Description of Work: Our computer wouldn't turn on. It was New Year's Eve Day. We called the Computer House. They were open, looked at the computer and fixed it the same day. The computer needed a new power supply - cost was $93.00. He gave us great information before fixing the computer. Also gave us great information on the computer itself. It is an older computer. We learned about pros, cons, worth it or not to upgrade etc. We would definitely go back to the Computer House. Have recommended it to family and friends.

Description of Work: I brought in a laptop that would no longer boot up. It had a broken fan. Since it was an older computer I decided not to spend any more money on it and bought a new (used) laptop. Bruce was fantastic explaining our options and transferring files from the old machine to the new. Computer House is my go to place for all things computer related!

Usually I handle all his computer issues, so I was shocked when he took it there and was worried they would charge him an arm and a leg for repairs. They reinstalled Windows 8.1 and all his software for a very reasonable price especially considering how much time they worked on it. I will be bringing my computers there when I don't have time to work on them myself. Very impressed with Desiree and her knowledge of computers

+ -1 moreBruce is hard to describe. How anyone in a small business can be as persistent, honest, thorough, reasonably priced, and pleasant all at the same time is a pretty tall order. Oh yea, and he can repair computers too!! After 3 trips to the store with my ailing laptop that had an intermittent screen problem, he was finally able to replicate it in-store. Talk about patience and persistence. When he did find the source of the problem, replaced just the screen and nothing else. He could have easily replaced more parts and I would have paid more money, but that in a nutshell is why I am writing this review. Did what needed to be done, nothing more,nothing less. What a pleasure to do business with. Even showed me the old screen and explained where the issue was. Total time including ordering the part: one week. I know where I am headed when/if my home laptop goes belly up on me. Straight to Bruce at The Computer House...

Description of Work: Determine cause of non-functioning computer; replace hard drive, update all drivers and major software and installed anti-virus software. It was a very good experience dealing with the folks at Computer House. They were friendly, tech savvy and reasonably priced. They finished the work when they said they would and charged right at their estimate for the services rendered.

Description of Work: I was having multiple issues loading Windows 8.1 to my PC. I found the individual at Computer House to be professional and friendly. They also had issues getting to the source of the problem but was able to find the solution. I feel it was a bargain after an attempt to get Best Buy to help.

+ -1 moreWhen I had no ability to use MS Word, a reoccurring issue, I had contacted another, larger company and never heard back from them. As a result, I then contacted Computer House as I had seen good reviews on Yahoo. I dropped off my computer at Computer House midday on a Friday and was able to pick it up the following Monday. I received a total clean-up of my computer and reinstallation of MSOffice and anti-virus software. My computer is so much faster and all my programs are working as they should be working. This was a very painless and easy experience for me. Bruce is super knowledgeable. I will be taking my computer to Computer House annually.
Description of Work: Bruce reinstalled my MSOffice software, eliminated error messages, reinstalled my anti-virus software, and conducted an overall computer tuneup.
