 + -1 moreThe work was fabulous. Gordy is so meticulous. They've done som fabulous decks and remodels in my area so I had a lot of confidence they'd be great.
Description of Work: I had my deck floor, walls, window trim and railing painted.

Description of Work: Did extensive whole house remodel with this firm. They had successfully completed a nice remodel + deck project at a friends house. Contractor ran into cash flow problems while working multiple projects that summer and one monthly payment did not make intended subcontractors (believed to have been used on a different project). At that point I started paying subcontractors directly in exchange for lien waivers. City officials signed off on all permits that fall. Like many contractors in Twin Cities - cash flows are a challenge in this economy. Contractor did a follow up project with my friend but but I understand did not have satisfactory results (issues with a tile subcontractor). Quality of work was very good... I think for decks, etc. they are very qualified...

 + 0 morePaul sets up a time to meet and review the project, he then goes and prepares his estimate and calls with any questions or concerns about the direction of the project. After completion of the bid he returns and sits down and goes over all the costs in detail. He will give you ideas as to where you can save some money by utilizing different materials or different designs. Once an agreement is made he has a contract you sign and he gets his money down and then goes off to set the schedule for the work. Once started, there is project manager who is on site to deal with day to day issues and resolve any questions or concerns you have. Paul does a majority of the carpentry himself along with 1 or two other people which seems to guarantee a job well done. He has been very approachable when we have had questions about the process.
Description of Work: Over the course of the last few years we have used Final Touch for different projects. Paul was our site supervisor when we built our house and shortly after that he started Final Touch Construction. When we were ready to finish our basement we called him and his bid was the most complete and had the best pricing of the 5 bids we received. Their work was fantastic, the communication was ongoing, they were neat and clean and our basement turned out great. We then utilized them again to do our deck. We did a maintenance free deck that Paul designed to incorporate a hot tub and it is one of our favorite things now about our house. Even though the weather didn't cooperate, they came and completed the deck and installed the hot tub and when we returned from vacation we had a new space that was perfect for our family. Currently we are renovating a home which was a foreclosure and a huge mess and Final Touch has made the process easier to deal with. There is a lot to consider when doing a complete remodel and the project outline has been fairly complete, there were some unknowns going into it but the budgeting process took that into account and things have continued to move along. The subs utilized have been clean cut and reliable and we haven't had any problems with them. We are now getting close to the end of the project and it appears we will be on time and on budget which was a huge priority for my husband and I.
