hired their hvac, electrical and plumbing depts for a kitchen remodel. They were fine for the estimate stage, but I had issues with all 3 depts for the work they did. Plumbing forgot to remove a gas line, electrical had to come back to fix their sloppy workmanship. The exterior vent for the range hood was a sloppy mess and never fixed. Way over priced for the workmanship.

They arrived for the scheduled service and after 30 minutes I received an invoice for $455. I called the office to discuss and the person I spoke with could have cared less about my concern. Time to find a new HVAC company.

AMI's crew did a fabulous job replacing the furnace and installing a central air conditioning system! The work was performed in a timely manner (7 hours) on my old house, and was very high quality, professional class.

Paul Peters and Shane installed a new furnace with a little bit of new ductwork and a new tankless water in my aging house. They were friendly, efficient and kept me up-to-date on what was going on. Their work is superb. The furnace tested well above its rated efficiency. The installations look nice. They explained it all to me as well as writing clear instructions on which way to install the filter. That's something I 100% appreciate. They left the area cleaner than they found it. The company automatically applied for rebates on my behalf. Friendly Michael Cummings came out to fine tune the furnace. He answered the few questions I had. He helped me set up the thermostat app and showed me a feature not mentioned in the handbook. He gave me recommendations on the best way to set up the heating time frames and the fan to optimize comfort while saving money. I highly recommend Air Mechanical. From beginning to end it's been a smooth and stress-free experience. And they do great work.

My boiler was turning on and off briefly and repeatedly. AM sent a technician out within a couple days to repair. He said he fixed it, but problem persisted. AM sent another technician out a few days later. This individual also said he fixed it when he left, but a few hours after he left, we realized he did something that left my family without hot water. AM sent a third tech out on a Saturday. After about 4 hours, he couldn't figure out the issue, but was able to get occasional warm water. Late on Monday afternoon, a fourth technician came out and was able to get us hot water again. In the end, I needed to be home for 4 technician visits, made multiple phone calls, spent $200 and the original issue was not resolved.

Air Mechanical called to alert me that their technician was on his way and would be here in about 20 minutes. Andrew arrived as expected and got right to work on the furnace. I have Air Mechanical's Home Comfort plan which costs us $279 per year for an annual furnace tune-up and annual A/C tune-up. Today's charges were $33 for installing a new water panel on my humidifier. Andrew was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. That has been my experience with Air Mechanical for many years so it was not surprising at all. He did not push the water panel but offered me the choice since the system was suggesting a new one was needed.

We pay an annual fee of $234.00 for Air Mechanical's "Home Comfort Plan," which includes a furnace inspection and tune-up in the fall and an A/C tune-up in the spring. In addition, we get some discounts off of any needed service and $50 loyalty dollars that can be used towards other Air Mechanical purchases. For example, we used loyalty dollars for purchase of a new A/C last year and for installation of basement ductwork in the past. On this particular visit, their office called to say their technician Aaron was on the way. He arrived timely, checked out the system, and completed their form to certify that the system is working properly. Everything went smoothly as it always has with Air Mechanical, a company that has serviced our A/C and furnace for the 19 years we have been in this home.

We were attempting to replace 30 year old shower valve gaskets and the valve broke off of the base due to water deposits. This happened on a Saturday. Other plumbers in the area were unavailable, including the one I normally use. This company came out in the early evening. The technician explained the cost, I said that seems high @ $2,400 just to replace a valve. He said he had to re-plumb the new one. Depending on what guess you pick for Angie's List service (no shower valve replacement), the absolute highest price is $1,700 to replumb a house. While the work was done very well, this company gouges customers - see other reviews. The Service Manager Doug is always "in a meeting" and never returns calls (tried 4 times). This is an unethical company that preys on desperate situations, in my experience. I will never use again.

Air Mechanical called within the time frame previously provided to let us know that Aaron, the technician, was on his way. When Aaron arrived, he went to work immediately and stuck with the task until he was finished. I had asked Air Mechanical to bring a humidifier pad. Although Aaron brought the pad, he advised me that it was not necessary to change it since the one in our humidifier looked like new. Although the fee we pay for our preferred customer agreement ($234) covers annual A/C and furnace tune-ups and we expected no additional cost for this tune-up, we would have had to pay for the humidifier pad so I was grateful that Aaron was honest about us not needing to change it. Air Mechanical has been taking care of our A/C and furnace for many years, and it seems like everyone they send out to our house is professional, skilled, and easy to work with. Their techs will not hesitate to tell us about possible enhancements, but they do not try to pressure us into buying anything.

What a waste. Tech came out to inspect an abundance of water pooling around the furnace when the A/C was running. He came in, looked, said well it could be this, or this, or that, but you just really need to buy a new system. Didn't test anything. Didn't inspect anything - or look to see that it was just a plugged drain. Hardly touched anything before collecting his "service" fee and left. He wrote on the invoice that he could not confirm the unit was operational---Because he NEVER tried to turn it on! Had he tried to turn anything on, he would have noticed that the furnace didn't work, because of the water damage, and that I needed a new $400 computer board. I had to call another company to come to diagnose and repair that. A service that could have been done by Air Mechanical and a fee paid to them. But I guess they just wanted to come back out and collect another "service" fee. Total joke. This was my last call to Air Mechanical. Don't waste your time. They are more interested in collecting their commissions for selling new systems than actually fixing anything.

They were very professional and did a nice job of keeping everything clean. It is nice when you can get the before and after pics of your ducts. Not sure if you have to request this ahead of time. At my previous house these pictures were emailed to me afterwards but I didn’t get this service this time around.

Everything went according to plan. Great customer service.

Air Mechanical did all HVAC at my new home. This included all duct work, the furnace, wiring for dual zones, a water heater, and more. I also had water lines for in floor heat ran in my garage and basement though I do not know if they did these lines or not. The total was of course quite high though I didn't pay them directly - the builder did. My first problem was that I had no heat upstairs. I'm not sure how they didn't catch this. No air blew though any vents at all. Despite my frequent calls, it took them more than two weeks to come and fix this. It took the technician 15 minutes to fix it, so this could have been done at any time. In the middle of winter and sub-zero temperatures this made it tough on us, and my small children. Next, they agreed to install a boiler, a water softener, and an AprilAire for me. I called Tim for 3 weeks about this who kept promising he would get me a bid and take care of this. After a while he quit returning calls and they never got back to me. After switching to a new HVAC company, I discovered they had installed my water heater too close to where my boiler was supposed to go and I had to have it moved. They knew in advance what was to go into my utility room so this is not acceptable. Finally, they did not plum the extra wiring to my thermostats so once I got my humidifier installed I now have to have separate controls for it. This extra wiring cannot be added later, and would cost next to nothing. I was never given the option for this at any price and it feels like a cheap install that they did not do it.

It was great. Dalton arrived on schedule and the company sent me information on Dalton, including his picture so I could be sure he was the person that showed up at my door. He was very pleasant, helpful and respected my property by wearing booties. He also explained everything about my new thermostat and its functions. I

Air Mechanical provided a window of time when the technician would arrive. Late in that window, we received a call from the office letting us know that Sam was on the way. Although he arrived within the pre-appointed time frame, Sam apologized for being so late. This was not a problem for us, but it was nice that he was concerned. Sam went right to work, completed the inspection and testing, and took time to thoroughly go through his tune-up checklist and explain to me what he did and what he found. We $198 a year for Air Mechanical's Home Comfort Plan. Under this plan, Air Mechanical provides a furnace tune-up in the fall and an A/C tune-up in the spring. In addition, we build up "loyalty dollars," which we can use towards certain services. For example, when Air Mechanical installed ductwork in our basement, we were able to use some loyalty dollars towards the cost of that work. As I recall the Home Comfort Plan also gives us some discounts on parts and service and priority consideration when scheduling service work. Although there are companies that offer specials that could save us some money on tune-ups, we appreciate our relationship with Air Mechanical and the special benefits that the Home Comfort Plan provides.

I’ve got to call them today or tomorrow for the heating. I have an annual thing where they do heating and air conditioning checkup, it’s about $180 or $190 a year. They come out 2 times a year. It’s a set price for the checkup. Overall rating – For the work they do it’s “A” without a doubt. They will do repairs if it’s needed. Price rating – It’s hard to say because of their honesty, which they are. They don’t charge you for things that are unnecessary and they give you honest advice, which I like. In that respect they would be an “A”, but I’m not an expert on price. I’m sure it’s fair. As to being A, B or C, I don’t know. It certainly would be a “B” or higher, because the honesty part keeps it from being too high. They are real true to you and they don’t try to swindle you out of anything, that’s what I feel about them. All that type of businesses gets busy at times. They get hooked into things if they have to do work that they didn’t expect, but if they don’t have work that they don’t expect, they’re very good with punctuality. That’s just something I understand. I stopped because of finances, I didn’t get the contract thing for a couple of years, but it’s been at least 6 years now with 2 years missing in there. I’ve had experience and understand even though I wasn’t with them for 2 years, I would have called them right away. To be fair I would say I’ve been with them for 6 years.

That’s the honesty part. They looked at the warranty and there was a part that was warranty and they were able to get the company to cover it. The company that had originally did the job, I think was out of business. They handled it and did everything really good. That is what got me started with them, because I had to search around and find someone that would honor the original warranty if possible, and they did. They talked to the company for me, so that’s what really hooked me with them; because they were so straight forward with everything.They were real good and straight through on that, that’s why I ended up using them.

consisted of about 15 minutes cutting hole in ceiling and saying - yes, there's a leak. we'll need to schedule another trip to determine where the leak is coming from. Hmmmmmmm. sounds like the diagnosis was from the second trip - right??

If you're concerned about price you should shop elsewhere.

They did not clear the line as their snake was too short. They referred us to another company that was successful in clearing the line.

We received a call when Joe was on the way to our house, and he arrived around the time we expected him. He went about the checking of our A/C in a business-like manner and completed it without incident, taking time after he was finished to tell us how the system was working.

The guys who did the work (Dave and Dylan) were professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. They called when they were on the way, arrived around 7:45 am, and finished the work in about three to four hours. They cleaned up so that there was no noticeable mess. Dave was the main contact with us, and he obviously had a plan and completed it without any snags. We are happy with the job and happy to have heat in our basement after living here for over 17 years.

Chad did an excellent job. I liked that the office called when they were on there way. Will have them back a third time when we need them. Thank you.

Bryan and Andrew arrived on time, and they were professional, courteous, and up front about what they were going to do and what it would cost. They cleaned 14 furnace air ducts and added the dryer vent cleaning at no charge. They were careful not to track dirt through the house and used a cleaning process that created no noticeable dust or dirt in the house. The dryer vent had been cleaned by a contractor hired by our townhome association earlier this month. Even though their outside picture of the duct indicated it was pretty clean, Bryan suspected that only a partial stretch of the duct had been cleaned. Because it was no charge to us, they went ahead and cleaned out the entire duct and blew out a pile of "stuff." Based on my conversation when I made the cleaning appointment, I expected to pay $374 today if the dryer vent needed cleaning. This was already over $100 off of their normal price for furnace duct cleaning alone. So the $324 that we ended up paying was even a better deal. Bryan and Andrew were great guys to work with, and I do not know how this whole deal could have gone any better. We have been Air Mechanical customers for years, and this experience only solidifies that relationship.

Joe arrived on time and greeted us courteously. He went right to work and completed the tune-up without any issues.
