+ -1 moreWe had received 3 outrageously high bids from Angie's List contractors that we weren't happy about, so we asked the tile store (which was going to supply our materials) to recommend a contractor. Ray Nichols was recommended and subsequently provided us with a quote, which we thought was extremely good value for money! We were also impressed that he did an apprenticeship and had been a commercial contractor for many years. Ray was willing and happy to let us do some work in order to reduce down our price. For instance we did the demolition, were able to help Ray with some durock preparation and sealed/enhanced the tile. Ray did all the tile work including setting the floors, putting in our shower base (and sealing), installing a recessed shampoo holder, a seat, soap holders, corner shelves and listellos, plus all the grouting and caulking. He also provided advice on tile selection and location of listellos, soap holders and seats.
Description of Work: Prepared and tiled two bathroom floors and shower area using Travertine stone.
