Description of Work: Installed new sash windows for 26 windows. Kit, our sales guy, was great and kept us informed of all changes and timing.

Description of Work: We had our sliding class door replaced. They replaced with a beautiful Marvin French slider. Very tall. They also came back to stain. Excellent job from sales to finishing. We love our door- it is beautiful and extremely high quality. Service was great, everything went well.

Description of Work: Installed three replacement sashes. The hiccup was dropped communication between the painters and Scherer brothers. This resulted in a 6-8 week delay because the sashes arrived unfinished.

Description of Work: Installed two new construction windows in the space occupied by two original ones. The pace for each was approx. 6' W x 5' high, on a second story bedroom, so not easy to get at and requiring extra work to tear the opening down to the original size. | |We specifically did not want to have the "replacement windows" look, with acres of moldings intruding into the glass space. They did a great job of accurately measuring, tearing out the old, and completing the installation in the time on and on the dates quoted. | |I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or to use them again. And special kudos to Kip, our excellent sales rep.

This was done in 3 projects / stages, each of which I went back to Scherer to complete. |My rep from Scherer came up with ways to reduce and manage the cost (windows are expensive). Not only was the cost reduced but the solution is better than my original window configuration. |Each time everything went exactly as planned. I am still delighted with my new windows and the service they performed. Scherer is a company I would go back to without question if I ever have the need again.

Description of Work: We had 8 new Marvin Integrity windows installed in the upstairs of our 1930 home. |Chris Judd was a pleasant & experienced sales consultant. Kevin and his crew did a fabulous job with installation,both inside and out. They took the time to match the home's wood inside trim and careful detailing to fit our outside siding. We are very happy with the project.

Description of Work: On 8-6-14, I had Gary Bettinger from Marvin Windows measure my windows and give me a quote for replacement. Gary answered any questions I had and helped me select the type of window I was looking for, along with the trim to match my current steel siding. On the day of install, the installers were there promptly to begin work. Tarp was laid on the carpeting, furniture covered, etc. No mess during or after the install. I had 5 windows removed and replaced with Marvin Ultimate Casement windows/screens/removable grilles. |Scherer Window & Door Consultants did an excellent job. I may have been able to get cheaper windows elsewhere, but definitely not of this quality. |I am very pleased with the results and would definitely use them again, and also recommend Scherer Window & Door Consultants to friends.

Description of Work: I had 1 window replaced in my garage. They called days before they were coming out to make sure it was a good time for me. They came and installed the window quickly. The quality of the window and the installation is good. Because it was only 1 window I did not get a discount. I would have them out again to do window work.

Description of Work: Replaced back door and storm door. |The installation went fine, but the storm door wasn't installed correctly and the weather stripping had to be replaced twice because it would get caught on the threshold and tear. They were responsive to fixing the issue.

Description of Work: The window was 3" too long. They wouldn't reorder the window. They cut off part of the window to make it fit the current opening. According to Marvin windows, they do not have any method of installing the window by cutting it down. Then a few days later, they "came up with a way." Will see how it is come winter. Hopefully will hold up. My City Engineers were even concerned, as they didn't follow the rules of installation, and they'd NEVER heard of installing a window that was too big. The installers did not call in the inspectors to see it framed in. The City Inspector was shocked to say the least. So much for an Angie's "A" list.

Description of Work: They replaced our kitchen and basement windows in a timely manner. It was late fall and cold so replacing them quickly was a must and they did it. Our full basement windows were not easy because it had to be done working in a window well. They obviously had done this many times before because it went like clockwork. I was very impressed and would recommend them,
