Description of Work: Cleared clogged kitchen sink and put chemical down to prevent future problems. He was flexible work my time needs and willing to Bill me since I was our if town and had a house sitter.

Description of Work: Kens plumbing came out and replaced a union that did not need to be replaced.

Description of Work: nothing. Never heard from him.

Description of Work: He performed several bathroom repairs. He fixed several sink plungers and replaced a tub drain.

Description of Work: He did plumbing work for us.

Description of Work: He came when our basement drain was clogged and he cleaned it out.

Description of Work: The owner (Ken) is great with regard to responsiveness, punctuality, pleasantness, and overall following thru with his commitments. We found that his apprentice, though good at calling ahead and being there as promised, was not as pleasant and, at times, a bit condescending, specifically concerning some of the materials that we supplied. We purchased the toilet and fixtures that Ken had suggested, but his apprentice virtually scolded my wife for not buying the right ones. Other than that, the work was professionally done and they both cleaned up the work areas before leaving. I would definitely recommend Ken for any plumbing job, his apprentice has a few things to learn about working with the customers.

Description of Work: I have used Ken's Plumbing for several years, and there is a reason I keep calling them back. They do a great job. One of my biggest complaints with contractors is that they rarely show up on time -- Ken's Plumbing is the exception. They show up on time, do a good job, and always clea up any messes as a result of their work. Recently, my sump pump failed -- I could do that work myself, but I had a mess to deal with and was a little over-whelmed. I called Ken -- it was 6:15 (afer hours, I figured). He said "No problem -- we'll be right there." His van was in my driveway in under 5 minutes -- though I should clarify that he only lives 4 blocks from me, but honestly -- 5 minutes?? And within 30 minutes of my phone call, my new sump pump was installed, and I was writing him a check. I have recommended Ken's Plumbing to friends in the past, and my wife has made comments like, "You'd think he walks on water -- he's just s plumber." But since then, she is telling people, "He's right -- Ken's Plumbing showed up faster than 911." I rated them as straight A's, except on price -- I gave them a B there. It has been years since I used anyone else, but I do feel that they are slightly on the high side; however, in my mind, I might be able to find someone a little cheaper, but I'm willing to pay extra for quality service.

Description of Work: We have used Ken's plumbing several times. This time our hot water heater died. He came right over when I called, assessed the situation, and installed a new energy efficient hot water heater. He knew what to get. Ken is always very professional, neat, and does good work. We have used him several times over the years.

Description of Work: Fixed a leak in a water pipe. Turned out to be two and they took care of both.

Description of Work: Ken always come when we have a problem. It could be a plugged drain, a non functioning toilet. The last time we had him come was in the height of the flood of 2009 and he helped us get the basement drains plugged and toilet removed in anticipation of a sanitary sewer failure. He also helped us get a neighbor's house ready. We were watching his home while he was out of town and his sump pump had failed. Ken installed a new one and to make matters worse the weather was terrible. He even dug a trench through the snow for the sump pump hose. Ken always cleans really well when he is done.
