Through an accident, I destroyed a beautiful kitchen cabinet door. I called Handy Rite. They offered to repair the broken door or create a new door that matched the set. I chose the latter. They went completely beyond my expectations an created a match identical to my set. They were pleasant, friendly and professional and concerned that I got their best effort. I highly recommend this company.

Ben was great and his work was excellent. I will definitely have me do more handy work in our home and recommend him to family and friends.

It was great, it actually was less than the quote. He did a super job, it was tricky with piping under there, but he handled everything perfectly and it is beautiful again.

Ben did an excellent job for us - it came out super. He was dependable and worked on a regular basis. The job was completed in the time frame he estimated. Ben did an AMAZING, high quality job. The kitchen tile project was to tile the wall under the kitchen cabinets, along the side and above my cabinets using travertine subway tiles. Since the tile I chose was a thick tile, Ben chose to hand grout the wall to be sure it looked good. Some of the tiles needed to be beveled to match the other tiles, so Ben hand beveled the edges. The job took quite a bit longer than Ben had estimated, but he did not charge a penny more than his original estimate. There wasn't a minute past the estimated time that I felt like he was in a hurry to finish and get out. He was very meticulous with every single tile put on my wall and I am extremely happy with the results. There was one day of the four days he was at my house that he didn't show up when he expected, but he sent me a text to let me know he was going to be half an hour later than expected. He cleaned up my kitchen and garage really well when finished and even offered to take a piece of plywood and a door from me to be thrown out free of charge! I will not hesitate to call Handy Rite again for future projects.

I am already looking for new projects for Ben to do! Very pleasant and professional. We reviewed the few things that I needed done and I left for work. Jobs completed and the areas totally cleaned - would not have known that anyone was there. Will definitely be using Handy Rite again --- their card has a place of honor on the refrigerator.

I needed a pet door installed and I'm so glad that I chose Handy Rite. Due to their backlog Ben was scheduled to come out in 2 weeks. However there was a cancellation and Staci called me asking if he could come this week instead. How often do you have someone reschedule for an earlier date...not often. Ben showed up on time, was very friendly, professional, and discussed what he would be doing. The pet door didn't fit snuggly between the exterior door panels but Ben made sure to seal with caulk to keep the weather out. When he finished he was meticulous with the clean up. Not only did he do a great job with the install he helped me chase a chipmunk, who snuck in through another door, out of my house. I whole heartedly recommend and will definitely use Handy Rite again. Thanks! Amy

Ben is the complete professional. He is prompt, courteous, respectful, a great listener, highly competent, creative, a great user of time, extremely well organized......you get the picture. For example, on the shade cord issue, he got on the Internet and watched a YouTube video to learn how the cord worked. Then he found a supplier in our area, procured a new cord and installed it perfectly. It would have cost us much more to have the shade company come out and do this repair. We asked him to retrofit a cabinet with some peculiar, frustrating features. Two previous handymen had told us to forget about it. Ben figured out how to do what we wanted and got it done in very little time. The closet now works beautifully. In fact, everything he did for us met or exceeded our expectations and the price was very reasonable for the time and work he put in. We have been searching for someone like Ben for years, and now our search is finally over! Fortunately, Ben is much younger than we are, so we are confident that we now have someone we can call upon "for the duration":-). Thank you Ben, and thank you Angie's List!!

All work was performed as described and in a timely manner. Ben informed us before starting the ceiling work that it wouldn't be 'perfect' if the entire grid was not replaced as well, but we were okay with that and appreciated the heads up. The bathroom door that we had replaced was a typical hollow door. It was not pre-hung in a frame and it did not have the hole drilled for the doorknob. We stained the door the night before and he installed it perfectly! We will definitely use Ben again for projects around the house.

Had problems getting someone who would take care of wood rot on second floor. They came out and did the job which was more important as my house is on market. Guy was super nice and did a really good job. Family owned and owner takes pride in quality of service they provide. Am real estate agent and actually posted on Facebook a referral (with disclaimer to do your own due diligence) but will definitely be on top of my list of referrals for my clients looking for a handy man. Only recommend people I have used that have a history of above average service to customers. In all fairness the worker did overcharge a bit on labor and I do manage the time clock. Owners worked with me to resolve.

There are not enough good words to describe how satisfied we are with Handy Rite and Ben. Our latest project was a basement remodel. Ben's professionalism and workmanship is the BEST. When sub contractors were needed he made sure the crew he used had the same level of professionalism and workmanship that matched his own quality. We would recommend HR for any type of job you need. Making arrangements for an estimate went well through Stacey , who was polite. Ben arrived on time and we reviewed the work/repairs. My list: 1. Repaint 8 outdoor plastic window shutters, paint outdoor front step wrought iron white (from black), and replace loose wrought iron rail for 3 steps. His estimate Cost: $1880.00 2. Fix screen that was loose in the corner. Not tore or with holes, just needed to be put back in the track in the corner. He explained he would need to replace the whole screen. His estimate: $90.00 3. Peel and stick my vinyl tiles on bathroom floor 9 1/2 ft x 5 1/2 ft: His estimate $840.00 Total : $2810.00 (I almost had a heart attack, I could not write a review with sane mind until now) Handy Rite is Handy Wrong in my opinion, although they can charge what they want-no contest and could likely do good work. I previously used handyman services to save $$$ but not anymore, I now use professionals in their line of work and have found it's much cheaper and no compromising the job. I am among the working poor trying to take care of my home and feel this company obviously doesn't need business. Here's what happened: 1. New Window shutter cost: Champion Window/door company charges $89.00 per pair installed. <$400.00. My son repainted the black wrought iron in 90 min, the enamel paint cost: $25.00, and he simply removed the loose rail, with no replacement. My cost: $385.00 2. Champion Door man took a tool out of his pocket while talking on his phone in my yard and simple re-tracked my screen in less than 3 min-not taking the screen out of the window or anything. He fixed my window because he noticed the screen was loose and "hope" I "didn't mind". He was here to install new exterior doors. I was thrilled he fixed it "for free" and done by a professional door/window man-not handyman-whose estimate was $90.00 when he works for $60.00/ hour. 3. I called upon a Professional floor business "Custom Floor", to provide an estimate for my kitchen floor and ask what the charge would be extra to put in the vinyl tiles in my bathroom. Price: $400.00 and a quality job will be done by professionals in the business-not a handyman.

This is the second time I've used Ben and he is great. He came to the house, went through the items that I wanted completed and then went up to Menards to get the items. He even called to confirm that I wanted the two door knobs to have the same key. Very thorough, fast and friendly. I will definitely hire Ben again in the future.

It was totally fixed. He is punctual. The only thing is that he is backed up always.
