MERIT HOME REPAIR

I just spent my third vacation day waiting for Merit Home Repair to honor their appointment to fix my dishwasher. They were assigned to me by a home warranty company. Each time they were scheduled, there was either a last minute cancellation or (in the case of today's appointment) they just never showed up. I have since contacted the home warranty company to have my repair assigned to another provider.

Our pool heater was out of commission for nearly the entire Summer waiting for the proper repair. The company was assigned by our home warranty company and the $55 is the service fee set by the warranty company. The first time he came out, he got the heater working, but after he turned left, I turned it off and it didn't start up again. Several days later he came out again and tried replacing a different part, but that didn't work. A new part had to be ordered. It took a week to get the part in, but the wrong part was received, so they had to order it again. Another long wait and when it came in they couldn't get us on the schedule for several days. When the part was replaced, the heater worked for less than two weeks and then stopped working again. Again, a long wait to get on the technician to come out again. The same part had to be replaced, so another wait for the part to come in, and then a wait to get on the service schedule. During this whole ordeal, they missed two service appointments. Just never showed up.
