We are disappointed with the service provided--or lack thereof. We asked Joe to trim the trees and shrubs in our backyard. He quoted us $1,000, explaining that it would take his team around 4 hours to do the job properly. We agreed to those terms and scheduled an appointment from the early morning to the early the afternoon, which would work with our schedules. On the day of our appointment, we called him an hour past our appointment time. He said that he would be two hours late, which was cutting it close for us, but we didn't realize how late it would become. He delayed it each time we asked. When he arrived around 4 or 5 pm, he explained that he was at a bigger job that required hours of time. But the problems didn't end there. His guys came in to do the job. What he quoted us--4 hours--became 45 minutes. I can't say they finished the job. Bushes were still touching the side of our house and they left cut-up shrubbery around our yard, without picking it up. When he finished, he demanded a check before we could even look at the job. We decided to look around the place, realizing that the job was left incomplete. It's not like we have the biggest yard, so we expected a comprehensive job. Again, it was a job that he said would take four hours, so some red flags went off for us when he arrived close to dinner time! When we showed him the spots, he admitted that his guys were “in a rush” and that he didn't supervise them. We wrote him a check, but on the condition that he comes back in the next two weeks to clean up problems with the yard. He agreed, promising that he would take care of it in a timely fashion. He did not show up for two months. We called around every two weeks, hoping that he would have the time to come in and do the work he promised to do. He did not. We employed his services originally in June, and he didn't show up until August. By then, much of what he trimmed had grown, making it a bigger job. He asked for more payment, which is unfair. He didn't finish the job, put it off for two months, and then it became harder to finish. To be honest, we were surprised he had the audacity to quote us extra work. He quoted us, in fact, thousands of dollars’ worth of work, when he didn’t even finish $1,000 of work. Yikes. We were also thrown off by an unexpectedly mean customer service conversation. When we called just asking them to finish the work, his wife Amber was very rude and tried to gaslight us. She claimed that the guys had spent four hours on the job--wrong. Maybe generously she was just looking at Joe's original notes, but she argued that we were being a bother for asking Joe to finish the work he promised to do. It was disheartening. Of the few reviews online, this seems to be something of a theme. Joe promises to finish a job, knows he won't get paid extra to do so, and then so ignores it. This is true on both Angi and Google. We cannot in good conscience recommend you use their service.

It went terribly. I'm still waiting for Joe to come back and finish the job he started. The job I paid for. Or I'd like my money back.

Came quickly to give a quote and provided service the same week. Did a great job trimming and grinding stumps.

Joe knocked on the door to see if we needed trees serviced at my Orono home. That sales approach makes me nervous, so I asked him what he would do to several of my 9 hardwoods. He gave the right answers, based on what other arborists have taught me, so I said "go for it". The crew did a great job for a fair price and cleaned up on completion. I'll use them again.

The work was done well, but they were short staffed because part of their crew was down in Florida working on the hurricane recovery. It took longer than usual, but they were apologetic, friendly, skilled and cleaned everything up well.

Joe did a nice job with his crew cutting and trimming a number of trees.

Joe did a great job cutting down the first tree, but things went badly after that. My father passed away in an accident, so I flew in to take care of his affairs including the trees. I called Joe about the remaining tree, and he apologized profusely saying he had forgotten to cut down the tree and would be out promptly to do so. After numerous phone calls and making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, I was accused of harassing the company and trying to get more services than what had been purchased.
