Decided it was time to replace a Genie opener that sometimes did not like to perform during our cold MN winters; it finally died right after the holidays. Chose Gilbertson Door Systems due to pricing as I did not want to pay $500 for a quality opener. There are living quarters above the garage so a quiet unit was needed. I was nervous that there are not many reviews of this company on Angie's List or anywhere else for that matter. Took the risk anyway and have no regrets. Jeff was professional, efficient and very knowledgeable. As arranged, he called me when he was almost finished and I met him at the house to pay for his services. My tenants report that the new Liftmaster opener is many times quieter than the old unit. I will be calling Jeff in the future to fix garage door issues in my home and rental properties.

Great communication. Spoke with them over the phone. Discussed my needs and the type of garage door I wanted. They made suggestions, and ordered my door. Kept me informed of arrival date, and set up the installation well in advance. They installed it while I was at work. I came home to a clean driveway, the new door was installed, and the old one gone. A very good quality insulated garage door, at a good price. Highly recommend!

Went fine. Jeff arrived within the expected time and did a great job. since I have used him in the past, this was no surprise.

Initially the company was very responsive. I submitted an online request for an estimate and followed up with a voice mail several days later. I received a return call and eventually was able to speak with Shannon on 8/18 who provided an over the phone quote based on our needs. I called after hours on 8/20 to leave a voice mail confirming the quote, the 10% coupon offered with Angie's list and to request an installation for the week of 8/23 - 8/27. Since I had called after hours I allowed a few days for the reply. On 8/25 I called and left another voice mail asking for a call back. Still no reply. This is the second business we have attempted to use with Angie's list that have failed to reply to us. Very disappointing.

New garage door opener with belt drive is very quiet and works very well. Installer arrived on schedule and completed the installation work in about one hour. Very pleased with the work.

I called several choices from Angie's List search that all had "A" ratings. Gilbertson's price beat the others by 60 to 120 dollars. They had plenty of current favorable reviews. I called and setup an appointment for the next morning. The work was perfect and clean. I called that afternoon after accidentally deleting the codes from my older, other door opener they hadn't installed and they were able to talk me through reprogramming the remotes right away!

They man was very nice and poliete. They did good work in a quick amount of time. The price that we paid was well worth the work that they did. We would use them again.

They didn't show up at the meetings where they were supposed to install the garage door. They didn't return calls when we needed them to. However the garage door is finally in and is beautiful and we were finally able to get it all taken care of.

Jeff was meticulous in his work and very thorough in his clean up as well. He did a great job and I would strongly recommend his company for top quality workmanship.

We had been having some trouble with the smaller of our two garage doors and my husband replaced the gears in the motor, but the door was hard to open, so we decided to have someone look at it. We called Gilbertson Door Systems and arranged to have them call us a half hour before they arrived so we could have someone come home from work to meet them at the house. Jeff came out and observed some alignment problems which he fixed, and lubricated the hinges and other mechanisms. We then asked about the noise our larger door was making, so Jeff lubricated it as well, then suggested and installed a larger mount. We are very happy with the work Jeff did, and it is a pleasure to now hear the well-oiled hum of the doors in operation instead of the screeching and painful groaning we heard previously.
