Our experience was awesome! We love the windows, they were all ordered and sized correctly and appreciate Chris J recommendation to go with an awning window above our kitchen sink. It is fantastic! Also Jamie did a great job setting up and revising scheduling due to Covid delays and then keeping the installer in the loop. Kevin’s team with Laramax was great once again on the install! We hopefully will be completed today with W&S on staining and polyurethane. Everything looks super. Thanks. Mike and Rose Umland

Working with Dave and Petra at Scherer Window & Door was a fantastic experience. They brought in a fantastic team for the install. The installers were on time, worked hard all day, very respectful of the house. They also cleaned the windows surrounding each night. The lead (Nate @MDS) provided a lot of good feedback and advises when he noticed something he would have done differently than we had asked for. This lead to a very fantastic experience. The only small detail I missed from the estimate was that the staining/paint part of estimate was only a recommendation (with an estimate) and they did not manage that part of the process.

Scherer Brothers Window &Door Consultants Earlier this year we had an opportunity to work staff from Scherer Brothers Window & Door Consultants to replace two exterior doors in the back of our Cape Cod house. After reviewing offerings from multiple companies we chose Scherer Brothers in part because of recommendations from others but also their reputation. We were not disappointed. We found their sales and scheduling staff to be very professional, courteous and understanding of our needs. Installation of the doors in early May went very well. They were delivered on time and installed as anticipated. The fellow who did the installation did a great job. We would certainly recommend Schere Brothers Window & Door Consultants to our neighbors.

Our home was built in 1949, and as the second owner, we have not done a lot. Windows were first up for replacement, and Scherer Bros did an outstanding job. They are all double-hung, and we wanted to preserve the period look and restore true double-hung functionality; Scherer's recommendation to go with Marvin Ultimate Signature windows was just perfect. The installation team found some dry-rot on the north side of the house, and handled everything with grace, intentionality, and efficiency. Truly great work.

The staff was very personable and knowledgeable. They gave honest feedback about what would look and work best for our home and did not try to up-sell us. Tracy invited us to the warehouse to actually see and feel the products and colors in person. He gave excellent design advice. The installation staff was prompt, clean and professional.

This is our second time to use Scherer Bros for windows. For our first project, we wanted to have Marvin Windows due to their commitment to their workers in keeping them employed through the slow times ten years ago. As a result, we found Scherer Bros. When we decided to replace a few more windows, there was never a decision. It was going to be Marvin and Scherer Bros. In both cases, the product is exceptional. I would not consider other windows. And, the service provided by Scherer Bros, both in providing options in the beginning and installation, have been great. They have great communication, always making us aware of the timeline and other things we need to know. We are not done replacing all of our windows, but when we decide to do a few more, Scherer Bros will be the only call we make.

The company is amazing to work with. They are punctual, professional and very friendly. The installers are very competent, quick and clean up the sight beautifully. I LOVE our new windows and highly recommended this company to instal your Marvin Windows

I called to ask about a new door and the first thing the person said was "we have a $2,500 minimum"... you don't even know why i'm calling. i'm going somewhere else. i recommend everyone do the same.

Our project couldn’t have gone better! What a GREAT team we were blessed to get! Upon tearing out the first window, we found a lot of water damage. These guys tackled the job, taking care to keep my house as clean as they could. Everyday after they left, no mess was left behind. They were professional and friendly! Really a joy to have them around, which was good because my project needed extra time to fix rot from the water damage! From Jim our friendly salesman, to Kevin our awesome contractor and especially the very skilled Cory and Andrew, who worked so hard and made everything look beautiful, we couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with. Not only would I hire them again in a heartbeat, I would recommend them to anyone who appreciates quality craftsmanship and professionalism.

From the first step of contacting Sherer for an estimate I was very impressed. Tracy was amazing and the process when fast and painless. I had a quote within hours of him visiting our home. I contacted him and set up a time to see the product at the showroom and signed a contract. Within one day I was contacted for scheduling and this process started just before Thanksgiving. I anticipated a February installation due to holiday schedules and was very suprised to be scheduled the first week in January. The installation was completed yesterday and the new product is amazing. The installation crew was awesome. So considerate and caring. I am so impressed with the entire project

Outstanding! I am so pleased with the completed project. I was impressed by the professionalism of all the crafts people. The customer service from the first call for a bid, to follow up questions, to delivery of product, to day of install, were consistently excellent. It is a major purchase and it can create anxiety, but with Scherer, all my worries evaporated. I recommend Scherer Window and Door consultants highly.

We had 4 large windows installed in one day. Although they were a little more expensive than others, we are glad we chose them. Everyone from the sales rep to the install crew were great to work with. The crews attention to detail was outstanding. All were knowledgeable, answered any questions we had and made sure we were pleased with the work before they left. I would most definitely recommend them.

My experience with Scherer Window & Door Consultants has gone so well that I have worked with them for consecutive years to replace the 30 year old windows and doors throughout my house. Sales consultation is knowledgeable and insightful, running several quotes and configurations to find the right balance of price, style and window fabrication, even identifying, proactively, that I would likely need wall repair during installation due to rot. The wall was repaired without surprises or installation interruption. Installation scheduling runs smoothly and predictably between Scherer staff and skilled installation partners. Finishing/painting referrals are vetted and qualified. The customer service I've received before, during and after installation insures an excellent experience. I will buy and install with Scherer Window & Door Consultants in the years to come! I trust their expertise, and they have earned my business.

Doug was the representative from Scherer Bros. who arrived to do the finish work on my two sliding glass patio doors and the storm door for the front entrance. He arrived on time and could not have been more polite and professional. He went over the project with me, and also pointed out some things for me to consider before he started the work. He was thorough, cleaned up afterwards, and went about his work right away. In every way he was professional and definitely one of the best installers and construction guy I've ever worked with. It was a pleasure to have him in the house doing the work, and I am completely satisfied.

Windows from Marvin look great. I had them stained, and they look nearly identical to the prior windows, and are very attractive. The wood installer for trim did an awesome job. The inside view of the windows looks awesome. Mud work and painting was required afterwards with the new trim, but that was expected. Minor punch list was worked through in about a month, for broken lock and a seal, not too bad except two remain issues. I had hail damage the day before the window install, with siding damage. The installers dripped spray foam installation in several areas in the siding (that will not come off). The caulking job around the windows was very poorly done. Even the rework of the caulking looks horrific. Scherer Brothers stance is that I need to work with the contractor for resolution, and has absolved themselves from any responsibility for the shoddy workmanship. The contractor's stance is that I will eventually get the insurance company to replace the siding due to hail damage, so there is no resolution needed. He offered me $200 cash to make the problem go away. When I stated that I don't want the $200, he offered to replace one small area of siding. It's been over 2 months since install, and we are at a dead end to repair their damage. Scherer brothers is only interested in final payment. Rereading their contract, it states that they are not responsible for damage to siding.

The gang from Scherer Bros was fantastic. Sales, install, follow up have all been excellent. I used them several years ago and when the need came up again, I called them and no one else. You don’t mess with a good thing,

Our original Marvin windows (made here in Minnesota) lasted more than 20 years and so I wanted to replace them with the same brand. Scherer Window & Door Consultants was offering a State Fair Special on Marvin Windows which caught my interest and so I called them. I am so glad I did! From the initial estimate (no charge and very thorough), to the care and craftsmanship during the installation and the way they left my home spotless afterwards, they made the process easy and a pleasure. They replaced some windows and enlarged others; everything was done to the highest standards. I can not think of one suggestion of how they could have made things better. They have my highest recommendation. I would use them again in a heartbeat and have recommended their work to my family, neighbors and friends.
