From the beginning discussions through the design and build phase Joel provided excellent communication, options and ideas. We were able to create our budget and modify our plans to fit our needs. Our project presented unique challenges and Joel always had great suggestions and design ideas. As picky consumers we were cautious of quality and budget but Joel exceeded our expectations. The final product was more beautiful than I expected. His installation was quick and he solved issues on the spot. Working with Joel was by far the best part of our construction. He was honest, ethical and a talented cabinet designer and builder.

Great! Joel was very kind and professional and had the work done even sooner than I had expected! I got the vibe that Joel is a decent and honest guy. Thomas was the one who actually built the shelves and he was professional, fast and cleaned up after himself well. They accommodated a small special request of mine promptly and without complaint. It was expensive to have the shelving custom built, but they did a fantastic job and it was worth it. My new shelves are soft close and super strong, so I'm not afraid to fill them with heavy canned goods. As a bonus, my pantry smells like fresh cut wood, which is nice. :)

Joel and team are very conscious of working in a home that is being lived in and contain the construction mess. They are neat, clean and very efficient. Would definitely hire them for any future projects.

Kendall Woodworks Inc. was a delight to work with from start to finish. I needed to replace my cooktop after I dropped a dish on it and cracked the glass top. Not wanting to create more work I was diligent in getting a replacement cooktop that would fit into my existing counter cut out. When the installation of the new cooktop was completed I encountered an unexpected new problem! My drawer now hit a control box that is attached underneath the new glass cooktop. I needed to find a professional who could cut the back of the drawer down so it could close again without hitting the control box. Checking Angie's List I noticed Kendall Woodworks Inc. Since it was nearby and had great reviews I contacted them first and I'm so glad I did. Joel responded to me promptly. He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional in every communication with me. I was able to drop the drawer off right away and it was ready the next day. Even though my job was small for Kendall Woodworks Inc. I felt my little drawer was given a lot of thought and attention to detail. I met Michael when I picked up the drawer who was also very professional, kind and courteous. The workmanship exceeded my expectations. I love the rounded edge of where the drawer was cut out and the finish is beautiful. One would never know it wasn't custom made this way originally. I will not hesitate to call Kendall Woodworks Inc. for future carpentry needs and I would highly recommend this company. Thank you Kendall Woodworks Inc.

It went amazingly well! The day I called they were out to see the job and gave me an estimate. They installed the still intact pieces and remade the broken piece the next day. The day after that, they finished by installing the new piece. Everything looks great. The communication was wonderful and the the prompt service was unbelievable. The installation guys (Thomas and Michael) were so nice and respectful. Joel was great to work with. I highly recommend this company.

He first did a fireplace surround for us approximately 20 years ago. About nine years ago, he did all the cabinetry for our finished basement, including an entertainment center, bar, kitchenette, home office and bathroom. Approximately 4 years ago, he did all of the cabinetry for our kitchen remodel as well as creating a built-in buffet, planning desk and new cabinets surrounding the fireplace. The kitchen cabinets are painted white, but the other cabinets are in cherry and walnut. Everything Joel does is custom built and of the highest quality. From tongue and groove drawers to soft close hinges. He worked with us closely to design the cabinets the way we wanted them and we have been very satisfied. That's why we keep going back to Joel. On top of doing great work, Joel is easy to deal with and a truly nice guy. It's great to find someone that takes pride in their work and wants to make sure that the customer is satisfied. We have referred Joel to many of our friends and neighbors and all of them have been extremely happy with his work.

I live in Colorado and had Kendall Woodworks make my cabinets. I constantly get compliments on the cabinets at home and the cabinets that were made for my 15,000 sq/ft office complex. Joel Kendall was onsite when both were installed and I couldn't be happier with the job Joel and his crew did. Their attention to detail and personalized service was more than I expected. I don't believe you could find a higher quality cabinet at the same price anywhere. Kendall Woodworks also did a large conference table and a front office desk/counter at my office. Kendall Woodworks designed, custom built and installed wood cabinetry for our kitchen. This required personalized conferences both in person and via email to determine our "wants and needs", measuring the appropriate spaces, providing personalized designs, and, of course, the building and installing of the cabinetry. When we finally made the decision to re-do our kitchen, we started looking for good kitchen companies in the St. Louis area. When a couple of friends recommended Kendall Woodworks, we went out on a limb and said that we would check in to the company. Understand that this company is in Minn. and we are in Missouri and were unsure how the process would work....but we did like the 2 kitchens that we saw. Joel flew to Missouri to talk with us about what we wanted and to talk about his company and how he built his cabinets. He immediately gave us some verbal examples of what he would envision the kitchen as. We felt very comfortable with Joel and the process began with him taking basic measurements and us giving him a general idea of what we were thinking. A couple of weeks later, Joel provided us with two basic plans of what he would like to do with the kitchen. These were hand draw, not CAD drawings like you would get from a kitchen place here--but they were very thorough and detailed. I have to tell you, they were SO different from what we had, I was a little scared, and I couldn't quite grasp the concepts. But I taped things out and spoke with Joel and we talked about things that I didn't think would work for me and things that he was quite insistent on and we came to a mutual meeting of the minds, although I still had trouble visualizing what it was all going to look like in the end. Joel flew out again and met with our General Contractor who would be doing the tear-out, electrical, plumbing, etc. and took final measurements. So, essentially the project was a "go" in August. Joel sent periodic pictures of the work being done on the cabinets and it was very fun to see each section progress. We also had periodic conference calls to address little issues such as hardware, colors etc. Joel drove our cabinets in from MN on November 26 and began installation that evening (this was Thanksgiving, folks and he gave up time with his family to bring in everything. They finished up the cabinet installation the next day and it was virtually perfect. There was, I believe, 1 drawer that needed to be adjusted. And as to how it looked....I cannot believe I ever doubted what my kitchen would look like. I have a gorgeous, 1 of a kind kitchen that makes everyone's mouth drop the second that they walk in the house. The handcrafted cabinetry is phenomenal in it's workmanship and the creative vision that went into the design took my house to a whole new level. Am I pleased? More than I can say. Would I use Kendall Woodworks again? In a heartbeat--in fact, our next project will be the master bath. Would I recommend this company--a resounding YES--no matter what state that you live in, you can be assured that you will get spectacular results! Sorry that the pictures that I have posted show a messy kitchen......we finished up with the granite and everything right at Christmas, so we were working hard to get stuff done :)

Joel designed and met with us at every stage, he would revise plans, get approvals, delivered on time and on budget. We are very, very happy with these custom cabinets!

The owner Joel designed a really nice custom design for the front counter. It turned out beautifully!!
