Everything went great, it took about 15 or 20 minutes for him to clean the vent and the dryer works much better now.

Went well. Cleaned out a ton of lint. The opening was down to a very narrow circumference. Dangerous not to have cleaned out sooner.

Originally the call was for dryer vent cleaning. When the dryer was moved, it was noted that the ductwork for the dryer was the old vinyl kind. Not only was it not up to code, the tube was cracked and could have broken wide open at any time. The entire system was replaced from the dryer to a new cover on the opening.

Carl quoted me a price of $80-$150. This price was higher than everyone else we called, but they could do the job the soonest and they had a good rating on Angieslist. Carl sent out a tech who bid the job. I contacted them because my elderly in laws just didn't know what to do and didn't want to be taken advantage of. Well that ended up being the issue. While my mother in law was trying to work with an in home health nurse regarding my father in laws bladder Cancer, Carls Tech (which he has never given me his name) wrote up a bill for $695.72 for a $150 cleaning. While at the time, the vent was the least of her worries and my father in law was not in a mind to make decisions, my mother in law signed off on the bill. $695.72!!!!! Between the surgeries and hospital stay for weeks it was never discussed until I asked after 2 weeks how the cleaning went. My in laws had just stopped fighting about the incident and the way they were treated. While the tech was in the house and he thought everyone else was busy with the nurse, my mother in law heard him telling someone on the phone how "the guy that lives here was p****** all over the floor and everyone else is pre-occupied." As the son in law who found these jokers and my father in law who is paying the bill feels, we are disgusted at the price. My mother in law is just beside herself about the comments he was making. We all agree. Who makes fun of someone with cancer...in their own house!....while you're taking advantage of them!!!! After I found out about all this I called Carl. Here's a guy who said he has a lot of pride in his company and wants to do a good job. He assured me he would get to the bottom of it. Well he did. His response to all of this. Well, your mother in law signed off on the price. So there it is. I contacted the corporate office. They called me a liar when I told them the price he charged stating a new install wouldn't come close to that price. When I asked Carl about a new install, he said, "you're probably right, an entirely new system probably would have been cheaper." But why do something all new and better when it's cheaper....right? Not to mention, the vent needed to be cleaned and it got clean (for $695.72) the tech looked for every additional charge he could find, down to replacing the old dryer cover coming out of the house. A custom fit cap which matched their house, replaced by a $6 Menards cover, that is hideous, they charged $40 for. You make your own decision about this company. Carl returned call within 1 hour of leaving message. He was very pleasant & professional on the phone. He explaining the company and the process they would use to remove the lint that was blocking the vent line. He was able to schedule service for the next day morning which more than meet our expectations as the dryer was out of commission til the work was completed. He also noted a service item that could be done to improve the drying time of the dryer. He didn't press to do the repair himself, which was appreciated. I would recommend Carl and his firm to anyone needing this type of service.

-gave us clues on how to prolong the life of our dryer; -recommended that we replace a belt to extend the life...

Called and made an appt. about a week out right up to the Christmas weekend. He arrived on time and looked at the inside venting and dryer and went outside and checked out the venting outside. He then told me I should have the entire inside venting system replaced or at least the part that was expandable and couldn't be cleaned out and change out the outside vent to prevent cold air and the lint getting jammed under the flapper keeping it from closing all the way. These recommendations were no surprise to me. He told me he could do the work immediately and wrote up an estimate. For the amount of work he did the price was totally acceptable to me. He cleaned out the dryer, removed the old outside vent and caulk from the cinderblock wall and replaced it, caulked it and then cleaned out the inside vent pipe and replaced the flexible vent piping and reattached it all and taped it all really well. He had to move the dryer which I was leary about getting back in the same spot and being balanced, etc. He taped around the feet to make sure they got back to the same spot. He cleaned up after himself with his own shop vac and left the room spotless. All of this took less than two hours. I will definitely have them out once a year to keep the system clean. Very pleasant young man. Very pleasant experience.

We had them out and they did the work. They came, did the job and we were happy with it. I will use them again in the future if needed.

I called Dryer Vent Wizard asking for an estimate to have my dryer vent cleaned. Carl was very courteous and professional and explained that he was not able to give estimates without looking at the job as there are many variables involved. I could smell burning from my dryer a few days ago and was thinking it was my dryer that needed to be replaced. I did some online research and discovered that it could be lint buildup and since I bought my house a year ago and don't know the history of when and if the dryer vent was cleaned I decided to call and have the service done. Carl came out the very next morning. He was punctual and did a thorough job of explaining and showing me what the problem was. I was very fortunate as I actually had a fire in my dryer from the build of lint. He did not trying to sell me on anything that was not necessary. I was very impressed with the service and professionalism and love that their company focuses just on dryer vent cleaning. I highly recommend Carl and his company

We were very happy with the service. Carl called us the day before with an arrival window and he was running ahead of schedule so he arrived early. He explained everything fully and there were no surprises. I would definitely use this company again.

They did a nice job of doing the work and then returning it better than how they found it as far as cleanliness is concerned and made sure the system was sound. I had an Angie’s List special and I think it was $129. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

I originally called Dryer Vent Wizard for a standard dryer vent cleaning. When Carl arrived, he inspected the vent duct and showed me that ours was made of plastic. It was sagging from the weight of the built up lint and hanging from our unfinished basement's ceiling. It was not only ineffective, but a fire hazard as well. Our home inspector really should have noticed this, but apparently missed it. So I opted to have Carl install a new metal duct. My clothes dry in half the time! Very happy with their responsiveness, friendliness and professionalism.

They did a good job. They charged us about $100 for their services. They were on time but I wasn’t actually there the whole time. They just came out to do it and they did it. Their price was a little high, but it was worth it.

The work and professionalism was fine. The price was at his upper end since it was a 2nd story roof, putting it at $151. In Apple Valley there is a service call of $37 additional. Please note the $10 discount to Angie's List members and claim it. I had no idea there were such specialized tools for this business! Carl gives you a sticker to remind you of his company, and in our case it guarantees future service at $118 with no service call - he estimates this may be every 2 or 3 years with a vertical vent but only two adults in the house.

I was impressed by Carl's professionalism and attention to detail. He took the time to explain and solve all the issues with my dryer vent and left no mess behind. He was great to work with and I highly recommend his services.

The technician that came was extremely nice and professional. My husband is not exactly a handy man and neither of us knew anything about dryer vents so we didn't realize that ours was not working for a long time. They correctly diagnosed the problem, cleaned the vent and laundry space behind the dryer and showed me how to tell if it's doing its job in the future. Now the dryer works so much better. I wish I would have called them five years ago :) Overall a great job!

I first made contact with Carl, the owner, via his website. He was prompt in responding to my inquiries and followed up with a phone call asking me details of what I needed done and what me expectations were. Carl was very down-to-earth and let me know what options I had, and there was no sales pressure. He gave me time to think about it, and I called him back the same day asking for his service to come out and inspect what needed to be done. A few days later, Kevin, the installer, came to our home exactly on schedule and carefully inspected the work to be done. He walked me through the process and provided the cost for installation as well as other options for upgrading my system that met my household budget. I opted for installation of the dryer vent during the same visit. Kevin worked carefully and diligently drilling through a thick foundation that ended up being more involved than originally anticipated, but he got the work done with a smile on his face and I couldn't be more delighted with the end result!! I am now totally at peace knowing that I had a professional job done and my home now meets code and is safe. Without hesitation, I most definitely recommend Dryer Vent Wizard!

We had a dryer vent that was leaking air and lint into our basement, an appliance installation service was unable to get the vent sealed and recommended Carl and his team. We got off to a bit of a rough start as there was a mix up with the appointment I had scheduled, but after being notified of the mix-up, Carl came out right away and performed the service himself. The work was done quickly and the problem is solved.

We got the Angie's List Big Deal. They did a great job. They actually found a couple of errors that our regular electric company had overlooked. We are very satisfied with their work.

The owner came in and they were in and out. They did not waste time and they get my top ratings.

He arrived promptly, explained each and every step of the process, and went back up and performed an additional quality check. He also stopped and spoke with the building manager several times to explain why the dryer vents in our building were blocking and what potentially should be done to fix the problem (i.e. what type of dryer vent cover he would recommend that would alleviate the issue). Overall, I am very pleased with the service and the professionalism. Highly recommended!!
