Dryer Vent Wizard of St. Paul

All of a sudden dryer did not dry...got hot but did not dry...called this company and spoke with Carl. He said he had a guy in my area and within 2 hours Mark arrived. Very polite...booties on shoes to avoid carpet dirt...assessed the situation and had it cleaned in less than 20 minutes. It was really full of lint. went from 0 air flow to maximum and problem solved. He cleaned the site and was off. Very efficient service and I can highly recommend this company.

Overall excellent! The service tech, Mark, arrived and quickly got to work to check out my dryer and vent. My vent exits outside the back of the house under the deck, so to access it you need to unscrew a deck board, which Mark skillfully did and was awesome. He cleaned the vent from the outside and then showed me all the lint removed and how to exterior vent works in case I wanted to check or clean it periodically in the future. Then he neatly re-screwed down the deck board. After that he came back inside and vacuumed out the dryer itself. The whole cleaning took about an hour and was a professional, quality cleaning. Very pleased with the service and the company, this is my second time using them and they are just great!

Kevin arrived on time. We discussed what the problems were; how he would correct them, and then he produced an invoice giving the exact cost for the work getting my approval before he began the job. This included the price for the replacement part in addition to coupon price.. He checked out other vents to see if they were operating as they should. Was eager to give information and advice on the air systems in the house. He went way beyond what I expect from most technicians. An A++ service!!

This is the second time (and for a second home) I've hired them, and both times I've been immensely pleased. This time they not only cleaned out the vent but ended up completely replacing it for me (I just purchased an 80 year old home that needs some updates). I had them come out the day after I closed because I knew they were reliable and would be able to provide great recommendations. I would definitely hire them again, although after they finished they mentioned that I'll probably never need to call them again :)

The service went fine. I had used the company in the past. I had no problem scheduling the service and did that online. One technician came out and completed the work in about 40 minutes. They do a thorough job and are punctual.

In less than an hour Mike was able to replace the dryer vent connection to the outdoors and thoroughly clean the area around the dryer. We are very pleased with the excellent job! There was a minor billing issue, which was quickly resolved to our satisfaction. Thanks Mike and Carl!

The technician couldn't have done a better job. He was very personable, and explained what he was going to do and what he did clearly. He was very knowledgeable, and answered all our questions thoroughly, There is no more lint flying around the laundry, and less dust throughout the house! We will definitely use the services of Dryer Vent Wizard in the future.

The quality of the work was as expected. I thought he did a great job overall. Our dryer vent was very dirty (10 years of accumulated lint), and now our dryer performs as it did when we bought the house new. The only issue was that they gave us a 2 hour window, and he didn't show up until just before the 2 hours were up. I think a more accurate (maybe within 90 minutes) estimate of arrival time would make the experience perfect.

We have had issues with our dyer connection since we moved into our home many years ago. Several people have tried to fix it. We called Dryer Vent Wizard based on their reputation for being the best at dryer vent repairs. We were not disappointed. The experience was outstanding from the initial call made to the finished project. Carl Hein called us back immediately after my husband called. Michael came the next day and completely updated and enhanced the connection to the dryer which hadn't been right for 18 years. Michael was very professional and extremely knowledgeable about what he was doing. He also went up into the attic and confirmed the pipe was connected to the roof fixture properly. We will definitely have them come back to clean our dryer vent when we need it. We highly recommend Dryer Vent Wizard!

Service provided was done well and very professionally.

I live in a condo. The dryer venting pipe had become disconnected between floors. Choices were tear up my floor, tear up my neighbor's ceiling... or plan "C" -- reroute the entire venting system through the garage and through the roof. Kevin who did the inspection, presented an estimate for me to take to the board. It took a bit of work with the condo association board, but Carl was very patient in answering questions and responded quickly to each question. Kevin did the install work. He was clear in describing what he was going to do. We discovered an existing garage access so the total cost came in under the estimate.

Great service. Purchased a deal Sunday evening. Had a response within 15 min. Came out 2 days later which worked best with my schedule. Cleaned out an extra long vent (previous owners had not maintained this.. it was DIRTY!) Gave me a coupon for my next service and a magnet for the dryer with a date to remind me to have it done again in 2 years. Great service. Prompt and courteous!

I had an almost immediate response from my Angie's List coupon purchase, with a list of days and times of immediate availability. Showed up on the appointed day, very punctual and consider. He was in and out in almost no time and got rid of a LOT of lint/trash. I would absolutely use them again.

He arrived early by at least 40 minutes which was great. He cleaned the vent from outside the home which means He didn't have to move the dryer. He also cleaned the dryer lint trap. We had this service done maybe a year or year and a half ago. He advised us that we should only need it every three years. We did not have a lot of lint and the dryer is putting out very good airflow. We were glad to hear that and liked the fact we can go longer. Service took maybe 15 minutes.

Went fine but had small leak from washer water discharge after work was done.

Everything went very well. Carl returns calls quickly, has full equipment, and does a fine job. Just be aware there is a service call fee on top of the quote for the project. He earns the A ratings I have given him, and this is the 2nd time I have used him with a 3 year interim.

I contacted Carl and he was on the other line at the time. He called me back within minutes, offered me several time slots for service and scheduled an appointment right then and there. There was also a toll free number on the voicemail to call to get immediate service, but he was so quick to get back to me that there was no need. I set up a service time frame of 1-3PM and my tech, Kevin showed up right on time. He let me know that since our home was newer construction, a lot of the time they leave a screen over the vent (which is on the roof with second floor laundry) which can become clogged. He let me know the cost of the repair right away and before the service was completed. I felt that the price was more than fair and gave him the go ahead. He fixed the issue, showed me the clogged screen and cleaned the dryer vent. He was very friendly, quick and dealt with my overly attentive German Shepherd like a pro. I would highly recommend this company!

Having the dryer vent cover replaced and the vent pipe cleaned went very well. I really appreciated the detailed information they provided concerning a new vent cover and vent cleaning. The new vent cover looks really nice. The old vent cover was in pretty bad shape and needed to be replaced. They suggested and thoroughly explained two different types of vent covers. The one I selected I had never seen in a hardware store and seems well made. They were very professional, for example covering their shoes when they came in the house.

Carl contacted me within an hour of my email. Explained while I needed the vent cleaned there was something dead inside the vent. Appointment was scheduled for the next business day. Kevin arrived and promptly started the job. Yes, there was a dead chipmunk inside. Kevin explained my vent wasn't up to code and I decided to replace with the proper venting. He also installed a new louvered cover on the exterior that should be better than what was there. Great job and will call them the next time I need the vent cleaned.

I was contacted pretty much immediately by Carl. The cleaning was scheduled for the same week, and the technician showed up promptly as promised. Mike was very professional. Upon reading prior reviews, there was a pattern of needing to do extra work and charging more. I found the same to be true. I didn't understand that cleaning the vent didn't include build up where the vent and dryer connect. Apparently that is considered to be in the dryer and not part of the venting. I was told there was a build up of lint near the heating element and it would cost another $35 to clean that out. Of course, that's the part you're most worried about so I paid the extra to get it done. I'm glad I didn't pay full price of $189 and then pay another $35 on top of that!! I had this service performed by another company 3 years ago, but they never set foot in the house. This was a much more thorough cleaning. Mike had to go up on the roof on a rainy day. Some companies might have cancelled. He also took the extra time to go around the shrubs in the yard to make sure he had cleaned up any loose lint. That level of detail impressed me, especially given the nasty weather.

I tried to contact multiple companies to help us with some birds that were living in our bathroom exhaust vent and Dryer Vent Wizard was the only one that responded quickly and said they were able to help. They came within a couple of days and replaced the vent tubing. They also took a look at my washer and dryer. They found some things that could have caused major issues in the future and fixed them for me. They explained everything they did that day and why they needed to do it. I was very impressed with their service and would use them again in the future.
