Called Eggert's Door Systems based on a friend referral and the said they were in the neighborhood and showed up within 15 minutes (WHAT, who does that now-a-days). Diagnosed as a bad circuit board in an old opener. Would have cost over $100.00 dollars and I decided it wouldn't be worth it. Gave me an estimate for a new ultra quiet opener (Linear) and said they would be back the next day to replace it. Next day the owner and his son showed up and had the install complete in about an hour. Fantastic work, on time, on budget. Offered to replace the steel rail wheels with fiber wheels to further quiet the door. Took them up on the offer. The combination opener with the fiber wheels is unbelievably quiet! You can't even here the door, just the quiet hum of the motor. I couldn't have imagined a garage door could be that quiet! Highly recommended!

Extremely well. Would not use anyone else again.
Description of Work: Replaced the garage door opener that was 30 years old. Very efficient and polite. Removed all debris from old opener. Put in new keypad inside garage and went over how it worked. My old opener was not legal it did not have the motion detectors. He installed those too. Works great.

Awesome experience. I am the type of guy that likes to call around and get estimates before jumping in because I don't like to be played. I called one company from a coupon I received in a mailer that seemed to be phone bank or something because it sounded like a call center in the background. The guy wouldn't give me any kind of estimate (not even a ballpark one) but guaranteed he's the lowest. He left me with a bad taste in my mouth due to the slimy sales pitches he was giving me. It apparently when you look at all of the coupons in the mailers, they all have GDS (Garage Door Services) logo on them so they appear to look like different companies but they're not. I don't know if it is a scam or not, so I stayed away from all of the GDS listed companies. I decided to find a truly local company. I found one that said they were from my hometown and he came out to give an estimate and wasn't from my town. He was called in by a different guy to replace my springs, not to just give an estimate. I said I only needed an estimate for now. His estimate, with a waived service charge, was going to be around $280. Similar to what one of my friends paid recently to get his replaced. I still wanted to get a least one other estimate before proceeding. I ended up getting a referral from a neighbor that recently had her springs replaced. Thank goodness. She had used Eggert's Door Systems recently and had a good experience and was happy to pass on their number. What a great experience! They came this morning after talking to the owner last night. He told me on the phone it would be a max of $168 (wonderful news) and it actually came out to $148! In discussing with them this morning, the company is going on at least its third generation of family running it. True and honest people running it, not trying to take advantage of those in desperate need of repair. Very fair pricing. Very highly recommended. They even gave me maintenance items to do to prolong the need for them to come out in the future. That is customer service to the max. I decided that since I couldn't find much information about them on the web (the owner is fairly 'mature') that I would do a little on my part to spread the news of this solid company, hence this review on Angie's List (they weren't listed prior to this review.) I am in no way, shape, or form affiliated with Eggert's. I am just an extremely satisfied customer that doesn't feel taken advantage of! Give them your business and you won't regret it.
