Description of Work: Representative/contractor came to site to assess the upgrades I want. Very thorough and professional. Received bid proposal promptly and communication via online was excellent. The job will not be completed until spring/summer. The first stage of me presenting the project I desire and the discussion and proposal following was excellent.

Dave Andrews was lead on our project. Dave is professional, personable, and efficient. Dave brought all the sub-contractors out at the same time to assess our job. He consolidated all estimates and forwarded them to me. We met and Dave answered all my questions, and I had a lot since I have not gone through a major renovation like this before. Dave did the best he could to accommodate our schedule throughout the project. Dave scheduled all the subs, who all showed up on time, and keep the job moving with little delay. Since we lived in the house during the renovation, Dave kept our home owner stress level to a minimum. All the subs worked together and called each other when they saw an issue that affected the other trades work. They anticipated issues that we would not have thought about as home owners and gave us options before the project moved forward. This resulted in a finished product that we love and with crisis situations during the renovation. Each sub that worked on our project was professional and you could tell that they cared about the quality of the work that they performed. Every sub was a true professional and craftsman. We could not be happier with the quality of each aspect of the job, They followed up and made sure that all of the finishing work was done to perfection. Although we changed the scope of some of the projects after the initial estimate, the job still came in as bid. The kitchen renovation transformed our home into a an amazing new space that is the pride of our home. I cannot recommend Edwards/La Plant and their sub-contractors more highly. You can't go wrong if you hire this group of professionals!

We didn't go with them for our house and chose another construction company. Their price was considerably higher for the same plan and specifications.
Description of Work: We only got an estimate for a house we were going to build. The company had built a garage for us several years prior and we were satisfied.

From start to finish they were very professional. They came out and did a full assessment of the basement with the drywallers, electrician, and other workers. They review the room, and gave us an estimate. Within a few weeks, they were out to start on the room. The electrician came out first, because some outlets in the room were affected, and to put in a light switch and ceiling light mount in the bedroom (room didn't have a ceiling light). Then the drywallers came in the next week to start on the walls. They were very good! They went around all our duct work like it wasn't even there. There spackling and sanding took a total of three days and they were done. The culvert mount was put in outside. Overall, I give them an A. They did a great job. The drywallers didn't get my house and steps dirty. They were very clean! All very personable people to work with. They know what they are doing! Well worth it!
Description of Work: Edwards/LaPlant came in to remodel our downstairs basement bedroom. We had severe flooding into our basement with 2 inches of water. We had to gut out porions of the sheetrock walls that were covered in mold, and dry everything out before the work could begin. We removed the bottom 2x4 floor stud due to serious mold buildup. Edwards/LaPlant came to do all the new placement of 2x4 floor studs, all new drywall, spackle, and sanding. They also placed a half culvert mount around the basement window where the water was coming in.

This project was massive, much more than I had ever anticipated. Ben Edwards (Edwards/Laplant Construction) exceeded my expectations of trust, professionalism and knowledge during the entire project. They were on budget and were honest and no hidden costs. From start to finish, they were top notch. So much that I have contracted them to redo my roof in the spring.
Description of Work: Ben Edwards, owner of Edwards/Laplant Construction was there for me from the start. My family experienced water damage from one of our upstairs toilets. Immediately I called Ben to ask him what to do. He was on vacation with his family but gave me a number and told me to call a local cleaning company, Filthy Clean. Filthy clean advised me to contact my insurance company. Ben, Tom from Filthy Clean and the insurance adjuster met at my house to assess the damage and determine what needed to be done. All three gentleman educated me of the damages that water can cause. One week from the time of damage, Edwards/Laplant began demolition of the immediate attention areas to expose the wood to dry. During the demolition (which could have been devastating) Ben and his workers reassured my wife and I every step of the way. The home is older, built in two stages from 1940's - 1960. It was well built but code and structure guidelines have changed much since then. Ben and company did not cut corners and I honestly feel took pride and acted as if the home was as precious to them as it is to my family. Probably most important to me... I frequently stopped by the house on my lunch break (we could not live in the house) and the workers always welcomed me and didn't act as if I was bothering them. They were always open to me asking questions and often explained what they had done during the day.
