Description of Work: Moved from Martinez, CA to Spokane, WA. Worst experience I've had or heard of. Sal, the estimator, underestimated the cost by hundreds of dollars. He repeatedly said that if we paid hundreds of dollars extra, we could get a guaranteed "five day delivery window." "Five days" he said, over and over. We paid the money, and made many appointments and nonrefundable flights based on that representation. On the fourth day after the pickup of our possessions (they don't count the day of the pickup), they still had not arrived, and for the first time I was told they meant five BUSINESS days. So, (1) they will ALWAYS get SEVEN days, though you think you are paying for a five day window, because no matter when they pick up, a weekend falls in the five-day period), (2) we had to reschedule a half dozen appointments, and lost the nonrefundable air fare and had to rebook at twice the cost. They refused to refund anything or make a good faith reduction. Further, on the fourth day after pickup, I talked to Eric, wanting to know where they were. They actually had taken our goods and unloaded them in their warehouse in Oakland, where they still were. I told Eric I was concerned they could not get to Spokane in time, and he said not to worry, it's only a 9-10 hour drive. I told him it was 900 miles, and there was no way a moving truck could get there in that time, and in fact even if you drove 9 hours straight, you'd be going 100mph the whole way. He responded, "Absolutely. Great. Perfect." He was on another planet. When they finally did arrive, an hour and half later than promised, seven days after pickup, they came at 6:30 pm, with a crew of laborers who scratched and dented the furniture, stacked upside down or sideways boxes that were clearly marked with arrows indicating which side was up. They stacked heavy boxes of books on boxes clearly marked "fragile". They didn't place the furniture where they were directed to. Boxes were smashed in without regard to their contents. Still further, they forgot to move a number of items: A western saddle in a saddle carrier, an office chair, a four-wheeled garden cart, a BBQ unit, and a six foot stepladder. All but the ladder have finally been delivered. They had an inventory system that didn't accurately describe the items to be moved, but it didn't matter, since they didn't use it during the offload. The offload driver swore to me that the BBQ had been boxed and was delivered, but I called him on that and sure enough it was still in their warehouse in Oakland. Moreover, if you pay by credit card, they charge you a 5% surcharge for "processing" and make you sign a statement that the 5% was fairly and truly earned! Only problem is, their own document says the surcharge is FOUR percent, not FIVE, so unless you call them on that you'll lose another 1%. They are greedy, unresponsive, rude, incompetent, unreliable, deceitful, fraudulent and disrespectful. I would not use them to move my trash to the curb, and hope you never use them for anything.
