+ -1 moreThe quality of the 18’ Cedar was exceptional...I bought a total of 30 boards at $33 each to rebuild my Deck. I compared the wood to Menard’s and DCL is a much nicer quality...finer grain and smooth finish...just beautiful to work with. Delivery was quick and free. There were a few minor hiccups, but the Owner (Sunny Bowman) was incredibly responsive and I walked away smiling. I wanted to support a local business, and Dakota Lumber is a solid operation. I would buy from them again.

+ -1 moreI had quotes for the exact same material list from 2 other lumbar yards (Scherer Bros and Lamperts) and DCL's quote beat them both handily. The sales guy Eric J actually helped me trim down the material list based on his experience. Delivery was free. They also through in the bit to use for the Diamond pier footing install. The took back the excess material and issued a quick refund as well. Absolutely delighted with their service, professional but with human touch. The cost of service I've provided includes the refund as well.
Description of Work: I bought all my materials for a deck that I built from Dakota County Lumber, in May 2016. All lumber, hardware, decking and railing for the deck, everything I got from DCL.
