Description of Work: They were recommended by a local hardware store. I had an old aluminum frame window that had to be replaced. I brought it in. I felt that it took way too long to get it fixed and had to repeatedly call in for an updated. They told me when I picked it up that it was a special glass that had to be ordered. I don't know why it had to be special, as it was a single pane storm window on a casement type aluminum frame. Also, if special glass had to be ordered, why did they not tell me that in the several calls I made prior to that asking why it was taking so long?

+ -1 moreOverall I would definitely do business with Long Lake Glass again. The installers Rick and TJ were nothing short of skilled craftsmen and treated my home with great respect. I felt very comfortable with these guys working in my home. My only advice to you is insist that either one of these guys come out and do the measuring and estimating during the sales and selection process if you want the job done right the first time. The salesperson for Long Lake Glass is a likable guy but kind of a puttz. He needed to measure the shower door twice to get the job done and measurements for the windows happened three times and were still wrong on installation day! I was a little perturbed by this but in the future I will just mandate that Rick or TJ do the measuring. I am very satisfied with the finished product. Thanks!

+ -1 moreWe did a glass block shower, they actually called me to the design site because the design was causing a bit of problem. They showed me options and what they recommended, they had a good reason for it. I don't remember what changed, I just remember that I was impressed that they bothered to call me out there and give me the option. They said glass block is like stacking bottles on top of each other, it's a real art form and really tricky. They showed me why one way wouldn't work and I told them to do it their way because they knew what they were doing. They didn't just do it and tell me later, they called me out to be part of the discussion as the home builder. They are local as well.
Description of Work: Long Lake Glass did glass block and did glass for the shower doors and other glass we needed in the house for the home we were building.
