Pronto Heating & Air Conditioning

It was good. They didn't actually do that service for us. We ended up needing a whole new furnace. I would tell people that they were prompt, efficient, and the job was done well.

I have heard quite a few lame explanations from people for overcharging. And Pronto is no exception. Its a shame that such people even after having sold their business don't realize where they went wrong and continue similar behavior in different name. I just don't get when it comes to charging customers why are such companies so shortsighted and why do they feel like as long as I am here take everything I can and RUN! A capacitor costs close to $15 but they charged me $300+ . Trip charge $185. Not to mention that when taking an appointment I was told that I will get $50 off any service which was not honored by technician. I reached out to Wade to reaffirm pricing he gave a detailed breakdown of how by charging me 20 times more than actual cost his profit is 10%. Talk about efficiency :) pun intended . Not to mention technician never showed up in time his window was 10am - 2pm and I got a call at 2:30pm saying that if I still want him to come he will come in next 30 min. As is a trip charge of $185 is hefty enough to overcharge on anything else. My advice is that if Pronto is on top of your list, its time to go down the list and call next best guy!

Pronto's quote for replacing my old AC was over $1000 more from a different company for the idenical product. However, after reviewing the quote I decided based on Pronto's reliablity and previous experience with them I decided it was worth spending the extra money.

They suck and I would never use them again. Pronto Heating & Air Conditioning is a piece of crap. I won't use them gain.

they came in assessed the situation, parts were broken and replacement parts were no longer being made for it, it was twice the size it was supposed to be, so they ordered the right size, took out the old system and replaced it with a new greatly improved system AC/Heating system. They were prompt, efficient,neat and clean and out heating and AC bill plummeted. We were very satisfied and would recommend them to anyone without reservation.

Fast response to a failed unit mid summer, Installed new system 3 days later. Arrived on time, finished on time, and left no trace of their presence other than a cool house.

Went well. Don't remember many details or cost at this point, but would use them again for heating/air conditioning service.

The installers showed up on time and were polite and professional. The entire job was done in one day. They cleaned up after themselves and the surrounding basement looked just like it had prior to them showing up. My only complaint was that the electrician didn't make it until a couple of hours after the install was complete. That meant that we had to have somebody at our house from about 7:30am until after 5pm. That gets hard to manage with 2 working adults and 2 kids in summer activities. The electrician did show up just as I was leaving to pick up my kids, but he waited in his truck until I returned.

They helped determine where to put the unit. They did a good job putting it in and it works fine.

The provider would not even come to check on our unit. We were "outside of the service area", which was odd. They are located in Eden Prairie, and my house is located in Loretto -- about a 35 minute drive from downtown Eden Prairie. They were willing to drive all the way up to Maple Grove, which is further away from Eden Prairie than my house, but not come to Loretto. Color me VERY disappointed.

I was pleased with the service provided by Pronto. First, the diagnostic appoinment went well. The technician gave the whole system a once over, determined the problem and that I also seemed to be low on refrigerant, which was concerning given it was barely a year old. The technician kindly refilled the refrigerant without charging me. When he determined the problem, I worried that it would take a while to get the part in, but Pronto was able to get one and return the next day. The second technician was running late, but otherwise he impressed with his quick repairs. Though I'm obviously reluctant to pay $1,000 in repairs, I was mollified somewhat by the fact that Pronto warrantied their repairs including labor costs, which neither my builder nor their installer had done.

The Pronto service rep scheduled the appointment for the following business day from my call to complete a diagnostic check on our air conditioner. The HVAC specialist came out on time that following day and performed the diagnostic check and went over pricing with me. It was straight forward pricing and was fixed in less than 30 minutes. The specialist was outstanding to work with (very friendly, punctual and was very quick). I will definitely be using Pronto for my future HVAC needs!

After owning my home for 2 months, the hot water heater went out and needed replacing. I had already contacted Pronto for info on a regular maintenance contract for my HVAC, and when I searched Angie's List for someone reliable to do the water heater, Pronto (to my surprise) came up on the list...so I called them. Eric arrived way sooner than I expected and was very apologetic that I was caught off guard by his early arrival (which was my fault...they called, and my phone was on silent). Eric quickly assessed the situation and confirmed what I already knew. A replacement would be required. He got me a quote and scheduled the installation for the next day...a Saturday! While he was there, Eric was kind enough to answer my HVAC questions. Having moved from NC to MN, I discovered that HVAC systems are different here. Air exchangers... humidifiers... all new to me. He pointed out a few things about my system that he thought I should know, and he even walked the outside of the house with me to answer questions I had about different pipes and vents that I didn't understand. I signed up for 3 years of semi-annual maintenance, and I requested that Eric do the work. He was that helpful. The next day, the installation crew arrived earlier than expected again...same thing...they called, and I missed the call. This company really is "Pronto" concerning how quickly they arrive and get the job done. Mike started with the draining of the old heater and preparing for the installers. Shortly afterward, Joe and Lyle arrived. All three of the guys were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful when I had questions. I know nothing about water heater installations (particularly a gas power vent heater), but they worked quickly and efficiently. It looks great...very neatly done. They were respectful of our property, made sure they didn't track in dirt, and even helped me move a cabinet while they were here. When they were finished, they answered all my questions, took care of the financial transaction quickly, and explained what I should expect to receive in the mail (receipt, rebate form, etc.). I couldn't be any more pleased with the work and the guys who did it. I'm very surprised to see some of the other Yelp ratings...totally different than my experience. I did not price this work around first, so I don't know if I paid more than I might have with another company. I'll be researching that. It did cost much more than I anticipated. I do know that when I asked, I was extended a discount because I had signed up for a maintenance contract. The discount normally only applies to service work and not installations, but I did get a discount, which I appreciated. Thanks to Pronto for getting me back up and running with hot water, and thanks to Eric, Mike, Joe, and Lyle for being the kind of guys I'm happy to have in my home for service work.

On time. Robby Pauluk checked the unit inside then went out to repair the leak. It was not the unit but it came from whoever did the installation. Robby told me all he had to do and did the work.

Very professional at every level from telephone and email contacts to on site personnel. Work was completed on time. Will definitely use Pronto again if the need should arise.

The technician came out and looked at my air conditioning, and tested to see if freon was low. He then wanted to go in and see my furnace. He checked the furnace and told me I needed a new furnace because of a cracked heat exchanger. It didn't seem right to me at first. I originally wrote a poor review, as I had a second opinion, and that technician said that the heat exchanger was not cracked. Pronto called me after the review to see what they could do to help. They sent out a second technician, and he indeed find that there was a crack. He showed it to me. It was visible. He then ran a test CO test to verify that it was indeed a crack, and my furnace failed. The first technician was correct. Pronto did take care of me, and went out of their way to make sure that it was diagnosed correctly because a cracked heat exchanger could be dangerous. The takeaway from this, and my recommendation to everyone is to have them explain what they saw, and to show you as much as they can. Also that Pronto will do the right thing. Had I asked the first technician to show me, I wouldn't have questioned him. I didn't want to replace the furnace, but I know what I need to do. A frustrating experience overall, but was taken care of by Pronto.

Service provider arrived on time, and showed us some details about our venting system that a previous company checkup had never told us about, we find that our AC now works way more efficiently, reaching all the rooms in the house. Very appreciative of his patience with my questions and with his suggestions. Will hire again!

Everything went smoothly. They were here on time and the price was good.

We call Pronto based on Angieslist reviews and personal recommendations of friends. We were able to schedule service on a saturday (called on Friday) - Sam was on time and very courteous. Diagnosed to be a capacitor issue - had the part on hand - fixed the issue right away. He also spent time investigating the overall functioning of the unit and gave recommendations/assessment. Also provided a rough estimate in case the unit gives trouble again and we consider replacement. Overall, very impressed with service that I signed up for their annual tune-ups (2x per year- spring and fall) for a 2 year term. Highly recommended.

It went well. It also served as a second opinion on the state of my old heater, which was consistent with what I knew about it. I like Pronto.

Matt was prompt and very helpful. He was able to quickly do the tune up and inspection and provided the paperwork on the spot. Pronto was also able to get Matt out to us within a day so I am very pleased with the turn around time and service received.

Came on time and gave a recommendation to replace the water heater for $1900.

It went very well. The sales guy that came out to look at everything and provide quotes on different options was great. His name is Marti BTW and I would recommend him. He is a very honest guy and used to be an installer so he knows what he's talking about. The installers that came did a great job. The duct work they did was custom and it looks great. No "I's" were not dotted nor "T's" not crossed.
