Description of Work: My furnace was not working, Todd came and diagnosed the problem, fixed it with a temporary thermostat (the thermostat I had failed thus the need for service) and he performed a tune up on the furnace. He came over quickly which was good seeing it was cold and fixed the problem. He let me borrow the thermostat until I could go purchase a new one that I wanted. I appreciated his work and his borrowing me his thermostat.

Description of Work: These guys were very professional. They came out the next day gave us the estimate and the very next morning they were at my home to install the new furnace.

Description of Work: Checked AC unit and determined I needed a new evaporator coil.

Description of Work: I contacted a number of large Heating/cooling companies for estimates on a mini-split A/C system in my home, as I don't have a central furnace or ductwork. They had charts and brochures and gave me an estimate based on square footage and their charts, but really had no understanding or expertise in mini-split systems. I got Rick's name from a friend who had used him for a furnace, and had an excellent experience. Rick came out to give me an estimate and I knew immediately he had more expertise than any of the other big companies. He had installed a mini-split in his own home and knew exactly what he was talking about. He took the layout of my house into consideration, made sensible recommendations and gave me options and ways to save money. We ended up getting just one air handler in the main living area of the house so I could assess the effectiveness and get one in the bedroom area later if needed. He was obviously an expert in his area and spoke intelligently and professionally on his topic. His estimate was less than any others. He went out of his way to try to get me a good deal. I was very comfortable with him doing the work in my home while I was not at home. He only took a couple of days, arranged the electrician and everything was up and running very speedily. He showed me how it worked and replaced a dented cover on the unit at no cost. He called to check up and see how it was working later. It works beautifully, cools the whole house and I couldn't be happier with the unit, my experience with Hoffman Heating and Cooling.
