timeframe they gave us (they said within 2 weeks, and showed up in the first week). The first crew member arrived, politely introduced himself, and verbally gave us a good idea of how the removal would go. The rest of the crew arrived shortly after, they got to work, worked hard, and were done about an hour later. They checked in with us before they left, also, which was appreciated. Very personable. Also must mention, they did a great job with clean-up when the job was done. Efficient workers.

Impressive! Super professional, quickly responsive to phone calls, kept me in the loop regarding power company/power line disconnection issues - just perfect to work with. They did a surprisingly good clean up considering how much snow there was, and how cold it was. Price was far lower than another estimate I'd gotten. Nice guys who were a pleasure to work with!!!

Beware of the ongoing costs for the scheduled treatments - we thought we signed up for two treatments, (a spring and a fall treatment) however they came out monthly and charged $80 per treatment for one small crabapple tree. Total cost over $400 for one tree and would have exceeded $700 for the season. Highly defensive when confronted with the issue.
