There were some communication hic-ups but over all things got worked out and the chimney looks good. John and Cathleen were helpful and very nice.

I am satisfied with their service so far and I would use them again.

I hadn't had my chimney cleaned in a number of years. Last winter, I noticed leakage around the chimney in the garage and KNEW I needed it checked. I researched a number of companies on Angie's List and decided to call a couple. When I called London Chimney, I got a good sense that they would be a good choice. So, I called and made an appointment. The technician (Derick?) arrived on time on the day of the appointment, We talked a bit about my fireplace use and what I wanted. He told me that, depending on the condition of the chimney, he would do an inspection, at least, or clean if needed. Then, he went to work. After a review, he stated that the chimney needed cleaning, which did not surprise me, knowing that the chimney hadn't been cleaned recently. He cleaned the chimney and, while cleaning, saw that the damper handle was not properly connected. He fixed it, without any additional cost. After cleaning up, he took me outside and showed me that the flashing on the chimney was rusted and needed repair, which explained the leakage. He showed me that the neighbor's chimney flashing was properly installed. He provided an estimate to fix (Approx. $700.00) and, since it was winter and cold, told me it could not be properly repaired now,. He suggested to contact them in warmer weather to get the flashing repaired. he provided a write-up of the work and we settled up the bill. The technician, though young, was professional and courteous. Based on this experience, I would use them again and recommend them to others. They will be my first choice, when it comes to fixing the flashing.

They were thorough and careful. They took care to prevent a mess and cleaned up everything inside and out perfectly. We chose them from Angie's List and were happy with all results. Price was very reasonable for amount of work.

It was a very good experience and very transparent to me. The people who owned the home then let London Chimney in to inspect and clean three chimneys. I contacted the company a day later and they emailed me the invoice. A few days later, I called to pay the bill and spoke with the technician who was very friendly and informative. After buying the house, I took a look around the fireplaces and they were very clean. London did not leave any mess or dust. Finally, the company had the most reasonable pricing and flexibility when I called around. I will be using them again in a few years when I need another cleaning.

Went well. The crew was friendly and helpful. Very good to work with. John was very helpful in scheduling the work to fit my time frame.

John was very friendly and professional in the manner in which he worked on our project. The entire inside room area was kept clean while he was working on the fireplace. He explained the condition of the chimney, flue and fireplace and gave suggestions for future maintenance. We will certainly use his services when our chimney requires cleaning in the future.

Great work. Truly happy with the result. The chimney looks excellent. The work was done quickly and after it was done, there was no mess left in the yard.

London Chimney Sweeps did a nice job. They were on time and very professional.

Overall, a good experience, But, I will say that we haven't yet received the estimate for the work to replace the liner, which we were told we would receive. This delay makes us hesitant to consider this company for the actual work to replace the chimney liner.

I originally called London Chimney Sweeps to get them to inspect my fireplaces, which had a strange gas lighter to light the wood. I asked if they would be able to look at the gas apparatus, and they said they would. When they arrived, their person told me they don't do anything with gas and I'd have to have the gas company looked at it. This was disappointing, as the gas apparatus was the main reason I had called them out in the first place. They did an inspection of one chimney and told me it did not need to be cleaned. The other one had a few birds' nests in it, so they cleaned it out. I was previously told over the phone that the inspection would involve a camera being sent down the chimney, but once they arrived I was told that was an extra charge. The amounts I was charged seemed to be higher than the ones I was quoted over the phone, but I could not verify this as I made the mistake of not writing down the prices they quoted to me over the phone.

They arrived on time (I did not!) and got to work right away. John answered all my questions. His assistant, Derek, was newly certified and very helpful and eager to do the work well. There was one MINOR issue of the level for the new damper being installed slightly too high, so that you have to put your hand up inside the flue to pull the handle off the lever, and while it would have been nice to have it a little lower, it was not a huge deal for us. Everything was cleaned up and no trace of soot or dirt. They also suggested taking the old style glass door off both sides of the double to open up the room more, and they did this work without an extra charge. Very good experience over all.

Was able to get a next-day appointment over the phone. Inspector was there on time, and let me watch the entire inspection. He took pictures of the condition of the inside of the chimney that we were able to use in negotiating with the seller. He was also very careful to be respectful of the seller's home and to leave everything clean. He clearly explained any problems, and gave an estimate on the spot that we were again able to use in negotiating with the seller.

I referred London Chimney Sweeps to a neighbor whose stucco chimney was badly cracked and chipped after a severe wind and hail storm hit our neighborhood in 2008. John and the London Chimney Sweeps team gave him options of stucco, brick or stone. My neighbor choose stone. John hand-selected the stones and installed them. The new stone chimney is beautiful--I see it every day. My neighbor is delighted with the craftsmanship and installation. I highly recommend London Chimney Sweeps for fireplace and chimney cleaning, repairs and new installations. Their work is excellent!

We liked working with John. He was very knowledgeable and we felt fairly priced for the large amount of attention the chimney needed. There were a few little bumps in the road. We had to wait about a week to get the tuck-pointing finished as they did three of the sides, but not the fourth. In the meantime they left a ladder and tools behind. Since we were not in any hurry, we were fine with this. We've just decided to hire him again to do significant work on our rental home. We were very happy with the quality of the work and the solutions he came up with for caping the chimneys. This was difficult because of the odd set up of this particular chimney.

This company called me right back and made the appointment. He was a little bit late but called to tell me that he was running behind schedule. He did a great job on the chimneys, and was very clean and made sure that everything was kept safe. He let me know everything that he was doing. He did a great job and even swept from the top and bottom. This was an all around good experience.

Tim and James stopped to give estimate upon my request when I met them doing work in the neighborhood on a chimney. They then did my repair which was very satisfactory and were very nice capable men with whom to work. They were prompt, courteous and kept to original estimate.

I felt that their rates were fair. The work was done promptly.

Originally, on the first visit, the second person that was supposed to help John did not show up. Because of that, when the insert was removed, it was left right outside the door on our deck. We then had to move it ourselves and dispose of it. Other than that, John was polite, and we feel did a good job. It was a three visit job. In checking with other companies, London Chimney Sweeps was one of the most reasonable.

THE JOB WAS DONE FAIRLY QUICKLY AND THE HOUSE WAS LEFT PERFECTLY CLEAN. HE ALSO GAVE ME SOME GOOD ADVICE ABOUT THE FLUE LINER AND THE ASH DUMP. I WAS EXPECTING HIM TO ALSO CLIMB ON THE ROOF AND INSPECT THE CHIMNEY CAP BUT HE DIDN'T DO THAT. THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE.

THEY ARRIVED EXACTLY ON TIME AND GOT TO WORK IMMEDIATELY. THEY PLACED PLASTIC OVER THE ENTIRE LIVING ROOM AND LEFT VERY LITTLE TRACE OF ANYTHING BEHIND. VERY NICE WORK.

WORKER SHOWED UP ON TIME, DID A GOOD JOB CLEANING THE FIREBOX AND FIREPLACE CHIMNEY BUT DIDN'T TAKE CARE OF THE FURNACE SIDE OF THE CHIMNEY WELL ENOUGH. LEFT BEHIND SOME GEAR AND A BIT OF A MESS BUT NOTHING TOO BAD. ALL IN ALL THOUGH, I THINK I GOT FAIR WORK FOR A FAIR PRICE. LONDON CHIMNEY SWEEPS DID DO THE WORK FOR CONSIDERABLY LESS THAN OTHER COMPANIES AND WAS ABLE TO GET OUT MUCH MORE QUICKLY THAN OTHERS.

I HAD THEM OUT ON A SPECIAL WHERE THEY WOULD CLEAN AND DO TUCK POINTING. WHEN I OPENED THE DAMPER, SOOT CAME OUT ALL OVER ME. ALSO, WHEN THEY WERE DOING THE TUCK POINTING THEY LEFT PINK MORTAR ON THE SIDE OF MY HOUSE, WHICH I FIND UNACCEPTABLE. THEY ALSO TORE UP THE AIR CONDITIONER COVER AND HAVE MORTAR IN THE AIR CONDITIONER. I TOLD THEM ABOUT THE DAMAGE AND THEY DID NOTHING ABOUT IT.

VERY ENTHUSIASTIC AND THOROUGH. PROVIDED A LOT OF INTERESTING ADDITIONAL INFO. WONDERFUL SERVICE, HONEST REPORT, BID, AND SERVICE, AND A LOT OF FUN TO WORK WITH. I FELT LIKE I GOT A VERY GOOD DEAL FROM A PROFESSIONAL WHO REALLY ENJOYS CHIMNEYS AND FIREPLACES.

VERY SATISFIED WITH WORK AND COMPANY. THESE ARE A GOOD BUNCH OF GUYS WHO WON''T STICK YOU ON THE PRICE OR QUALITY OF WORK. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
