Phil and London Chimney were great. They were delayed due to a longer job but called and told me that so I was not surprised. I was happy with their work and glad they suggested the waterproofing since I have Chicago brick which does not appear to be extremely durable.

The man arrived on time. He fixed the damper and inspected the flue. He was very professional. I would recommend London to my friends.

I was very impressed. We are in a new house - so this was the first inspection. So I was planning on getting the full camera inspection. The chimney is in pretty bad shape, that it really wasn't necessary to add the cost of the camera inspection. I was totally planning on paying it - but they saved me another $250 by being honest. To top it all off, the technician while on the roof, noticed something wrong with our plumbing vents and fixed that FOR FREE. Finally, while doing the inspection - and cleaning - he was really careful to keep our house very clean. He obviously had all of the right (very nice) tools for the job. And was very professional throughout the job.

One of the London repairmen did the repair work, then the owner came & inspected the job. Jack London climbed up on the roof & took photos of the new work. He made sure we were happy with the repairs. Everyone from the office secretary to the owner has been very professional. They do a great follow up,too. My husband & I would highly recommend this company!

London came out to clean and inspect the chimney of a recently purchased home. At purchase our inspector suggested that we have the chimney cleaned and inspected prior to use. London came out and cleaned and inspected the chimney, upon completion London suggested that we not use the chimney for fear of burning our home down due to many severe cracks in the flu. Immediately after informing us of our chimney situation they came to the rescue and offered to install a brand new chimney liner for the best price in town.... Because of this, I became suspect and requested that they provide me with the video of the inspection so I could see for myself. They sent me pictures, however, there was no way for me to know if the pictures were from my chimney or not. I asked for the video or something else that would prove that my chimney actually needed a new liner, their response, 'the video is too large to email you'. I offered to go pick up the video and they responded telling me that the video had been destroyed. Rather than hiring London to install a new flu I decided to get a second opinion. The second company came out and inspected my chimney, not knowing about my London experience, and told me that my firebox and flu were in great condition and I would have nothing to worry about. The second company didnt upsell me anything and signed off on their inspection. My wife, still a bit concerned due to the scare tactics used by London that she wanted a third inspection. That third inspection happened today and to no surprise this company also signed off on a sound chimney and firebox. After confirming my suspicion following my third inspection today, I sent John Cordes and Cathleen at London an email expressing my frustration with their practice and within three hours I received a phone call from an irate John Cordes using expletive after expletive telling me that I should be ashamed and that he can prove I need a flu.... I asked him to provide the video and told him that I had received multiple inspections... He would hardly let me talk. I finally had to hang up on him. After $800 in inspections I feel good about my chimney. What I do not feel good about is how many people Mr Codes has taken advantage of. I will say that Cathleen was very helpful and responsive in my communication both prior to the service and after when I was asking for the video... She did ultimately turn me over to John once I started asking for the video and he basically told me I was crazy for not believing him. Lesson learned, never buy a solution from one who has created a problem.

Terrific service! Workers were very professional and personable. Explained everything, answered all of my questions honestly. They suggested another service but never pressured me. They just brought it up and never put me on the spot, just provided info and left it at that.

Submitted request for service through their website. Received a call back within 2 days to explain the process in more detail and to schedule the appointment. Derek arrived on time and performed the job quickly and professionally. Explained the best way to start a fire and care for our fireplace, as this is the first home with a fireplace we have lived in. Will be sure to use London Chimney in the future.

Performed as expected. Thorough clean-up. Provided advice and status as the job progressed. No longer experiencing severe winter ice dams as before, draftiness and stuffiness in winters and summers are under control. Heating and A/C bills also.

I had London Chimney clean and inspect the chimney in my new house last fall, and at the time they indicated that the chimney from the roof on up was deteriorating and the cap was badly cracked. So, I contacted them to make the repairs to the chimney in the spring, and they contacted me as soon as it was possible to complete the job. The crew was professional and cleaned up the area after their work--including coming inside to clean out the debris that had falled down the chimney during the installation. I was happy with how the job turned out, and I will continue to be a customer of London Chimney for regular cleanings.

The owner came by and went up on the roof and took pictures of the chimney. He then shared those pictures with me. The chimney was in even worse shape than we had thought. I asked for a quote and he gave me one that I agreed to. The understanding was that we would schedule a date after the snow was gone and the temperature somewhat better. A couple of weeks went by. We had not set a date for the work yet due to the extended winter. On one of the first nice days (a Sunday) the owner callled and asked if I was interested in getting the work done that day. I took advantage of the offer and shortly the workers arrived and began work. They finished in the early afternoon, cleaned up, and left with the promise they would return to install the cap. The cap was installed less than two weeks later. One more thing I can cross off the list of things to be done.

I don't remember how much I paid but it was a very good price compared to the other ones that we checked with. The technician was very conscientious. He also made the deal like they always do, it's not the company, it's the people. Their work is excellent.

He was very good. He used a camera to look at the chimney. He gave me the "all clear" to go ahead and use my chimney.

The service from London Chimney Sweeps went above and beyond the call. Not only did they perform their difficult service as I believe our chimney had not been services in ten years but they also inspect our chimney and made small and needed repairs and provided exceptional advice for future considerations. They gave us the all go ahead for fireplace use. We will have them back for future brick repair for an aged chimney. Thank you London for your great work!

I called London Chimney Sweeps because they had installed a stainless liner in one of my two chimneys last year. I asked for a cleaning and camera inspection of my second chimney. (The house has been rented for two years and I was not sure how much use the second fireplace had received.) They were able to come the day after I called, arriving 20 minutes early. After looking at the chimney, he said it was already clean and did not need further cleaning. So, he just charged me for the camera inspection. The result of the camera inspection was that the chimney was in excellent condition (and I would have believed anything). I think this company has the greatest professional ethics.

They were down in a half an hour.

Tech was on time, polite, and knew his stuff. Inspection and cleaning of several fireplaces done in a pro and clean manner. Lowered actual price from quoted price because chimneys were cleaner than expected. Would use again; focused on the job with no annoying up-selling.

I contacted London Chimney Sweeps after repeated issues scheduling some fireplace and chimney repair work through another company. London Chimney Sweeps scheduled someone to come out quickly, the technician was prompt and completed the work quickly at the low end of the range provided over the phone. They were a pleasure to work with, especially after spending 3 different days waiting for the technician from the other company. I will definitely use London Chimney Sweeps again for future fireplace and chimney work.

I was having repeated problems with my boiler and a Minnegasco service tech told me that my chimney was likely blocked. Upon learning that I didn't have heat, John gave up his day off to come and check out my chimney. He climbed my very steep roof and did a thorough check. (Turned out that the chimney wasn't blocked and the boiler problem was due to a faulty electrical relay, but that's another story.) John and Kathleen were both great. I highly, highly recommend London Chimney Sweeps.

London chimney inspected the liner a few years ago and deemed it unsafe for use due to liner cracks. After one winter without a fireplace we had John, the owner, come out and give an estimate for a new liner. He was quick and courteous, and the bid was half that of other bids. Works was also stared within the week and finished a week after the bid was done. Fireplace works great, very happy with their work.

Derek was prompt and professional. He completed his work and took time to explain to me his findings from the inspection. Derek was also certain to put down proper protection for the floor and cleaned up after he finished his work. He also took photos of my chimney on the roof as I had requested an estimate for repair work on the chimney, from which they then contacted me the next day with an estimate for the repair work. I haven't had the work done yet, but I will likely contact London Chimney do the repair work this spring.

No problem scheduling an appointment. Chimney sweep was on-time and very professional. Floor around fireplace was covered and cleaned up when he finished. He explained what he was seeing when he did the camera inpsection. I rent, so there was no sales pitch for any additional services. I am very satisfied with the job they did.

We had been having some smoke problems in our fireplace. A technician came, inspected the chimney with a video camera, and cleaned the fireplace flue. He found substantial problems in the crown of the chimney and substantial damage in the flue to the wood stove in the basement. The smoking problem was caused by the lack of a cap on the fireplace flue. We decided to abandon the flue to the wood stove. About a week later another technician came and made the repairs. The smoke problems seem to be gone.

The report was very thorough and the technician explained the chimney situation very well. However, we were supposed to get a follow up report and we had to keep asking for it. In the end we never got it. However, we did have them come back in and seal off the chimney. That seemed to go well. So, overall we think they did a good job but never got the written report of the assessment.

The called ahead of time to set up an appointment time. They were very accommodating and arrived on time. They knew what they were talking about and answered all my questions. They were very nice and I would recommend them to someone else.
