It didn't. Apparently they were not interested in doing the job.
Description of Work: The tiler came out to my residence to give me an estimate on tiling my bathroom. I called him twice after he came out to obtain a quote and never heard back from him.

The remodeling project went extremely well. Originally I had planned only to have new floors in the kitchen, bathroom, dining room, hallway and foyer; also new countertops in the bathrooms and kitchen, with a new backsplash in the kitchen. New sinks were planned for the kitchen and bathrooms as well. I had many other things on my and lsquo;wish list' depending on the cost and ability of those doing the work. I had a good recommendation for the work by a friend, who indicated that Mike did excellent work, being a perfectionist. Mike came over to the house, I told him what I had in mind to have done. He gave some ideas on the type of wood flooring to use, and also let me know that he could do most anything that I wanted done. Mike had very good suggestions from the tile to the type and color of the hardwood flooring. I came to depend on his opinions and ideas. Since I wanted to keep the kitchen faucet I already had (it was not that old), and it was a satin nickel finish, Mike suggested the knobs for the drawers and cupboards also be the same color/material. I hadn't thought of that and would have picked out something different, regretting it later that I didn't choose something that would have provided some consistency in finish and color. I had expressed a desire to see something at the top of my cupboards since they had always appeared unfinished. Josh (who works with Mike) installed a crown which he had finished around the upper cabinets that looks wonderful. At the bottom of the lower cupboards an oak toe kick stained to match the cupboards was installed. All of these things gave the kitchen a more finished look. Along with the new countertop, backsplash and floor, the kitchen has a whole new look. In the bathrooms, Mike did an especially nice job with the tile around the tub and the shower, creating a nicely framed square inset area in each that will hold shampoo, etc. In this area he used mosaic tile that matched the other tile. Both bathrooms look beautiful and I couldn't be happier. The stairs themselves are solid oak, beautifully finished and having several coats of polyurethane on them. Mike did an exceptional job on the stairs. He had a solution for every problem area. I don't know many details but he needed to be creative when it came to installing them, as the skirt board didn't come down all the way to the steps since the carpet covered some of this area. Also the skirt board was damaged a bit, somehow Mike made it look like new. Also he did some touchup on the rail and the post. Mike and Josh installed solid oak flooring in the dining room, kitchen and down the hallway toward the bedrooms. The same great care was taken with installing the oak flooring. The hardwood floor had to extend a bit into the living room, below some shelves. This area was very nicely done by Josh, with a unique edge that was created for the situation at the baseboard. Prior to the installation of the kitchen countertops, Mike took off the old countertop and installed some oak pieces to build up the countertop. The reason for this was that there wasn't much clearance for the dishwasher, and the oak floor would raise it higher than the old floor did. By installing the oak pieces there was plenty of room for the dishwasher's clearance under the new countertop. Since this oak piece showed, he stained and finished the oak pieces to match the cupboards. It looks great, and having the counter a bit higher than before is definitely a plus. Mike and Josh both did many extra things as well. Josh reset the wobbly banister in the living/dining area, putting it in place more securely. Both took great care in finishing everything down to the smallest detail, which included touching up the walls with paint where needed. Throughout the project Mike made sure that, even though things were a bit inconvenient in the house at times, we had what we needed in the evening after he had left. For example, at one point all the sinks (the bathrooms and the kitchen) had been dismantled since the new ones were coming the next day. Mike took the old master bathroom sink/countertop and temporarily installed them in the kitchen, connecting the plumbing. Also he made a spot for the coffeemaker to sit knowing that it was used in the morning. These things were very much appreciated. Mike is a hard worker with a lot of energy. He keeps going steadily throughout the day, desiring to get the work done timely. Mike does excellent work, being a perfectionist in everything he does. He is thoughtful of the smallest details. I trusted his judgment and welcomed his suggestions. Every day Mike explained what they were doing, where they are at and what comes next. Everything was cleaned up daily prior to their leaving. I can't say enough about the quality of the work and couldn't be happier with the outcome of this project. I will definitely call Mike with any future projects.
