RANDY'S CABINETS & WOODWORKS

When he 1st came out to install the cabinets he had trimmed the counter tops out in wood which was the first problem we had .I was very adamant when I first sat down with Randy about the fact that I did not want my counter tops trimmed in wood .He did replace the counter tops. We purchased an additonal linen cabinet for $500.00 that is what the bid said and he charged us $600.00 . We moved into our house Dec 8th 2007 and with in a year the finish started to feather where the counter top met the cabinet in both bathrooms .ALso the finish started to come off on the bottom of our island from the floor to about 8inches up and I noticed the finish coming off some of the other cabinets .Randy was called and came out & re-lacquered them and said if we have any more problems to give him a call . well in Dec 2010 we called Randy Again because the same thing was happening in the same spots. Once again he came out . He wanted us to remove the cabinet doors sand them down & he would respray them with lacquer .He also offered to give us the supplies to re- lacquer the other areas our selves .We told him No . He accused me of using abrasive chemicals on them . .I have never used anything other than Murphy's wood oil soap , Vinegar & water or just plain old dish soap & water .Then he said that we had a moisture problem .We have an air exchanger and if any thing it tends to be a bit dry at times.We called him again and he was back out here in May 2011 . We didn't here from him so we called him back in June 2011,he asked if we had received any sealer we told him no and that was the last time we heard from him.Now we don't know which direction to go .I believe he should stand behind his work and thus far I can't say he has done this .New cabinets should hold up for more than 3 yrs.
