After giving us a huge pitch about how great they were at permanently removing pest from places assuring us that our problems were very manageable, we signed up for a service type contract where they would come and set traps, check traps, seal the house from pests. They guaranteed that we wouldn't have any pest for 6 months after they were through. (should have been my first clue: permanent removal means a lot longer than 6 months) They came out and set around 6-7 traps for moles. They were to check the traps every other day for critters. While they were at our house for the original bid, we mentioned that bats and mice get in to the house. They enthusiastically stated that they could rid us of that problem as well. Over a thousand dollars later, we still had/have the mole/vole problem and all of the blocking devices that they put on the house have fallen off except for one. They had to be called to come and check the traps which were always full. Weeks would go by when they were not to be seen even though the traps were holding dead animals. They finally came to the house one day, took their traps and declared that our mole/vole problem was cured. Two days later, more new tunnels erupted in the yard and the company never returned my phone calls. The wire mesh that they supposedly permanently afixed to the house to stop mice from coming in had all fallen off by that time. Also, the one "solution" that they used was a poop brown colored compound a fixed to where they thought bats could enter. This disgusting brown stuff that stands out terribly against my beige colored house and this was after I had specifically asked whether they could match the house with the products they were to use. We have since tried to paint it but nothing will stick to the compound. The guy that I believe is the owner of the company is a friendly and very congenial when he's trying to sell you his services but he did not deliver what he said he could and would do. We were never without moles. He didn't come to check on the traps even when called to tell them they were full ant his home protection against mice was a joke. The only thing I can say is that we won't have bats or any thing getting into where the brown goop is nor will people stop asking me what that gross stuff is coming from my house.
Description of Work: Outdoor pest removal. They set traps for voles/moles wrecking my yard. They also "fixed" my house so mice and bats could not get into the house.

They installed traps and checked them daily. Once they caught the racoon they took him to a place where you must release them and set another trap. I thought that they nandled it very well. I could tell that they did come out to check them daily. He also gave me some information about sealing up the area, which I did and have not had problems since.
Description of Work: We hired them to remove a racoon that had gotten into our attic.

Due to the steep pitch of our roof and the icy/snowy conditions in December, they couldn't actually get up on the roof to inspect it for entry points. They told me they would come out and complete the roof inspection in the spring at no extra charge, so I put a reminder on my calendar to make certain I called them in the spring to do so. However, before I was able to call them in the spring, they called me in April to remind me and make an appointment to come out!
Description of Work: They came out promptly last winter to remove a bird that had become trapped in our fireplace flue. They also did an inspection of the house for possible entry points for mice, squirrels, etc. and pointed out possible problems on the roof area.

He was efficient. He came and did not leave the animals up there. He came back sometimes twice in one day. The other great thing about him was that, he also did carpentry so we could repair the holes too, instead of having to call a different person for that. I would use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: I used the services of Minnesota Wild Animal Management Inc. The last time I used their services was a couple of weeks ago. They charge by the squirrel.

I have used them a few times. Mice were coming into our house. I think they have always been really nice and respectful. The nice thing about this was that he marked all the places where mice were coming in and said that we could take care of it ourselves. He told my husband how to fix it or we could pay them to do it. I thought it was nice of them to tell us how to do it ourselves.

I am TERRIFIED of birds and bats flying near me so was panic-stricken when a bat flew right by me in the living room last night. It ended up in the basement which I sealed off. The bat just perched there and was still there this morning when I got up and called these guys. Dustin handled my call and setting up the appt and was very responsive. Mike called a few minutes later to say he was about 15 mins away. He came, got the bat wtihin minutes and then did his inspection. He was also willing to check in some unlikely places that I was feeling a little paranoid about, so I feel like I may be able to sleep again someday. I took the bat to U of M for rabies testing- recommended (or required?) by the health dept. any time a bat has been in the house. That fee was separate and was $25. Mike did not see any signs of a colony but left a complete estimate for screening off a few areas where bats may choose to enter. I plan to have them back to do these simple fixes. As they say, an ounce of prevention.... I would definitely use these guys again but HOPE (fingers crossed) that I never need to. (I only rated them a B on price because it seems fairly high for the amount of time they spend on site. However, they were the best price I got when calling around so in that sense, they get an A!)

Very responsive company. Pleasant, knowledgeable workmen that kept me informed of what they were going to do at my house and when. If their schedule changed, they let me know.
Description of Work: The whole house was thoroughly inspected inside and out for squirrel/mouse entry points. Each area was then caulked or screened off. Roof traps were also set and monitored through the process. The basement, garage, and exterior of the house were sprayed with a "green" insecticide to get rid of spiders and centipedes. Two applications are part of the price.

The work was great and so was he. He did not overdo what he had to do but sort of did the minimum, and he came back to check it in a couple of days, I really liked and appreciated that he was not overcharging me. The price wasn’t a lot. The last time around, I don’t even think he charged me because he set up just one container to get them, and he solved the problem. I would rate him highly and would use him again in the future if necessary.

Upon the initial consultation, they promised that they would attempt to rid our lawn of moles, voles and other lawn ruining, trench digger vermin. They stated that they had several very important clients such as the University of Minnesota and Hamline University. We had to constantly and continually call this company asking for them to return to service traps and remove the dead animals as stated in the contract we had with them. They were supposed to check the trapping area no less than every other day. They never came to the house without being prompted by nagging phone calls from us. In order for them to haphazardly appear at our house, we would have to repeatedly call them. Days would go by and finally the service truck would retrieve the trapped dead carcasses. If someone happened to be home, the service person would begrudgingly set new traps explaining that they were so busy eradicating pests at Hamline or somewhere equally as important that they had no time to get to all of their case load. At one point they stated that our pests were all gone (even though there were new tunnels that had be dug that morning) Also, during the time the dead mole/vole was entrapped, keeping my dogs out of the traps became increasingly difficult thus, the longer it would go before they serviced traps, the more frantic I would become. On the phone, they would promise that they would come and then never show up. Initially our first appointment had left us so hopeful that we contracted not only to have the lawn vermin eliminated but also potential vermin in the house eradicated as well. The sales person convinced us that we were open to mice infestation. On the return visit, the technician put steel wool in a few spots and put thin gauge wire mesh over things like the dryer exhaust and bathroom fan outputs. Less than a week after installing the mesh on the existing "holes",the wind took them all off. We collected the wire and steel wool so it could be re-installed when they returned to check for dead mice (as promised) but they never returned. We repeatedly called for follow up but no one ever returned. One afternoon while we were gone, the remaining mole traps that were outside our house were mysteriously removed. None of our neighbors saw the company come to collect the traps but I assume they were the ones to take them. Foolishly we had paid the entire amount up front because this company was/is on Angie's list. We still have moles, voles and now mice (because the mesh installers took off the original dryer and vent covers) and we are also out nearly 1000 dollars (actually more because of an initial down payment that I paid for in cash). I have all of my signed contracts which back up my entire story along with a call log. I would advise no one to go to this place of business. Ever.

First we had an estimate which was very reasonable - then the work was completed in a very timely manner - over a period of about 1 week Victor came by almost every 2 days to check traps and remove rodents - then in the second week he spent another couple of days fixing squirrel-proof wire to potential rooftop entry points and sealing the foundation of the house with cement to prevent smaller rodents from getting in - he also took extra care to ensure that the dryer vent was properly screened to keep the critters out - great job! We should have paid more for what he did - we did give him a big tip!
Description of Work: Victor was the best at removing the rodents from our attic and then he went for extra work and made sure all of the potential entry points were completely sealed - from roof to ground. We have been rodent free for 2 years - but if we ever need this service again, we will definitely go with this company -

The person came out to see if any had been able to get into my attic plus and looked around to view any places within the foundation that other rodents could get in and he found 3 and I had them fix them as needed. Since I live in a twinhome complex, he did walk over and seen that my neighbors had a place where bats were getting into his attic through his chiminey. To fix the 3 entrances that cost me $50, where for them to just come out was $100.

Overall, the experience was excellent. As I mentioned, Victor was consistently polite, professional, on time, and left notes explaining what he had done and when he'd be back. I wasn't home once, but VIctor has never left a mess.
Description of Work: Over the New Years weekend, we noticed a hole in our soffit and realized several squirrels had decided to shack up in our roof. After trying to remove them ourselves, I contacted MN Wild Animal Management. Mind you, it was New Years Day, but Victor called me back right away. He was extremely polite, professional, and offered to come out that day. He also explained in detail what the company did, how they did it, and options for removal. In addition to the fee for animal removal, the company does a thorough assessment of the property for additional hotspots. And while we decided to wait until Monday to start the removal, Victor was punctual and set up kill traps to remove the animals. The animal removal fee includes as many trips as necessary to complete the removal and Victor has been back on several occasions (turns out we had 4 squirrels living in there).

If I could give this company an A+++++++++++++++ I would. They are wonderful, I've used them in the past to find where squirrels were getting into my attic and today to find where mice were entering my home. They did a complete inspection of the house - top to bottom. They crawled around on my steep wood shingled home to find where the squirrels got in and searched around the garage and outside perimeter of my home to see where the mice were getting in. They found and sealed all areas for both. This company stops the critters from getting back in! They do not put poison out and affect one or two critters; they seal off the entrances so none of them can get back in. They do a wonderful job. I hope I never have to use them again, but since I live in a wooded area I might. If so, I will definately give them a call! You should too!

Dustin shared a lot of information and we felt like we could really trust him to do a good job. We have not had trouble with bats since the repairs.
Description of Work: We had a bat in our house that came in from the attic. Dustin came out to inspect a couple of days later and recommended several repairs and installation of inclusions so that the bats could eventually leave (most were hibernating at the time) and not return. The repairs included 2 cages under our eaves where birds/squirrels had done damage and spikes where birds had nested.

Overall, I would rate the work as excellent. I was disappointed I had to have them back to my house. However, I was very relieved that they stood by their guarantee and they communicated that to me without me having to ask. They were very patient and thorough. I would recommend them to others!
Description of Work: I originally had MINNESOTA WILD ANIMAL MANAGEMENT to my house in April, 2009 for a mouse problem. In Jan. 2010, follow-up work was unfortunately required I when I discovered new evidence of mice in the house. Dustin did the original inspection in 2009 as well as the Jan. 2010 re-inspection. During both meetings, he was very thorough, professional, and polite. In April, 2009, he not only found numerous holes where mice were potentially entering the house, but he also found a dead bat in the basement. He quoted the fee to fix the mice and bat problem and then, over the course of a few weeks, he and others completed the work. Once the work was completed, I was provided paperwork indicating they guarantee their work for 4 years. On Jan. 26, 2010, Dustin and another employee (Tyler?) returned to inspect the house again after I called to explain I had found new mice droppings. When I arrived at my house for the 2 p.m. appointment, both workers were already on the roof inspecting. Without me asking, they immediately reassured me that their work would be covered by their four (4) year guarantee so there was no additional charge. They spent over and hour inspecting every area of the house including the roof (in 10 degree weather). They found and plugged potential entry points. In addition, Dustin gave me a free glue trap and he gave me advice about other types of traps I could purchase.

It was ultimately fine, but they don't really understand where the an animal is coming from or what the best course of action is. It ended up being a series of trial and error before it was all said and done. There was a series of follow up meetings and it was more time-consuming than it should have been. I'm not even sure if it's still fixed and they don't guarantee it. I didn't find the people to be bad, but it's kind of a frustrating area. They are outrageously expensive. They didn't show up sometimes. They were nice people.

This was a very good experience. Dustin climbed my steep wood shake shingled house inspecting for critter damage in order to find entrance points. He monitored the traps daily; removed trapped red squirrels and when all activity ended he patched the holes with rodent proof material. I was very pleased with him and the quality of his work. I hope NEVER to need them again, but if I do; I would call them immediately. This company guaranteed their work for 48 months.

A squirrel got into our basement and on Sunday, February 22, we called Minnesota Live Animal Management for help. Victor answered the call and said he would be over in an hour. He arrived promptly, got the squirrel to come out of its hiding place by imitating a squirrel's call, and to our amazement, grabbed the squirrel with his gloved hand. He put it in a cage in his truck to release it far from our home. Victor then figured out that the squirrel had entered our house through the dryer vent. He installed a animal-proof guard over the vent outside and left an estimate for us in case we want to be more squirrel-proofing in the future. Victor was punctual, efficient, skilled, and courteous. I couldn't have been happier with the results.

Thought we had a woodchuck in the yard. Dan came out and was right on time. He looked at the hole but said that it didn't appear to have any current activity. Suggested filling it in and keeping an eye on it. He took a look around the house to see if there was any evidence of other animal activity on the property. Saw that the dryer vent wasn't covered, so he created a cover for it. I called them back because the hole came back, but without tell tale signs of a burrough (no pile of dirt next to the hole). Dan thought it might be dirt settling into the old hole. He gave me some advice on what to try next. I took those steps and am now waiting to see if the hole comes back.

The overall job took about a month. I think that there were some aesthetic things which they could have done better. For example they put some metal grating over some vents in the front of my home and I think that could have been handled better. I didn't completely agree with the way they decided to take care of the mice. They put down glue traps and told me that I wouldn't be bothered by them and the mice would likely die of things like heart failure before I would be bothered by them. I didn't think they listened to my concerns about having to see or deal with the mice myself. I think that they are very expensive, but they do a very thorough job.

Very good experience from start to finish. They set traps for the squirrels and came out every day or two to check the traps until the squirrels were completely gone. Then they checked our home/roof to seal all possible points of entry. They provide a warranty on their work. It has been a year since this service was performed and we are still squirrel-free. Note that other companies charge extra per animal trapped, while this company has flat rate. Very happy with the experience!
