Our selling experience with Matt Bartholomew was positive from start to finish. It was a difficult time for our family as the move was not something "wanted", it was something "necessary". My partner and I bought our first house! Matt was amazing! We were new to homebuying so we weren't sure what to expect. Working with Matt made that experience great. On top of being just an overall friendly and amazing guy, he took the time to ensure we understood what we were doing and the paperwork we were submitting. We just bought our first house with Matt as our realtor and he made the process seem like a breeze! He was extremely knowledge, not only about the real estate market but also about potential red flags such as old utility systems and home conditions (roof showing age etc) that as first time home buyers we would have not picked up on. With Matt's assistance we were able to get our dream home for 15k under asking price with inspection and appraisal contingencies (which we thought would be impossible in the current market!). He helped line us up with a first time home buyers grant. He negotiated a great deal for us and our house ultimately ended up appraising for 7k more than we paid. Matt helped our family buy our first home in Minneapolis. The entire experience working with Matt- from the initial meeting, looking at houses, putting in offers, and finalizing the sale- was extremely positive. After finding out that our rental was being sold, my wife and I had ten days before she left the state for three weeks. We reached out to Matt to see if it was even remotely possible to find a house in ten days. Without hesitation he said it was possible and got us into 20 properties over four different days. With his guidance we were able to find a home that we are very happy with in an extremely short timeline and felt that we made a very informed decision. On top of that, he secured seller’s concessions on closing costs and got them to agree to a home inspection in a market where neither of those two things seemed possible.
