Pronto Heating & Air Conditioning

When our furnace went out at 10 pm on a frigid January Sunday night, Pronto showed up within half an hour to help fix the issue. My husband and I were warned that the fix would likely be temporary given the age and condition of our furnace. Consequently, we decided to replace the furnace and AC. Pronto promptly came out to our house, took measurements of each room and provided us with several different estimates. We chose the right units for our house and budget. When Pronto dismantled and installed our new systems, they were prompt, courteous, and clean. Since then, they've been out to the house to conduct regular maintenance. We couldn't be happier with Pronto and will continue to use Pronto for all of our HVAC needs.

Our salesperson, Jack, was knowledgeable, respectful, and conscientious. He came to our home last November, did measurements and gave us prices. We decided not to go forward then, but he stayed in touch (not in any way pushy!) and we contacted him this spring. He came again, re-did the measurements to double-check, gave us a detailed quote on the spot. Jack worked with us to give us equipment and pricing that fit our needs, and we decided to go ahead. The crew that came to do the install (Kevin, Joe, and Matt) were super nice. Rather than walking through our house, they made trips down a rather steep hill to go in and out the back door. They wore booties and laid down plastic sheeting. When done,they explained everything thoroughly. We are very happy with our new system and Pronto.

They were great, accomidated my schedule, and did what I needed

We were told that we needed a new furnace immediately. The technician that came over showed us furnace and air conditioner models that were more than what our house needed. We tried to tell him that we would like to look at other models, but were told that we couldn't get anything different. We told the technician that we would like to get other quotes. When he heard this, he told us that our current furnace was a hazard and we needed something immediately. He also threatened to call that gas company and have our gas turned off. We told him that we were not interested in doing business with him and he left very angrily.

The technician was absolutely great. He was professional and courteous. He made sure I understood what was going on and what he was doing to fix the problem. He presented several options before he got started and made sure I was comfortable with his approach. It was a very pleasant experience and I will now call on this company for all my home equipment needs in the future.

Everything went very well and no issues. They were prompt and completed the job while I was at work.

Scott is very professional, friendly, and honest. This is the third time he has done maintenance on my furnace or AC. The first time I called Pronto, another company had told me that I needed to replace my entire system because my AC wouldn't turn on. I knew this wasn't true, as it is fairly new and is a Trane. The serviceman insisted I buy his new system and when I didn't, he angrily left. I didn't know who else to call, as I was new in the community, and didn't want to try another random company. In October when the furnace wouldn't start, I found Pronto on Angie's List. Within a few minutes of arrival, Scott had figured out the problem. The thermostat batteries needed replacement. After replacing them, the furnace started right up and Scott completed the yearly maintenance. I will only use Pronto now, because I know they are honest. They offer plumbing and electrician services, as well. In my opinion, the most important quality a company can have is integrity. I will use Pronto for as many different services as possible, because I trust them. Many companies can do the job right, but not all can do it with integrity. Thank you Pronto, and thank you Angie's List.

They were very accommodating. They were very available on the weekend and for emergency services that most people are not.

It worked out nicely. They showed up and diagnosed the air conditioning issue, and had it fixed by the afternoon. It was about $300 which is normal for operations. I will call them again because they were on time. They basically gave us a window and they were at the beginning of the window. I took the afternoon off and rather than waiting around for them, they were in and out in about 2 hours. They were able to get the part that they needed quickly and efficiently. Basically by 5 p.m., our air conditioning was working again. As far as the price, they could have done a little better but the price was more than fair. They were on top of things. They were right on it and they did everything they needed to do. There was no fumbling around, they saw it, they tested it, and knew what it was, got the part, and got it fixed.

After expecting either a recommendation to replace entire AC unit or an upsell pitch for the ac and furnace as well, I was pleasantly suprised when I was informed it was working well after a good cleaning. They were professional and straight forward about the unit being functional after servicing, and there is no urgency to replace even though unit is 20+ years old. They showed up on time, and got the work done in a timely manner.

We woke up to broken water heater and a flooded basement. I called Pronto at 9:00 am and they were out and had replaced the water heater and fixed other various problems by 3:00pm. They showed up same day, right during the time window they promised, and they did a great job. And we were able to use an Angie's List Big Deal.

It went great, we are signed up for a bi annual maintenance plan with this company.

Great service, very responsive, and we had all our questions answered!

I had 4 different companies come to my home to give me quotes. Pronto was the highest rated on Angie's List. Their rep arrived promptly, was professional, and provided a quote before he left. But unlike the other contractors, he didn't itemize for parts and service; all I was given was a bottom line price and a water heater model. Their price was on avg 20% more than most of the other quotes; and while the other contractors all itemized their quotes, they also included a better quality of water heater for the price. Pronto wanted 20% more and only offered a 6 year warranty heater; the others all offered 9-10 year warranty heaters. Since Pronto was the highest rated on Angie's List, I seriously wanted to see if I could do business with them. I contacted the rep via his email and explained that his quote was more than the others and the water heater he included in the quote was subpar to the other contractors; I asked if the price he quoted was his lowest price and if he could match the other contractors on the quality of heater. I got a quick response from the rep indicating that he wanted to earn my business and asked for copies of my other quotes. I was preparing to leave for a week long business trip and only had one of the other quotes handy, which I scanned and sent to him, and I indicated I was looking forward to hearing from him when I returned in a week. Suffice to say, I never heard back from him. As of this writing, it's been more than 4 weeks and still no word. Ultimately Pronto did not earn my business. I'm sure they've earned their reputation on Angie's List, but I cannot contribute to their awesome rating. My experience left me feeling Pronto is less than professional.

Our boiler stopped working during what turned out to be the coldest weekend of November. Pronto was the only heating and cooling company I called that was able to give us a same day appointment (four others were booked two days to a week out). Technicians were professional and helpful, attempting to find a temporary fix for a part that wasn't easily available. Technicians came to our house late on a Friday evening and again on a Saturday, staying beyond what I can assume was their scheduled work day. Aside from the needed part not being available until Monday, the only glitch was how busy they were that weekend. An original arrival estimate of 10 a.m. on Saturday turned into 3:00 p.m. with the technician actually arriving around 4:30. That said, I feel that we were largely informed of updates in timing over the course of the weekend. Pronto also offered to beat an estimate given to us by a competitor which made the experience of waiting a bit longer in the cold for the needed part worthwhile. We were so happy with our experience that we hired them to install a new vent for our chimney a few weeks later; another job well done. I will definitely call them for our annual boiler tune up and any needed repairs in the future.

Pronto installed my furnace and air conditioner about 4 years ago, and I have had nothing but excellent service.

It was good. Scheduling was good and they came on time. They were here around 30 minutes. The technician was very good and she explained what she was looking at and what type of cleanup was needed. She also answered all questions that I had.

It was a good deal. They came out about a week after purchase. He was punctual.

They were great. Everything was seem to be fine. I didn't have any trouble with the scheduling so as soon I scheduled it they came out. They were pretty quick. There was one guy who came out. He was prompt and courteous so we were extremely satisfied.

The service turned out just fine. They showed up on time. They did what they said and I was very happy with the work they did. They came out a couple of days after I purchased the Big Deal. They called me within 24-hours. There were no additional charges to the $65.50 Big Deal. It took them thirty to forty-five minutes to complete the job. It was very well done. I would use them again in the future if they have the same Deal.

I didn't like it. She was really pushy and said I needed a new furnace. She said a lot of stuff was wrong with the furnace and I haven't had any issues with it. One technician came out and was using scare tactics. They scheduled me right away and showed up on time. I had another company come and said everything was fine.

We have been extremely pleased with them. They had removed the old equipment and brought in the new equipment. The old furnace was the original to the house and it was freon based and freon is no longer a coolant that can be administered in a maintenance capacity so it had to be replaced. We had to remove the hot water tank and reinstalled. The scope of service location of other infrastructure had to be addressed removed and replaced along with the install. They had subcontractors they used to do some of the work. The 220 line was relocated so they brought in an electrician to do that. The external condenser was removed and relocated. The entire scope of work that has me appreciative of the overall job.
