We enjoyed working with Darren and would highly recommend him. He and a plaster repair specialist worked together on this project to repair our home. They seamlessly coordinated their work from start (working with the insurance company to adjust their estimated cost of repairs) to finish. Darren worked to get the job started as soon as possible after the cost of the repair was agreed (late Fall) so as to prevent us the challenge of having another ice dam form because of the hole in the ceiling allowing air to warm the attic. He communicated well, was respectful of our home, and did a great job on the repair and the clean-up.

I was very satisfied with the quality of the work! Very good communication, pricing was fair, and there were no surprises. Darren, the owner, is a professional - he's honest and he knows what he is doing. I highly recommend this company!

Darin is picky and makes sure everything is done well. He is the cleanest worker I've ever used - -vacuuming,, etc as he goes. We were extremely pleased.

This past year, Darren Picket and his crew did an outstanding job with our home. Darren visited our home nearly every day his crews were working on-site. Darren took the time to talk with us, or meet with us, as often as needed, answering all our questions with patience. Darren's years of experience and his depth of knowledge in both painting and restoration are the reasons why we employed his company. We are happy we did and would highly recommend their services to others.

Darren took walls (one in particular) that were in very rough shape and transformed them into a smooth "brand new" surface. He had to spend a significant amount of time repairing them with sheetrock mud, but it was worth it. I am very pleased with the results, more importantly, my wife is extremely happy! If the need arises in the future, I will use DP Painting again. Darren is professional, meticulous, and has excellent customer service.

4/11/16 Received quote from DP Painting for $2040 for labor only to stain our deck4/18/16 Sent $500 deposit to DP Painting4/22/16 $500 deposit check cashed by DP Painting4/29/16 Emailed Darren Pickit since I had not heard an update or that our deposit check had been received4/30/16 Darren Pickit replied stating that it was still too cool at night to begin the work on our deckEnd of May- Finally notified that we can pick out our deck stain. Was expecting that the work would be done by now so let Darren know that we were having a family get together on June 17 and I would like to have my deck done by then.6/7/16 $1400 check written to DP Painting so work could get started per Darren's request6/10/16 Started staining deck6/21/16 Staining of deck completed6/24/16 Darren and worker came to look at deck to see if we needed any touchups. Wrote the final charges on a piece of paper for my husband, charged us $25 for five deck screws that were replaced and $609.61 for materials. Total of services = $2674.61 Unfortunately this was not a positive experience for us. We thought we would be dealing with a stand up business as we had seen them at the Lakeville home and garden show. Our experience was not the same as our expectations. Darren continually was telling us that they cannot control the weather and would even go so far as to send us pictures of the sky. There were lots of rainy days from April to June, however there were a number of nice days as well. If they were getting that far behind I would have liked to have known where we were in their line of upcoming jobs. Also, we were told by Darren that they "might" have to work over the weekend to get our job done. I would think that if it was raining that much you would definitely be working the weekends in order to get caught up on your jobs. Maybe I am expecting too much, however the service we received did not meet expectations, and most certainly did not exceed them based on the unusual communication. The crew worked hard when they were here and did a nice job on our deck. There were some spots where stain got on our siding. There had been stain on our siding from the previous owners' staining job. When my husband pointed this out to Darren he was adamant that it was old stain and not new stain. I was not born yesterday and I am not an idiot, however, if you work with this guy he will try to make you feel like one. Even if it was old, a good business man would say "Hey, I know what will get that off of there, let me try this." Nope, not Darren. There is no above and beyond for this guy. I hope he enjoys his $25 for the screws he put in our deck because they will definitely cost him.

Went great. DP Painting came out and helped me finish my bathroom remodel. They offered some good pointers and helped me complete the work. They did a great overall job with everything from Electric (moving a 220 line), to taping, mudding and tile work. I would recommend them. Everyone always comments on the great tile job.

Darren provided great service to us. He communicated frequently and always kept us updated as to when the drywaller and painters would be coming over. The quality of the work was great as well. Even with the messy popcorn ceiling removal and painting, they always cleaned up nicely at the end of the day. Once our new flooring was all in and his team came for the finishing touches, they even removed their shoes. It was very clear Darren and his team took pride in the quality of the services provided and made sure spots, nicks and other flaws were all fixed for a nice, clean and professional look when complete. We had never had this extent of work done on our home before with our remodel so were quite hesitant and thorough with selecting our providers. The reason we went with Darren was his down-to-earth, open and honest demeanor when providing us the estimate and explaining how the process would work. This did not change throughout the entire job.

Darren was very prompt in his response to our request, set up a time to stop by, sent a written bid outlining what we could expect to be the outcome of our door, along with the cost. He was very good with his communication on when he would be by to put a coat on - and our door took multiple coats of stain and then a top coat. Our door turned out beautiful! We are extremely pleased with everything! We couldn't recommend Darren more highly.

Very honest and up- front , wasn't available til the end of August, we needed it done before then , or we would have used him. He even recommended someone else from Angie's list.

They did an amazing job and were a pleasure to work with. I was beyond pleased with the level of detail with the job and care of my home.

The project encountered some weather delays but communication was very good. The workmanship and overall quality of the services were excellent.

Darren responded quickly to my intitial phone call. He came out and provided a detailed estimate for a variety of work to be done. This work included: powerwash and stain a two story Lindahl cedar home, front and back wrap around decks, gazebo, pool fencing,remove all old caulking on home replace with new, replace and/or repair cedar shakes on gazebo, repair water staining on interior cedar wood beams from old roof leaking problem ( in many areas of the home). We had just had our home stained by someone else 2 years ago. That job was a disaster. The stain was "gone" and damage had been done to the cedar from an overzealous powerwash. Darren took great care to protect windows from overspray. Powerwashing was done well. More than one coat of Sikkens cedar stain was applied until the house wood "came back to life". The decks, fence and gazebo were also well stained. There was not a drip anywhere as everything was evened out with a brush while spraying. The work "mess" ie plastic, paper, empty caulk tubes etc was completely cleared up and removed. The person who worked with Darren was also very much detail orientated and very personable. Communication is very important to me. Darren took the time to keep us informed as weather delays moved our start day back. Very professional. In addition Darren stained the wood framing around our new garage doors and painted our steel entry door to the garage to match the new garage doors. I know I will hire his services in the future as we have more interior work to be done. Great Job!

Darin came out to give me an estimate promptly after my call. He had one of his guys (Bruce) out the next week to do the staining and he did a nice job. Darin himself has been here to do the other work. He has a steady hand and great attention to detail and has repaired the botched job our last painter did. We already have him scheduled to give us an estimate on our parents home that needs work.

Darren is always very professional, reliable, and trustworthy. He always performs the work with exceptional detail. We continue to use his services for our painting needs.
