Description of Work: We received a bid on services as part of a neighborhood package they offered. The price was reasonable (not the lowest I'd investigated, but pretty good), and the service was fantastic. They were so easy to schedule with, they worked on some of our deeper cracks, the communication was easy and slick, they didn't require payment up front--they promised we'd be happy before we paid, which we were. They were great in providing information about how the service would be performed, what we should expect in the days leading up to the service and the days afterward and how to care for the surface during/after treatment. Superior helped a few other neighbors, we referred one--and all were very happy with the outcome. We would definitely use them again and again.

Description of Work: Sealed my blacktop. I received flier in door advertising service with details and price. Good phone communication, workers showed up in a timely manner and did work described. It was advertised that cracks would be filled - while there was crack filler applied - it was insufficient in quantity...as the product dried - open cracks were still readily apparent. Otherwise the job was fine - not the best asphalt sealcoat I have received - but not a poor job either.

Description of Work: Seemless transaction. They wrote a bid while in my neighborhood and I happened to be in the market for a sealcoat job. The price was competitive and work done very well. Neighbors had used them in the past and reported good results.

Description of Work: They came in 2 shifts in 2 days. The first day the men went around the edges of the driveway and did a good job. the 2nd day the men did the middle of the driveway with an obviously thinner coat of sealant. The driveway looks different - dark arounbd the edges and lighter in the middle; I called to ask for them to come back and redo the middle, but my phone calls were not returned. Description of Work: This company cleaned our driveway, filled the cracks, and sealed the driveway using 2 very efficient crews. The aspect that we loved the most is that there was no mess. Not one drop of sealcoat on our steps, etc. We highly recommend Superior Asphalt!

When they showed up it was good to see we had the same work crews as last time 3 years ago, so we could have confidence in their experience. They use two separate crews who specialize in different tasks, and they got the driveway done quick and to perfection just like before.Dana the office manager is always great to work with.  + -1 moreUnfortunately for us and for this company, the first crew that arrived at the house decided it would be funny to write the words "Country Boy" in sealcoat on the driveway, thinking that the final coat would cover it up - but the final coat did not cover it up, and the words were visible to family and friends for weeks and weeks. It took many weeks of phone calls, emails, and, ultimately, stating the fact that I would pursue all available avenues against them, including small claims court, the BBB, and the Attorney General's office if needed, to get them to make it right. The only positives are that they did eventually come back and redo the driveway, they didn't charge us, and "Dana," the person who answered the phone, was always friendly and cheery.

Description of Work: They left a note in our door saying they were in the neighborhood and giving us a quote for sealing our driveway. My husband called them back and accepted their quote to do our driveway. We got a call from their office saying they would be doing the work on Monday. They never showed up and I later got a call from them saying there was too much "spiderwebbing" in our driveway and that their estimator had made a mistake. I was very angry because we had an agreement with them to do the work. It wasn't our fault that their employee "made a mistake." It was very unprofessional of them to break our agreement. I would never trust this company again.

Description of Work: This company has HORRIBLE customer servece. I recieved a neighborhood estimate taped to my front door. I sceduled 1 day before the deadline to have my driveway seal coated. I recieved a confirmation email. Work was suppose to be done on 9-29-11. They called 9-28-11 to postpone the work for 9-29-11, said it would be done on 9-30 11. They called on 9-29-11 to postpone the work for 9-30-11 and said it would be 10-1-11 Well needless to say no one ever came out to do the work or look at my driveway. So I called Superior Asphalt on 10-3-11 to find out what happened. I was told that paper work was turned in and the job was complete. When I told her that my driveway was not done, she was very surprised. Well I get a bill in the mail on 10-4-11. I called back again and left yet another message. It took 3 days to get a response from them. In talking to another person from there company, I was then told that my driveway was in such bad shape that they cannot do my driveway.I would like to know how they came up with that, since nobody from that company ever came to my house except o tape the estimate on my door. I was told by 2 employees that they would check into it and call me back. Again no one did. I had to call them. I called again today and was told that they are not in my neighborhood anymore this year, so they propbably couldn't get at it. SO now I will be finding another company to do my driveway. After reading the comments left on here for this company it just confirms how HORRIBLE they are with customer service.

 + -1 moreDissatisfied with the sealcoating done to my driveway. Sealcoated driveway on 9/7/10. I noticed the driveway was streaky. I have had the driveway sealcoated before and have never seen it look streaky. I contacted the company several times during business hours but had to leave messages. It always took them several days to return calls. They promised to send someone out to look at the driveway, No one showed. I called again and left a message. They returned my call leaving me a message that again someone would be out. Didn't hear back from anyone. Received a second notice in the mail stating I needed to pay my bill. I called and finally got ahold of someone and they said my driveway was inspected (no one bothered to call and let me know what had transpired) and that the streaking was from impurities on the driveway probably from the roof shingles and it would look better probably after the winter. My neighbor had their driveway done by Jet Black a week after mine and it looks so much better than mine. Whoever did the sealcoating for Superior Asphalt also dumped excess sealcoat in my grass which I am sure has killed the grass. I am extremely disappointed in the way my driveway and yard look. I have told Superior Asphalt I will never use them again.

 + -1 moreThe anticipated date came and they left word on our phone that they could not get to our driveway that day because they had too many driveways to do that day but gave us another date. That day came and they left word that anticipated rain prevented them from coming. They rescheduled for the next day but did not show up to do the work that date and also left no further word about rescheduling. After a couple of weeks I sent them an e-mail asking for clarification about the sealcoating but that was a couple of weeks ago now and I haven't heard anything further from them.
Description of Work: Superior Asphalt company left an estimate on our door for our driveway's seal coating indicating that they were working in the area. The estimate said that if we accepted the estimate by phone or on their website they would seal coat our driveway in a couple of days, or if weather didn't permit they would notify us and reschedule. The company seemed to have a pretty good rating on Angie's List so we accepted the offer and were told of the date they would sealcoat our driveway.

They called me Wednesday to say that due to weather delays, they would come Friday instead. No call/no show on Friday but they showed up Saturday morning and did a good job.

Within a few days, I got a call from a very nice lady who told me I am on the schedule. Except for the rain which delayed the work for a day, the process was done within a week. Nice crew, too.

 + -1 moreThe company left a quote and some nice literature at our home (door to door sales). We looked through the information, did some research on the products they used and thought they seemed reputable. I left a message on their scheduling line and a nice, courteous woman called the day before to tell me rain was predicted, so they will be moving our date out. They confirmed the day before and I felt good about the service we were about to receive, until they pulled up to our house. A gentleman stepped out of the un-marked pickup truck, with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and asked if we had a hose he could use to clean the driveway. He was polite but I thought the literature said it would be professionally cleaned...I suppose it was, with my water, and my hose, done by a "professional". I left for work and at when I returned I see seal coat in my grass and all over the road. The coating is not uniform on the driveway. I was horribly disappointed. Yes, they kept their promise and did not get any on my home, but I expected a higher quality finish on the driveway. They also broke the hose connection to the house. If they had pulled any harder, I would have had a flooded basement.
