Josh came out and made every attempt to limit the cost to my family, however, it was determined it was best to fix both the controller box and the well pump as both were well beyond the life expectancy. He was very professional and courteous and the work was performed in a timely and trustworthy manner. I would definitely call EH Renner again. The only down side was having to wait to have the water fixed as we found the problem on a Sunday afternoon and they could not come until mid morning on Monday.

Their timing was really good and they had to work around our landscape people because the landscaping was still under warranty. We had to move the landscaping and get the well people and get the landscaping back. The timing really worked out well. They made a little mistake with the price.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY EVER!! This was the worst experience ever! Have been battling a worsening and progressive "rotten egg" smell in our water. We have endured this for a year. We hired EH Renner in December 2010, because 5 years ago they had come out and chlorinated our system, and we thought they would be familiar with our system. Wrong! They tested our well water and sent to a lab. It came back "positive" for a bacteria called "Coliform." A very unhealthy bacteria, that was unfit for drinking, by the standards of the MN Dept of Health. The company recommended chlorinating again, including the water heater. They also suggested a new pressure tank in the house, as it was getting old. We agreed and the work was done. The clean up was terrible. They sent out a young, inexperienced tech, who didn't know what he was doing. He also left a mess in our basement laundry tub and no clean up. I called and complained to Katie (Service Manager), who then came out and helped him. The rotten egg smell was still present and this AWFUL, black like soot, material came out of the water for weeks. Katie said this was "normal" after chlorination, and not to drink the water. A few weeks later, we called her back and told her the smell was obnoxious and worse than ever. The black "stuff" was still also present. She strongly and highly recommended this super, extra large housewide carbon filter, and also a sediment filter. We agreed. She again, sent out the same young tech, who by the way set our security alarm off twice. There was no communication or phone call EXACTLY when they would be out. He just showed up. I called and complained again on the setting of the alarms. She blew me off. They did a water sample test also, which the company claimed was negative for the "coliform" bacteria. I did my own sample, sent it to a lab, it came back positive for the "coliform" bacteria. I got a second opinion from Malenke Water. He diagnosed it correctly, said the filters were not needed and fixed the problem by pulling up the outside well pump and casing, putting in a larger size pressure tank, iron filter and chlorinating housewide. They discovered the well casing and pipe had been eaten through and a huge gaping hole was present, from EH Renner not flushing it well enough after chlorination. I guess the bleach substance just eats through, if not flushed well. So, in addition to all the other equipment, we had to have that replaced! What a nightmare. Malenke water removed the filters and we will be asking for a credit from EH RENNER. Not only did they risk our health, but cost us equipment we didn't need to begin with. By the way, they also put too small a pressure tank in for the size of our house. I would not recommend them. They don't know what they're doing and are suggesting equipment you don't need. We have no problems now after hiring this other company to fix their mess.

THERE SEEMED TO BE A VERY DISORGANIZED SYSTEM FOR SCHEDULING BOTH THE BIDDING AND WORK APPOINTMENTS. BOTH NEEDED TO BE RESCHEDULED, AT LEAST ONCE. THE OFFICE PEOPLE DID NOT SEEM TO KNOW WHAT WAS SCHEDULED, OR WHERE THE SERVICE PERSON/TEAM WAS, WITHOUT CONTACTING THEM AND CALLING ME BACK. THE WORK COMPLETED SEEMS SATISFACTORY - HOWEVER, IT TOOK TWO TRIPS TO FULLY COMPLETE, POSSIBLY DUE TO THE FIRST TRIP OCCURRING AT THE END OF A WORK DAY, (SHORT ON TIME, MATERIALS, OR BOTH?) RATHER THAN AT THE BEGINNING OF THE DAY AS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED.

WELL PROVIDING WATER TO OUR OUTSIDE HOSES QUIT RUNNING. MY CALL WAS RETURNED THE SAME DAY AND APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED. MICHAEL ASSESSED THE PROBLEM AND REPLACED BROKEN COMPRESSOR AND CONTROL PANEL. HE EXPLAINED HOW THE WELL WORKED, AND WHAT WE COULD DO TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN. HE ALSO EXPLAINED WHAT A NEW PUMP AND WELL TREATMENT WOULD REQUIRE. GREAT SERVICE.
