Service was wonderful. I think they had a concern about cost for me. They were just very polite and worked hard; got the job done quickly.
Description of Work: They ended up fixing my floor and having to put in a new patio door. I had some dry rot from the patio door, it had gone through the subfloor and they fixed that. They fixed the subfloor and installed the new patio door. I think they re-framed the new patio door. They put new trim up around the door on the interior.

The new roof project went well and I would recommend this company to a friend without hesitation. I had been saving up to get the roof replaced for a long time and had anxiety about the purchase and whether it would be done correctly. I have friends who have had poor jobs done on their roofs in the past with other companies. I knew I couldn't afford to invest this kind of money in buying a new roof only to have the job done badly and need to be corrected in the future. The Angies List deal I purchased helped with the price factor and also gave me confidence that the job would be done well, as I spoke with a customer service representative who explained the gaurantees behind the deal to me. That helped me move forward with the purchase. Once I made the purchase, I appreciated the communication and rapport with the company representative /owner. He was transparent and trustworthy before, during and after the job, I felt confident about him and the job that was done. He even went above and beyond by helping me give the needed proof & information to my home insurance company after the job was complete, which lead to a significantly reduced monthly insurance rate. I was excited that this company could do the house roof, all new wood planking under the house roof and the garage at a price I was able to handle. The workers were professional and the job only took one day. It's been a few months now and the roof looks great. It's a relief to no longer have to worry about my house getting water damage. I appreciated that the owner of the company gave me "during" pictures so that I didn't have anything to worry about regarding the quality of the construction. I was able to see the condition of the planking already on the house as well as the complete coverage with new wood planking. I felt good about this major purchase the entire way through the process, which was quite an accomplishment since I had been putting it off for years.

The guys did a wonderful job! They were very efficient, helped us move furniture from the old deck, picked up and cleaned up all waste wood and other materials each day. They promised to be done on Friday and actually completed the job on Wednesday so we could enjoy it 2 days early. They also put the furniture back on the deck for us. I would recommend them to anyone who needs outdoor construction of any kind!

Aim High Construction is Honesty, Integrity, Superb Quality, Customer Focused Workmanship, and Fair Pricing. When we first contacted Aim High Construction through Angie’s List in mid 2015 it was to have our roof inspected . . . Eric (co-owner of Aim High) came out at the agreed time and did a thorough inspection of the roof which didn’t need any work or repairs. Further discussions with Eric led us to hire Aim High to replace our front concrete stoop, which was sinking in the front, and build a deck/screened porch in the back. Both projects were major undertakings to us and we wanted both projects to be basically maintenance free structures . . . also, we wanted some extra support structure in the back since this was a second level structure and we didn’t want to just meet minimum standards. Through the whole project Eric worked with us to meet every one of our concerns, including something so minor as changing the screws on the lower part of the aluminum railing which I felt were too short to provide adequate support. Basically Eric and a superb craftsman named Keith did almost all of the work on our two projects and we couldn’t of found anybody better no matter how long we would of looked. On the final inspection the city inspector’s only written comment was “NICE JOB !”. With their quality of work and their concern for working with the customer to meet the customers every expectation, I don’t know why I would ever call a different contractor in the future . . . and we would (and have) highly recommended Aim High Construction to family, friends, and anybody who asks about hiring a construction company. Thanks Eric and Keith for the superb job !!
Description of Work: Removed concrete stoop at the front of house (which was sinking in the front and pulling the support beam over with it) and built a maintenance free deck with aluminum railing - the original builder did a very poor job in the front and it was causing some structure issues. Aim High also built a screened porch with attached deck in the back which is virtually maintenance free because of the material they used.

Aim High Construction provided a very thorough roof inspection, temporary repairs, and recommendations. I was very impressed that, in addition to a detailed written report, they provided many pictures of problem areas to illustrate some of the problems they outlined. The report also contained information about a class-action lawsuit against the manufacturer of the shingles, stating I might be eligible for some compensation. I would highly recommend this company.

They sent me an email of the things they found including some photos of troubled areas. He didn't say they had to be done as soon as possible. He actually did each one of those things that he thought needed fixing. I thought that was very valuable but I haven't done anything about the repairs yet. There were a few problems about the siding. They thought the panel came loose at the upper back corner of the house. There was a little hole because some little animal had been digging, so they are going to dig a trench and install it. I poured some dirt and rocks in there. He said that during the course of the repairs if he encountered any unexpected situations I would need to give him permission so they would have the ability to complete the job. I have not yet have them do any of those things. I just want to get an idea what kind of shape my house is in.
Description of Work: Aim High Construction inspected the roof and the attic. He said overall the roof is in good condition. They did the gutters, the chimney, and the siding.

AIM High did a fantastic job installing a new roof on my garage. The price was fair and reasonable, and the final price was right to the estimate. All calls and questions were answered promptly. The work was completed to schedule. The company cleaned up all the construction debris. I will use them when I remodel my kitchen.

They did very good work. They did not do it with urgency, I had to wait several months to get them to come out to my home. I think they were fairly priced, but I would have been preferred to have been told up front that the deal I purchased did not cover staining the underside of my deck. The top half looks wonderful, but the bottom half looks old and needs updating. I would have been happy to pay to have the underside done, I just needed to be told that would be an additional cost.

I figured they'd have it done in two days because its a simple job, but one of the worker's have had a death in the family & the job is taking a little longer then expected. The company has gone above and beyond to make sure the job is done as quickly as possible. The owner even gave me a gift card for $150 to a nice restaurant because of the inconvenience. I just want to say what a great company this is!!

This service was a result of a Big Deal for a deck restoration which I signed on for several months ago. Due to the large numbers of respondents and uncooperative weather, it took awhile before someone came to do the first step of the process which was powerwashing. During the wait, Chris from Aim Construction kept in touch on a regular basis to let me know timelines. The person who came to do the powerwashing was excellent and did a great job, cleaning off many year's worth of dirt. Again there was a delay in actually having the deck stained but, again, Chris kept in touch. The staining was done when we were out of town and, although the deck spindles looked great, the deck itself had some areas where the stain did not take. I telephoned Chris who immediately indicated that he would send someone out to apply a second coat. The second coat was applied today by a young man who did a super great job and who was, in addition, very polite and professional. Chris has been great to work with. He replies within hours of an e-mail or voicemail and is always friendly and willing to listen. I would definitely use this company again. They are responsive, do high quality work and seem devoted to ensuring that their customers are satisfied.

Not great. Purchased March 13. Received a message from them saying that April and May are the most successful months to seal. Great! We were going to put our house on the market July 1st and on the Pond Tour July 25-26, so it would be completed by then. Should work! Well, it was not completed until July 23rd. After many messages to the company, we finally had someone come on June 25 to power wash. He started and, of course, the power washer died. Promised he would be back the next day (Friday). No one showed up. Sent another message and I received a call back from Chris. I was having a team of people coming Saturday to help me in my gardens. I told Chris that WE would power wash the deck ourselves and he could seal it when dry. By this time, the deck was filthy, mold, little acorns and oak seeds in between the deck boards. I spent EIGHT days cleaning it. Power washing was not enough, it had to be bleached to get it clean. I always power wash the deck early spring to get the dirt off, when I have the power washer out to clean our ponds. I have NEVER had such a hard time cleaning it before when done early in the spring. When I finished and it was dry, a team was sent out to stain the deck. They didn't know they were supposed to REPLACE boards. They did what they could that day and came back the next day to finish the job, and they STAINED IT, NOT SEALED IT. Two days later I realized that three of the boards they replaced did NOT get screwed in. FINALLY all work was completed on July 23rd! I delayed putting our house on the market because of spending 8 days cleaning the deck, that should have been done a long time before, and the deck not being completed. And, Chris was quite rude to me one day! NEVER will I use them again.

The experience in general was about a C/D grade, but the efforts put forth by the owners, Chris and Eric, was an A+, which is why we gave it an overall B grade. Upon purchasing the offer, we were contacted right away, and very soon after, someone was out here to look at the deck, give an estimate, and explain the process going forward. That went very well, and the sale rep was wonderful--very friendly and conversational, and professional. We were told that we'd get a phone call in April to set scheduling, and that the deck would be power washed, loose boards would be nailed down, and then the painting would occur. On 4/16, I emailed the sales rep just to touch base, and he responded the same day saying he'd contact me again soon and that everything would be done by early May. Weeks went by with no contact from Aim High. On 5/16, we left a voicemail for our rep. No response. On 5/20, I emailed him the following: "I'm following up to check and see where things are at with scheduling. I don't believe we have gotten a call since your last email, and my husband left you a voicemail this past Saturday. I'm sure you're quite busy with it being decent weather, but please email me or give us a call at your earliest convenience." The next day I received an email response saying he was not handling our deck, that we should've gotten a new contact number for us to call (which we never got), and I quote, "hope u feel better taking it out on me." I was very taken aback by that inappropriate, uncalled for, and unprofessional response. My husband called one of the owners directly the following day, 5/22 (already after when we were initially told the entire project would be done), and I'm not sure what happened during the conversation, but we were not on any schedule at that point. Chris, the owner, put us on the schedule, and one of his workers came out to power wash within a weeks time, but we weren't home when this happened. My husband was very pleased in talking to and working with Chris, Chris was very responsive, and we appreciated being scheduled so soon. About 3 weeks later on 6/16, 2 guys came to stain the deck. But none of the loose boards were nailed down like we were told they would be, and I even saw one of the workers just paint over bird droppings without washing them or even brushing them off. They were here 6 hours and didn't finish because they didn't have enough paint. They told me they'd come back to finish it in a day or two, and that it would NOT need as second coat (even though the product itself says a second coat is required). I wasn't exactly ecstatic about that, but understood, and thought they know better than me. However, when we both went out to look at the work that had been done that day, it was really obvious that it needed a second coat overall, or at least some serious time spent doing touch ups and making sure it was all painted. Some spots were completely bare, there was paint on our siding, on the hoses, and even a long streak of it down our driveway from when they hauled their stuff back to their vehicle. We were both pretty worked up about how things stood at this point. My husband again called Chris and said that it would need some more work than just a finish of the first coat, and again, Eric was great. The weather wasn't so great around this time, so he had indicated that they'd be out within a few days. Two days later, they did return. One of the same workers who had already been out here, along with the other owner, Eric. That was a pleasant surprise, and he was wonderful. He was friendly and explained that he wanted us to be happy with the result and he'd do whatever he could to make that happen. He and the other worker finished the first coat, and walked around to ensure that everything was painted. He said not to hesitate to contact him if we had any issues, saw any spots that we wanted visited again, etc. They left and I was very happy with the way Eric approached the situation--he was great. The finished product is great, and we know the product we selected wasn't the easiest to work with so we know it took some extra elbow work on the workers' end to get it to look good. I would work with them again, but really, only if we could deal with the owners directly all the way through, which isn't necessarily realistic.
