Description of Work: I did not hire them because I thought their price was too high

Description of Work: Inspected insulation in our attic. Concluded it was sufficient and no additional services were needed at this time.

Description of Work: Attic insulated; received a quote on insulating the walls as well which we plan to do in the spring.

Description of Work: They inspected the attic. We needed new ventilating shutes and insulation. We only had R28 and it needed to be R50. When they came back they made sure to lay down plastic to keep the area clean. They added the shutes and enough insulation to bring it up to R50. When leaving they made sure to clean up and did a very good job. |We are very pleased with the result. Bill and the guys were great to work with.

Description of Work: Attic insulation. They put plastic on my steps as it was a wet/rainy morning outside. They seemed to complete the job efficiently and quickly. Wish I had looked in the attic before they put insulation over the entry spot in the attic floor just to see it - I didn't think of it until they had left.

Description of Work: I hired them to check out my attic because I've been having ice dams for years. That's all they did was stand by the entrance to the attic and say, "It looks good to me." One gentleman did get on top of the roof, but the question still remained after they left: Is the problem the attic or the roof?

Description of Work: I spent way too much money. I should have gone thru Home Depot like he does only with out the added cost of his opinion. He didn't, even access the attic

Description of Work: The Gunner Insulation Company evaluated my attic insulation. Due to years of settling of my previous insulation, we had fresh insulation added. Work was done quickly around my schedule. The men were very careful and cleaned completely before leaving. I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: Gunner Insulation blew insulation into the ceiling of my garage to provide insulation in the two bedrooms above the garage. The installation went very well. I soon discovered, however, I had insulation in my furnace and cold air returns on that end of the house. Gunner Insulation told me they would take care of having it removed. Bill the owner also told me he had never seen anything like this in the 40 years he has been in the business. Bill was true to his word. The insulation was removed from the air ducts today just in time for me to have to turn my furnace on. I would definitely recommend anyone use them they were very professional and honest. I had a rare problem but it was taken care of.

Description of Work: I had questions about moisture in my attic. He looked at it, recommended air vents that fit in the joice and said he would give me a couple to try. He didn't. He also said he would contact a "ventilation guy" he knew to tell me about proper ventilation which he didn't. I told him I didn't have soffits on my house and twice he asked and then looked outside and said, " oh no soffits". He really didn't tell me anything helpful and I am in the same situation I was before he came to my house.

Description of Work: The owner said he would come. He did not. The guy who came was an hour late--have to give him credit for calling after a half - hour late. He didn't want to do the work--wanted to come back. He was heavy and getting up into the attic was major effort--my friend and I were afraid his ladder was going to break or he would have a heart attack--serious sweat. He left a mess of insulation on the floor. Couldn't tell me that everything looked fine until after he went outside to call his boss. Didn't trust his integrity at all. Sorry I wasted my money.

Description of Work: Very good, they met a tight deadline and performed well. We updated our insulation to prevent ice dams.

Description of Work: Kevin was very helpful and we will likely contact this company in the future - when we are prepared for a much larger job. We were told that installing $500 worth of insulation was not practical, so, we are requesting a refund.

Description of Work: The bid for the job was about $1000 more than another bid. It does not seem like the bid refected a $400 savings ($99 deal for $500 of work)

Description of Work: Gunner Insulation added vents and blew in insulation into the attic of our 1964 rambler house. Bill Dwyer was a pleasure to work with. He was attentive and knowledgable and his pricing was very fair. His crew was professional, hard working and efficient. I couldn't even tell they had been there after they finished and left. What a great experience and company.

Description of Work: I had major leakage during this 2014 winter but had little leaks in the past. I had already put a new roof three years ago so I knew it was the insulation that was causing the problem. Bill Dwyer came in as soon as I called him and he looked at my attic. He knew immediately the problem was the lack of air getting into the attic and the previous owners had not insulated correctly and had not put in air chutes. |He gave me an estimate and although I thought it was higher than expected, I knew he was right about what was going on. There were multiple layers of insulation, no air venting and the stove ventiwas not insulated and was not directed out the house. On top of that, in order to get the job down correctly, they would have to remove all the insulation, fix the venting and install new air chutes. That requires alot of work - more than I thought I needed. |My attic is very difficult to get into - you have to be a pretty fit/moderate sized person to squeeze through one door and take an immediate right through a 3hx2w door. Very claustrophobic. The team (Corey and Cody) had to push all the batting through the little door (the only access for air) and dealt with >130 degree heat. I was home when they started and was a little concerned about how it would work and how they would handle it. They not only did an excellent job - they worked straight through with occassional breaks to get a breath of fresh air. I did get concerned about how hot the attic was but they kept on smiling and kept working. When they were done, they cleaned up my house better than it was before they started - I guess these guys know how to use a broom! |I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone that needs attic work done. They were honest, very timely and did an excellent job. They are very personable people and they have renewed my faith in hiring contractors as I am a single person and always question whether or not the quotes are accurate. Bill is not only nice, he is honest and his quote on his card 'The company with honor' truly exemplifies what he represents. |Highly recommend this company for anyone that needs their attic fixed - and they promised me that if I had problems in the future, to call them.
