Description of Work: We have been waiting for over a month before our washing machine to be repaired. It will be almost a month and a half until our machine is fixed when all is done, it would have been longer if I don’t step in and figure out the reason for a delay. This was due to a service on an LG unit and LG hired D&T as a their local repair company. After LG awarded the work it took D&T over a week to schedule an appointment, which then took another few days to happen, all in it was 11 days from initial contact with LG to the D&T tech entered our home, the whole time without a clothes washer. The issue was exactly as I described it on the service call and the technician was in the home for all of 15 minutes before leaving with what was supposed to be correct parts ordered for the repair. We were told that they would let us know when they got an ETA on the parts arrival. Another week passed without any communication from D&T. We finally had to call called them and then D&T earliest appointment was two weeks later without a chance to schedule something sooner, so over 4 weeks without a washer . We had no choice but to wait. D&T wait there’s more, didn’t fail to disappoint, we were called the day before the appointment and told that the needed parts had not arrived and they will call us to reschedule once the parts do arrive, seems like the same situation was about to repeat another delay and another long time out for a repair visit (we were washing cloths in a bathtub at this point). I asked “what’s the ETA?” and was told that there was no estimate, they didn’t know. So, I directly called LG and after about 30-45 minute I was able to determine that D&T was attempting to order a discontinued part that will never be available, but there was an approved replacement part that is in stock. So, I called back D&T and gave them the correct part to order, basically fixing the problem, which got the part on order. Sadly, D&T then turned around and told me that we needed to another eight days to get the repair technician scheduled, three more days than the parts will take to arrive. So all, start to finish, it took over 6 weeks for the repair and would have taken longer if I didn’t directly get involved and call LG doing the work that should have been done by D&T. So, DO NOT use D&T unless you’re able to figure out the repair like an appliance technician, because they are not able to get it done. Oh, forgot to mention that my wife is a front line medical worker who is eight months pregnant so we can’t go to laundromat to protect her patients and the desire to protect from COVID. So, we have been washing our clothes in a bathtub the best we can, I can provide photos if needed. If there was any way not to use D&T we would have taken it, this is without a doubt the worst homeowner experience we have had, would not recommend to anyone.

Description of Work: Needed the freezer motor replaced. Bid was accurate, although not cheap. They were able to come back when discussed and do the work. On time, polite, responsive.

Description of Work: It was a warranty call on my dishwasher. Joe was very quick, personable, and helpful.

Description of Work: Service person was unfamiliar with my brand of dishwasher and it took him way too long to diagnose the problem and order the parts. Once they had the parts, the installation took a reasonable amount of time.
