Description of Work: Carl came out to service/tune up my furnace which is 25 years old. He was very thorough and was educating me as he was going through the process. He informed me the fan switch was stuck, advised that the blower motor was leaking oil and the heater is showing signs of fatigue. Carl then looked at my air conditioner (at my request) and gave me a rough estimate on replacement of one or both items. We set up an appointment with Steve to get a better estimate for a furnace and air conditioner. | |Steve came out on 5/27 for a more thorough estimate. He was also very informative and professional. I'm now in the process of getting a couple more estimates for comparison, but I'm very confident this company would do a great job.

Description of Work: I am a preferred client at Total Comfort. That means I have them check my furnace/air conditioner and water heater once a year every year. I have done this for 10+ years. They installed my furnace and air conditioner and my water heater about 5 years ago. The maintenance is in the fall and spring and costs about $400 per year. They are always on time and call before coming. They are friendly and answer my questions. They suggest other products but do not pressure purchases.

Description of Work: We use them regularly and it has turned out well. They come twice a year to service out furnace and air conditioner. They also tend to any repairs needed.

Description of Work: I selected Total Comfort for heating and cooling services from a recommendation on Angie's List. One of their first visits, in 2006, cost me a new furnace, water heater and AC. I then joined their Perferred Client group and have been charged $20 a month, or $120, for each biyearly visit from a service man. Some spending their time on a cell phone, others appearing to work on my equipment. This year the AC was to be serviced and the hose was never used. I had carpel tunnel surgery late June. As my wound was healing and as the outside temperature rose, I turned on my AC and it didn't work. I was to keep the wound dry, but couldn't as I was sweating profusely. I call for a repairman, who filled the AC unit with freon and it worked so I paid $200+ for this repair or $320 to jump start my AC. I asked for the same repairman to return to do my furnace. He was not sent. The repairman sent did not change my filter or retabulate my thermostat as I asked. I sent a letter on October 5, canceling my account. When I called to check on October 24th they had never received it so I resent it on October 25th.
