+ 1 moreThey have done a number of things here. They have done some remodeling and general contracting for us. They were very conscientious and very hard working. Their price was fair. They were accommodating and they were very straightforward.

Description of Work: They fixed, power washed and stained our deck, hot tub, a fence and a cedar storage shed. They screwed the deck boards down so they no longer creak.

+ 0 moreService has always been excellent. He cleans up afterwards. His charges have always been very reasonable and in many cases lower than I would have expected.
Description of Work: Preparing and painting 25 inside windows and complete bathroom; also outside fence painting. Since then, I have had him do several other smaller jobs including small driveway repair, blow out dryer, vent, power wash patios and sidewalks, repair fence, spread wood chips, etc.

+ 2 moreHe did some painting and put in a new cold molding, he installed some ceiling fans, bathroom fans. He did some outside work with some concrete blocks, and he replaced some light switches.
Description of Work: He did a whole bunch of stuff, whatever we needed.

+ -1 moreScott answered his phone and we were able to set up a time for him to see the project, even on a Sunday. After seeing the project, he quoted me a price and we set up the install date. He called me the day before the install to remind me of the schedule, showed up on time and completed the work as planned. He removed the old doors and installed the new doors. I had him reuse the trim pieces and install new lock sets and dead bolts. The work was very well done, the doors work great. If I had to gripe about something, it would be that he used a light colored wood putty to fill the nail holes in the trim (which is dark). Otherwise, very happy with the work and professionalism. We will be calling him back in the future.
Description of Work: Scott removed two exterior doors and replaced them with doors I had bought. One house/garage door and one rear exit door both 32" doors.

+ -1 moreMY EXPERIENCE WITH SCOTT SCHMITZ WAS OVER THE TOP. FIRST OFF, HE IS ONE OF THE NICEST PEOPLE YOU WILL MEET. HE IS EXCEPTIONAL WITH HIS WORK, AND I SIMPLY TRUST HIM 100% AND WOULD RECOMMEND HIM FOR ANY HANDYMAN JOB. HE VACUUMED UP HIS MESS AND LEFT THE HOME IN PERFECT CONDITION. THE IKEA PIECE LOOKS AWESOME. SCOTT IS A WINNER! SCOTT ALSO TOLD ME HIS DAD IS A RETIRED MASTER ELECTRICIAN AND HELPS SCOTT ON ELECTRICAL ISSUES/PROJECTS.
Description of Work: WE PURCHASED A REALLY NICE IKEA ENTERTAINMENT/STORAGE AREA FOR OUR LOWER LEVEL. THIS IS A PRETTY BIG ENTERTAINMENT CENTER (9'X 7') WITH MANY GLASS DOORS, SHELVES AND CABINETS. SCOTT SCHMITZ SAVED THE DAY AND INSTALLED EVERYTHING, INCLUDING LUGGING IT ALL DOWN INTO THE LOWER LEVEL FROM MY VAN. THIS PROJECT WOULD HAVE TAKEN ME 2 WEEKS TO INSTALL AND WOULD HAVE DROVE ME NUTS. SCOTT DID IT ALL IN A HANDFUL OF HOURS.
