D & T Appliance Service Co

My refrigerator/freezer was suddenly not working, all the ice melted and the fridge did not get cold. I called after finding this company on Angie's List. Even though it is so close to the holidays' they were able to see me the next day. They found I had a bad relay, and that I must have a small leak. I will eventually have to replace it- but they have given me a enough time so that I am not rushed into buying a new fridge. I was hoping to renovate the kitchen in six month or so, I didn't want to have to get a new one when I'm not ready.

It went well. The serviceman was punctual, efficient, laid out all the options, charged what he said he would, and the dryer now works fine.

D&T Appliance Service was AMAZING! Their technician came when they said he would and did an incredible job. We discussed the problems and he went to work. He actually cleaned the inside of the outer glass pane before installing the inner pane. When he was done, the oven door actually open and shut better than when it was originally installed! Next, he went to work on the dishwasher and properly leveled it. When he was done, it opened and shut better than it did when it was originally installed! I had suspected when it was first installed that something wasn't "quite right," but didn't know until D&T fixed it, just how bad the original installation was! For the first time in 9 years the dish racks didn't slide forward when I opened the door. For the first time in 9 years, I didn't have to push on the door to close it. For the first time in 9 years, the door latch "clicked" when I shut the door. My only regret is that D&T didn't do the original installation. D&T is awesome!!! KUDOS!

The repairman took the machine apart; showed me WHY it was not worth repairing. He also answered my questions as to what washer he would purchase, and (BONUS) how to install the new washer. Very nice experience!

They were very professional and prompt and we would use again.

The repair went smoothly. My two complaints are that they told me that the new ice maker would be installed in about five days, they told my husband 10 days and it actually turned out to be 14 days. They also never called with an estimate in advance (although we still would have had the repair done). We did use their coupon in Angie's magazine which saved us nearly $32.

I found another company that completed the repair, including ordering the part, in 2 days. I found D&T to be incredibly unresponsive and unhelpful. In my experience, same day or next day service is the industry standard in large appliance repair. D&T wasn't even close to measuring up.

Anton was the service person, a nice young man, but I think pretty new at the job. He called the company several times to ask questions, but got the answers he needed and completed the job. The refrigerator. works fine! This company could come the day I called which was really convenient for me. Anton was a little disorganized, but I'm sure he'll get more organized as he gains experience. I gave a B on professionalism, but only because Anton needs more experience. He was thorough and found what needed fixing. The company has a good worker in Anton.

It went good. I am a hands off landlord and really just want to make a phone call to get it going, then for them to call me with an estimate, finally call again when it's fixed. They called me a few more times than that, but that's good for most customers. I gave my credit card when I called in initially but they called back to get payment when it was all over. It seemed expensive to me, however I didn't call anyone else. It was close to just replacing it in $$, but I chose to repair.

Incredibly excellent service and easy to work with. Would definitely call again. Replaced dryer fuse and overall very helpful, giving good advice on how to avoid same repair in the future.

Dwane not only fixed the problem but took steps to try to make sure it did not happen again. He thoroughly explained the problem to me and also the fix.

At my request he checked on the cost of a new control panel. Because of the cost of the part and the age of the oven, I determined that I would replace the oven and not repair it.

Dan came out to fix my refrigerator. He did an excellent job finding the problem, my fan motor. I was impressed. He quoted me a price of $180 which I thought was ok. He got a new motor from his fan and twenty minutes later he was done. He charged me $30 for the motor and $148 for the labor. From when he entered to when he left was 40 minutes.

Tom was super nice and correct in his guess of what was wrong with my freezer based on what I described over the phone.

Our old Kenmore washing machine stopped draining and spinning leaving us with a pile of soggy, half-washed towels. We called D&T on Sunday evening and received a returned call first thing Monday morning. Chris was able to come out Tuesday morning. He called to give us a two hour window (between 11a and 1p) when he would arrive. Got to us right at 11a. He was fast, efficient, and very polite. And now we have a washing machine that works like it's supposed to. Thankfully!

The cause of the water leakage problems were diagnosed. The technician was very knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Scheduling is the only issue. D&T requires that you commit a full day do their service visit. You then get a call about 8 AM from the technician telling you when they will arrive during the day, in a two hour window.

Dishwasher went out on Christmas Eve. Called on Tuesday, Dec. 26th Because of the holidays the first available appt. was on Tues., Jan. 2, 2007. They called by 8:15 a.m. the morning of 1/2/07 and said they would be out between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. They showed up at 2:01 p.m. The technician was professional and knowledgeable. Although he did not have the right part on his truck, he called his company and they sent out someone with the part. It only took about 15 minutes to arrive. The part was installed in a matter of about 10 to 15 minutes. The technician was very respectful of my house and my time. He cleaned up when he was finished.

Tom the service technician was friendly and courteous. He even arrived a few minutes early for the initial evaluation appointment and was on-time for the follow-up repair. Service call was $107 (including Angie's List discount) for evaluation of both dishwasher and dryer ($80 and $40 respectively before the discount they didn't mention this on the phone, but the additional appliance is $40 to be evaluated rather than the normal $80 for the initial service call). Follow-up repair for the dishwasher was $216 including parts and labor. Initial service call was on a Tuesday, follow-up repair was on Friday of the same week. Might not have been quite as quick on the follow-up repair, but we did request that it be done that week if at all possible.

Excellent. Arrived on time and waited as I was a few minutes late. Yeah.

Went well, pleasant company to work with. They had to order the part, so I had to handwash for a week, but no big deal, only 2 people here.

They called before they came. The new part was ordered and installed in a timely manner.

D & T handled our servicing problem on time, courteously and went out of their way to give us a credit for the lost food. They seemed like they were trying hard to make the customer happy, and I am. I am a customer for life.

I think it is completely unreasonable to charge $424 for what the company concedes is only an hour and a half of labor + an ounce of refrigerant. This is my first ever complaint of a service provider on Angie's List.

Pleasant helpful service person and person on the phone. Responsive and scheduled quickly. Highly recommended.

D & T WAS VERY EASY TO DEAL WITH. EASY TO GET A HOLD OF ON THE PHONE AND VERY RESPONSIVE. THE GUY THAT CAME TO THE HOUSE WAS EFFICIENT AND POLITE. WE WOULD DEFINITELY CALL D & T AGAIN.
