Description of Work: Tim Johnson took a bedroom blind (Hunter Douglas) to be fixed, well over a year ago. I called him a month later and asked when he would deliver the repaired blind. He said he was waiting to get info on a new line of blinds that we may be interested in and would call me back soon. I have not heard from Tim in over a year now. It appears his business has dissolved. I cannot track him down via phone, e-mail, or address. He seemed like a business person I could trust.

+ -1 moreWe had worked with Tim at AG Blinds previously, and things went well the first go-around. We paid him a large-ish sum of money, and he delivered. There were even a couple of manufacturing flaws, and he went back to the manufacturer and had new blinds send immediately. He also honored a Crowd Cut (or Groupon or something) coupon. We got good value and good service. So, we decided to go back with a second order. But this time, Tim took our order, said he would charge us a portion at the time of the order and a portion at the time the blinds were delivered. He charged our card for the full amount about 10 days later, then fell off the grid completely. I couldn't get in touch with him for months and months, despite phone calls, emails, and text messages every so often. When I did finally hear from him (briefly, by text), he informed me that he "shut his business down," and that he would send me a refund or get the blinds delivered to me. He didn't. I continued in efforts to follow up, but he had gone "dark" again. I still haven't heard a word from him. In fact, in trying to find him and get a refund (or the blinds, for Pete's sake! I just want some blinds!!!), I learned that the manufacturer (Hunter Douglas) had terminated its business relationship with him 3 months before he "sold" us the blinds. It would have been impossible for him to fill the order in September 2014 with Hunter Douglas because they had ceased doing business with him. Honestly, I hate to over-react, but that's fraud. He's a liar, a cheat, and a thief. And, in case it wasn't clear by now, I wouldn't recommend working with him to anyone, ever, for any reason at all (obviously).
Description of Work: Bid (and charged us) for new window coverings on 2 windows (that he never delivered).

Description of Work: I purchased blinds for 2 rooms.very courteous and professional, very knowledgeable about products and rebates available. Very accommodating of my needs and schedule.only negative is that I ended up buying a type of shade (top down, bottom up) for one room that really wasn't necessary or useful for the size of window. My fault for not realizing ,but they probably should have recommended the more traditional type for that room.

+ -1 moreTim was excellent when it came to helping me pick the right color and type of shade for each room. I encountered a problem with one of the Lite-Rise mechanisms and Tim made sure that Hunter Douglas replaced the mechanism so that it would work properly. He made sure that each shade was level and worked correctly.
Description of Work: Purchased ten Hunter Douglas Duettes of various sizes from Tim Johnson. Received 35% discount and installation was free. Received $200 in rebates from Hunter Douglas for purchasing Architella type shades.
