Aurora Asphalt & Concrete

Our concrete driveway got lot of pitting. We called Aurora to see what our options would be and I am really glad that I contacted these guys. Rory, who came to give us a quote, is very honest in explaining that our driveway is structurally good for another few years, although it had lot of pitting. I am so impressed with his honest advice.

They poured a new pad of concrete in front of the garage. It was predicted to rain that afternoon, so they covered the area with a tarp. We don't have gutters and the water pouring off of the roof created a depression in the soft uncured concrete. They should have never poured the concrete that day, or better protected their newly poured concrete. Months later we got the company to come back out to repour the one section that had the damage. Unfortunately, 6 months later, that new section is significantly darker than the other sections, and looks terrible. The company has not been willing to correct their mistakes by redoing the job. I will remove this posting if the company replaces all the concrete and does the job correctly.

Project estimator met with us during an on site visit. He was very professional, courteous, polite and seemed honest and open. All our questions were answered to our satisfaction. He provided several options with pricing for improving the driveway, both immediately and in the future. The work was completed on schedule and as described. There was good communication from and with their office.

Very well, they were professional, listened and provided advice for our concerns, communicated well. The only downside had nothing to do with them, the weather was really wet and uncooperative pushing back paving, but they kept in contact with us, giving updates as able.

Every person was cordial and professional. Work was done in a timely manner. Crew was thorough and respectful of property. Could not be more pleased.

Everyone was very skilled and professional. We were really impressed. The removal of the old driveway and base preparation was done one morning. They framed the forms, poured and finished the concrete on the next day. 24 hours later came back to cut the joints. Everything proceeded so smoothly it was entertaining to watch. The driveway looks awesome. What an upgrade from the raggy old asphalt that we replaced. Glad we went with concrete. We love it.

Smooth. They said if the rain that followed washed all or part of it away, I should call them and they would come and fix it.

Very well - the job was performed on time, quickly, no mess, and still looks good 8 months later!

Sent a request online for a quote for a driveway replacement with asphalt. Received a call within 24 hours, which was great, only to be told they, apparently, do not perform do driveways. I found this quite odd since they are listed as being a business who does driveways. I gave them a “C” for this reason only.

The project was completed on time and a quality job. No sloppy edges, etc. We requested that the be done by a specific date and they were at least a week early.

Very nice work. We made a change request mid project and they were happy to adjust for us. Very minor but project clean up could have been better, concrete crew left some construction material behind but nothing major. Project did take awhile to complete but between our change request and weather delays it was understandable. They did offer a full seal coating next year for free because of the delays which is nice. I’m always a bit nervous with an expense like that but it turned out great. Glad I chose this contractor.

Very well. 3 teams over 3 days: teardown and grading, forms and pouring, cutting joints. Everything was done as requested. Curved part of forms were nicely done. Lines were cut as requested. Got lucky with a light rain before and after pouring. Driveway should cure nicely. TK2519 cure and seal was used, as alternative to tk-1315, as requested. This allows for the application of tk-tri-siloxane at 28 days. Skilled crew. maybe could have done a little better job lifting the rebar.

The crew did a great job. They were conscientious about designing the apron for proper water drainage. The end result looks wonderful.

T.hey did a great job, very professional. Kept me up to date as to when they would be available Seemed to work well as a team and they cleaned up after they were done I would use them again if I needed anymore work done!

This was the second time I’ve used them and it went well. They do very good work and are professional in every respect. My driveway is approximately 1100 square feet and they charge $229.00.

At first, it went ok. The driveway got installed and looked ok. There was recently an issue with the driveway. The company refuses to come out an inspect the issue and refuses to correct it, even though the work is still "under Warranty". It's been difficult to get them to respond to emails, about 1/2 get responded to, no phone calls have been returned. Guess it's buyer be ware when you use this company.

I do not think that they value a small residential customer. When I called them, did not get back to me quickly. While the estimator was courteous they then took my money and even though this was at the start of the season, they only scheduled the work for the 1st week in July. After taking the day off from work, they were not at my house by 4 PM and I had to call them. They told me that the workmen couldn't call me to tell me when they would arrive because they didn't want their personnel calling customers while driving. I would not recommend these people.

They delivered exactly what they said. They had the lowest price and despite the weather it was mostly on time. There were no extras or frills and thats okay because I wanted the best bang for my buck.

Concrete Apron was done very professionally. Sealcoat was applied very nice and the driveway looks great. An accident with a bucket of sealant in the street was why a B rating, but they did a fair job of cleaning it up. Will gladly recommend them and will hire again for any future work needed. Great salesperson and guys that came out and led their teams.

Responsive throughout. Individual that did the work was obviously paying attention to quality, even though it was a horribly hot day, as I watched him off and on as I worked inside. Took his time and went back over a few cracks when he wasn’t satisfied with the look.
