Minnetonka Glass & Mirror

They were very quick in giving me a quote through email. The price was a higher than some other companies and it took a couple weeks to get a measurement completed, so we decided to go with someone else.

My friend and I had been getting estimates for frameless glass shower doors and I had pretty much given up finding an installer for a reasonable price. My shower opening is 46" wide and most estimates I received were $2,000-$2,500. I like the look of the frameless glass door, but not THAT much. My friend had Mtka Glass & Mirror give her an estimate and referred me because she had found a glass place with reasonable prices. I stopped at Mtka Glass & Mirror with my measurements and they gave me an approximate cost for the door, which was reasonable, so I had them out to measure on 11/3/2010. Andy e-mailed me the same day with a firm price quote and I ordered the door. I also had th hydro shield applied - I think that was $70 and is included in my total price listed in this review. The door was installed on 12/2/2010. After the install, they told us to wait 24 hours before using it so the silicone seal could set. The only surprise came when my husband and I were admiring the door right after it was installed. As we admired it, we opened the door to see how it worked and it wouldn't open outward without some force. Fortunately, the installers were just backing out of the driveway, so they came back in and trimmed the sweep a little (or offered to remove it altogether if needed) and it works perfectly now. The door looks fabulous and it cleans up nicely. I absolutely love it! I will be calling them again when I am ready to install a custom cut vanity mirror.

Andy (the owner) is very knowleadgable and a super nice guy. The guys who did the installation were well mannered and professional. Also, I got three quotes for the work and Andy's was the winner. Kudos all around.

Minnetonka Glass was one of the only companies that offered to fix my existing windows instead of pushing me to buy new ones. The gentlemen were very professional and explained in detail the problems with my windows and the process to fix them. At no time did I feel pressured. They came out to the house at the aggreed upon time and did excellent work. I plan to order a shower door from them in the future.

It took repeated calls from us to get the status of the window. In all it took about two months to get the window back (we are busy and they don?t return calls or call with status, also they misplaced the window one time we called). In the end we got the window back, but they were rude and unprofessional throughout the process. I will never use them again.

THESE GUYS WERE REALLY GREAT. THEY PAID ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND WERE METICULOUS IN THEIR WORK. I WAS ALSO VERY IMPRESSED BY THE FACT THAT THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. I'D USE THEM AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT.
