Both Gunner crews were fantastic. Unfortunately, I'm still getting some ice damming - might just be the age of our house/roof + the crazy harsh winter this year, but regardless - the crews were very professional, thorough, and cleaned up everything. Would recommend Gunner and will likely use them again in the future.

Bill and Dane came over to give me an estimate. They thoroughly explained what they were going to do and why. Based on Bill's estimate I hired Gunner Insulation to complete the work. They arrived on time and prepared the areas to be insulated. Dane & Brian did an excellent job applying closed cell spray foam insulation to the inside of the exterior block wall and noise batting insulation to the interior walls and ceiling. They completed the job and cleaned up. Nicole from Gunner Insulation supplied me with a Certificate of Insulation for my records. I'm very satisfied with the work Gunner did for me and would definitely hire them again. Thank you Bill, Dane, & Brian!

Very profession, quick and progressional

It went great! Old, deteriorated insulation was safely removed; testing was done through a State-authorized lab for asbestos; new insulation installed, new vents created. Work was done in a timely way with accommodation for owners' schedules.

Work was done to my satisfaction. It was done on schedule and workers were courteous and professional.

The most positive aspect of this company is the communication. Bill is extremely cheerful and responsive. As far as quality of work, I'm not in much position to say except that the improvement in the blower door test was minimal and an energy-efficiency friend was skeptical of the quality of work based on how little time was spent on the job (about 2 hrs not including the blower door tests). And getting the Centerpoint rebate has been like pulling seven hundred teeth. I've emailed ~10 times now to ask what they needed from me, what else they needed from me, what else they needed from me, request a copy of the documentation for my records (and to make sure this thing gets in before the deadline), request a copy of the documentation again. Every time, Bill responds cheerfully and immediately, and then all goes silent until I get fed up and email again and find out that, oh, they need something else from me. Crazymaking. It feels as though the rebate would never have gotten submitted to the gas company had I not badgered them repeatedly over the course of six weeks. I get that they're new to Centerpoint's program, but come on.

The owner of the company was very friendly, easy to work with and gave a detailed description of the work that would be done. He made sure that the paperwork for the Xcel Energy rebate was completed and he mailed it for me. The day of insulation the team arrived a few minutes early which was fine because they called ahead. All the men were professional, friendly and well trained. The lead guy walked me through the process as they went. Not only did he explain but he also showed me what they were going to do. I asked a lot of questions and they were happy to talk about their jobs and what is required and they were proud of the fact that they are detailed and thorough and they enjoy doing their job. My bathroom vent was not vented properly and they took care of that and explained the process and showed me the parts they were going to use. They cleaned up so well that you could not tell they had even been there. Later that evening the owner called to make sure that I was happy with the service and let me know if there was any issues to let them know. Overall a wonderful company, owner and crew to work with. I would use them again if needed and definitely recommend them to everyone I know.

Gunner's crew were amazing, one of the best contractor experiences we have had. The communicated well, worked with us to get the work scheduled and completed on time. Dain was very thorough with the inspection and proposed work. During the work they protected all surfaces and cleaned up extremely well when they were done each day. The installed closed cell foam and blown-in cellulose. It has made in immediate impact to the comfort of our living spaces.

Everything done as Bill the owner and promised. Workers were here on time and very pleasant and polite. They put up new air chutes, sealed around everything and brought it up to and R60 value. I appreciated that they certified their work and applied for a rebate for me, everything was taken care of by them. I would definitely recommend.

Everything went very well. We chose Gunner because Dain was very good at answering our questions (and we had a lot of them). He also explained some options to consider and pros and cons of each. He was very good about keeping us updated on schedule and revised the budget more than once when we decided on some different options. Dain takes pride in the quality of his work and even came back and did some rework of the foam insulation that had been sub contracted. I would definitely hire Gunner again.

Our garage wasn't insulated before us moving in so we finished the garage and had them insulate the attic above the garage. I had to cancel our appointment a couple of times and Bill, the owner, was super accommodating and understanding. When the day came to insulate, the crew was very professional and were good at communicating. They showed my husband the attic several times during different steps to make sure he was aware of what they were doing, how they were doing it, and to make sure he was happy with the work. I definitely recommend them!

Dane and his crew updated attic insulation, air sealed around vents and lights, installed new vents, replaced the vent tubing for the bathroom fan, and installed new insulation and batting around the skylight. Dane communicated not only his recommendation for the work to be done by why each item was necessary and the benefit it would provide. He also took the time to answer questions. Because of this strong communication I felt confident in my decision-making process. Crew was very friendly, punctual, and hardworking. Overall I was very impressed with the quality of the work and would definitely hire again if need be.

Outstanding - highly recommend to anyone. We will definitely use them again. After discussing the job with the owner at the estimate appt, we didn't even bother checking with any other venders. His knowledge of what we needed was obvious. His crew was at our house that afternoon and finished at noon the next day. The team was very professional and left a clean work site. What impressed us the most was they found issues with our AC duct work and vents, and were willing and able to fix the problems right then and there.

They did an excellent job of determining what was needed to achieve this, and relieve us of recurring ice dam problems. No ice dams this winter!

What great service! I emailed a query on a Saturday and received a reply within a few hours. When Bill and Dane came to evaluate and measure for preparing an estimate, the arrived within the expected timeframe. They took off their shoes to walk around, and provided good explanations about options. Their estimate was similar in cost to another one. In addition to their friendliness and helpfulness, one of the reasons I chose Gunner to do the job was that they had a portable machine for blowing insulation. I was thrilled when I found that out. (Otherwise, there would have been the hassle of having a really long hose going through the condo building, and I would have needed to have someone watch the propped-open security door the whole time.) On the day of the job, one worker arrived within 15 minutes of the set time -- which was acceptable given that he was coming from Chisago City down to Eagan. He laid down lots of drop cloths and drilled the holes. An issue arose when he discovered that there was some old insulation in the walls shared by adjoining units. He found that out after drilling one hole, and immediately told me that meant they couldn't blow cellulose into those walls. The company adjusted the price a bit to compensate for that. The two other workers arrived a bit after the prep work was done, so I'd given them an A- for punctuality. After the job was done, they did a great job cleaning up. There was a problem with their relatively new vacuum breaking down, but they finished the clean up using mine. Overall: excellent! My only disappointment is that the Gunner guys don't provide mudding the holes as part of the service; they insert plugs, but that's it. They will arrange for another contractor to do the mudding/patching, but, due to the distance their local guy would have had to drive, that option was too expensive. (Another company's estimate for insulation included their guys patching the holes, "feathered" for flat and stable, with only some light sanding needed. I would have gone with them, except they didn't have a portable machine.)

I am unhappy with the results I got from paying over $1400 and I have the same problems before Gunner Insulation came. I let the owner know I was unhappy and he said he would work with me but has not. He did call because I sent an email telling him I was not happy. He did not even come over like he said he would. I don't feel that he knows what he was doing for the situation at my house and just wanted to make some money off me. I think the problem I have with my roof heating up and causing icicles is more than he was able to do and instead of saying so he did work I did not need. I also needed to have more ventilation than the one installed for the roof too and it wasn't done. I think the bid and work done was all wrong. One thing the guy that did the work said there was foam insulation in the eaves on the back of the house and it was done wrong but he left it that way. Great! I did get another bid prior to Gunner and I was told I didn't need any insulation; so I should have gone a different direction. I would not suggest using this company. Call your local power companies like Xcel Energy or Centerpoint Energy for a consultation before hiring someone. I wish I did! The pictures were taken in February 2018 and the work was done September 2017. I have pictures from 2016 that look the same as the 2018 pictures. The tell tell sign is the heating bills and my heating bills are just as high as before the work was done.

I would highly recommend Gunner insulation without hesitation. They were prompt to respond to my initial phone call, and came out the same day for an estimate. Additionally, they also took the time to meet with our insurance adjuster since we were working with an insurance claim. Wonderful company and very knowledgeable.

The crew of four guys arrived on time and worked as a team. It took almost four hours to prep for the blown in insulation. They added shuctes and replaced all the fan vent pipes with new insulated vent pipes. I was very impressed with their respect for our home and the cleanup job they did.
