Warren from Landscapes Plus arrived for the appointment with enthusiasm and professionalism. He listened to our feedback, took appropriate measurements and provided some perspectives on design. Within a week of our meeting, Warren provided 3D examples of our design and a detailed, itemized estimate of the work. When we decided to scale back some of our work, Warren responded with a revised estimate and phased approach that was thorough and competitively priced. In a close decision, we ultimately went with a local landscaper but I would not hesitate to contact Landscapes Plus again based on their professionalism, experience and price competitiveness.

The owner was very attentive during the boulder placement portion of the project, Once that wrapped up finishing the project seemed less "important" and was done in a rush without consulting us on changes or design. We had concerns about how water flow was directed with the first big rain after the project was finished (and final payment had been made). It took multiple calls to get any response and then it was only a "cosmetic fix" which did not correct the problem. In the 2 years since this project was completed the sprinkler system failed (the 2nd spring start-up after completion) - took 3 months to get any action on that-- after multiple calls with no call backs, and no-shows for 2 scheduled appointments with us he sent someone out to "fix"' the sprinkler- that person spent hours here then left on Fri. pm without fixing the sprinkler or telling us he hadn't fixed it . Again no calls back from the owner about when this would be taken care of. (we contacted another company 3 weeks later who subsequently identified the problem and had the system operational in 30 minutes!!!) Our main problem with the whole project is that although it looked great when it was completed there is no sustainability!!! The boulders are shifting and creating sink holes in multiple places, the water flow from rain running along the landscape edging has washed away the sand on our beach and the "rain garden" he claimed to have experience constructing is really just a big hole. The contouring of the slope in the yard was not done correctly to manage the flow of water and maintain the design. The initial quote for the project was comparable to other quotes we had gotten but the end result leaves us feeling that we were misled about the company's overall experience with this type of project, follow-up service has been horrible, and our yard which was constructed with a crane and multiple bobcats is already falling apart after only 2 years. We have since learned that although the owner claimed to be in contact with the city about his plan for our beach front area, (and referenced conversations he had with the city employee) he ignored information about the high water level when completing our project which has led to further damage to the beach front patio he installed We've sent a registered letter which was received by the owner, but again we received no response. Be wary of the pretty pictures of projects on his website!! We fear that the boulders in our yard will continue shifting as they have evey year and the dirt behind the boulders will in the next 2-3 years all run through the cracks onto the level below-- as it has already started doing creating the sink holes... we are now seeking professional assistance on how to stabilize this mess

They fixed the sprinkler but not the erosion. The quality was good overall and they completed it in a timely manner.
