 + 1 moreALTHOUGH EXPENSIVE, I GOT WHAT I PAID FOR; AN AWESOME BATHROOM! STEVE HAS SOME UNIQUE IDEAS OF MAKING THE BATHROOM MORE CONVENIENT TO BE IN. I'VE FOUND OTHER CONTRACTORS ON OTHER PROJECTS TO NOT BE AS RESPONSIVE OR PROMPT. STEVE WAS ALWAYS POLITE, ONLY WORKING ON ONE PROJECT AT A TIME. THIS WAS IMPORTANT TO ME AS THIS IS MY ONLY BATHROOM. HE SHOWED UP EVERY DAY IN THE MORNING AND WORKED FOR A SOLID 8 HRS, UNLESS OTHERWISE COMMUNICATED. HE ALWAYS USED DROP-CLOTHES AND CLEANED UP EVERY DAY. I LIKE THAT HE DOES THE WORK HIMSELF (EXCEPT ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING) SO I CAN CUT OUT THE MIDDLE-MAN. HE PRIMARILY WORKS WITH BILL (HANNAY ELECTRIC) AND CRAIG (CUSTOM PLUMBING), ALTHOUGH THESE GUYS HAVE THEIR OWN BUSINESSES. SINCE THEY HAVE THEIR OWN BUSINESSES, I HAD TO SIGN A TOTAL OF 3 CONTRACTS. SEE MY COMMENTS ON THESE GUYS IN THE LIST. I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE FINAL PRODUCT. STEVE'S TIMEFRAME WAS SHORTER THAN MOST BIDS, WHICH I LIKED. I'LL DEFINITELY USE HIM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE
Description of Work: TOTAL GUT OF ONLY BATHROOM IN HOUSE. NEW WALLS, LEVELED FLOOR, IN-FLOOR HEATING, TILE FLOOR AND WAINSCOAT, INSTALL EXHAUST FAN AND WHIRLPOOL TUB (INCLUDING BUILT-IN SHAMPOO BOTTLE CUBBIES), RE-CONSTRUCT A BUILT-IN MEDICINE CABINET. HE OFFERED TO PAINT, TOO, BUT I DID THAT TO REDUCE COST. HE EXPLAINED THAT SINCE IT WAS AN OLD HOME, THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THEY'D FIND WHEN THEY TOOK UP THE FLOOR, AND THERE MAY BE ADDITIONAL CHARGES TO FIX THINGS. WITHOUT ALL THE BELLS & WHISTLES, THIS BATHROOM COULD HAVE BEEN 7K CHEAPER, BUT I LOVE THE FINAL PRODUCT. THERE WERE OTHER BIDS THAT WERE CHEAPER, BUT I WENT WITH MY INTUITION THAT THIS GUY WOULDN'T JERK ME AROUND. MY GAMBLE PAID OFF.

Description of Work: TOTAL REMODEL OF A BATHROOM. THIS BATHROOM USED TO HAVE AN OPEN TUB, SINK, AND TOILET, AND NOW HAS A TUB/SHOWER, SINK AND TOILET. THEY REPLACED EVERYTHING DOWN TO THE SUBFLOOR AND MUCH OF THE WALLS - ALL NEW FIXTURES, TILE, & GLASS BLOCK WINDOW (TO REPLACE AN EXISTING DOUBLE-HUNG WINDOW). ALSO HAD ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING WORK DONE. STEVE HELPED ME TO DESIGN THE NEW LAYOUT (A VERY SMALL BATHROOM NEEDING TO MAXIMIZE STORAGE AND ACCESS) AND CAME UP WITH GREAT, UNIQUE IDEAS. I HAVE A UNIQUE, UPDATED BATHROOM THAT STILL FITS IN AN OLD HOUSE. STEVE AND HIS CREW WERE ALWAYS ON TIME AND THEY CLEANED UP BETTER THAN I HAD HOPED THEY WOULD. QUALITY, RESPONSIVENESS, AND ATTITUDE ALL SURPASSED MY EXPECTATIONS. PRICE WAS SIGNIFICANT BUT FAIR FOR THE QUALITY - THE BATHROOM AND TILING IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT IN ITS FINISHED STATE. WOULD CERTAINLY USE THEM AGAIN AND WILL RECOMMEND TO ALL FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS.
